i’ve been in town for 3 years now and this the only tire shop that i trust. its cheaper than any other tire shop, also paul, steve and anthony are nice people, they will take care of you and they will tell what’s the real problem of your car with no bs. i really recommend this place and for sure you won’t get dissapointed for their service.

I have never met more trustworthy and respectable mechanic shop in my entire life and we do not trust any other mechanic shop in all of the valley.

Anthony was great! He helped me get a great deal on four brand new Kumho tires for my car. He not only gave me a great price but he had them on and aligned within 40 minutes. Great service and great price! Check them out!

Stopped in, super rushed for an emergency oil change before a trip out of state. Paul took care of me right away and advices me of issues with my tires. He worked with me to get me the best deals possible, was super informative and nice. Definitely will be back!

So I am a young female with a 2010 Honda Accord and I have to say I never felt pressured here. They are friendly and don’t talk about cars in a way I don’t understand. They didn’t try to upsell or do anything beyond what I needed. I have been here several times for oil chages, removong nails in my tires, replacing tires and now, replace the struts (my car was vibrating really bad over 60 MPS) and do a 100k check up. They call before doing any work to confirm you are comfortable with the estimate (some places do the work and try to tell you later that it was a necessary repair). They are willing to negotiate. I have never needed an appointment. The longest they took was 3 hours (for 100k check up appointment and replace the struts — which is pretty involved). I always verified the repairs and costs with my Dad (an engineer) and he always confirmed their prices were reasonable.
Paul is great. Very personable. Also referred me to a guy who could repair some minor damage to the body. He remembers me when I arrive. Very happy I found this spot. Feels like family. I highly recommend them.

I’ve been coming here forever! Paul and Anthony are literally the sweetest and most helpful guys ever! As a girl I’m always a little nervous when taking my car in but they always advice me on the most cost effective ways for the service I need. I even drop by whenever I hear something funny with my car and they’ll check it ou for me! Definitely recommend them!

Worst place ever !!! I came in today (Thursday 2÷16÷2016) to buy a tires all the way from Van Nuys and after I paid for tires and alignment the salesperson told me that the tires will be there on MONDAY !!! Are you serious ???

I have a Cadillac CTS and my daughter has a VW Passat. I have had both of the cars serviced here. They don’t just have tires… they have amazing & honest service. The repair cost on both cars were at least 35% cheaper than the dealership. Steve was the mechanic on the Passat and he repaired the car then test drove it and found an additional problem that I didn’t expect and he just fixed it (no cost) I can’t say enough about these guys and their professionalism and knowledge. 5 Stars each time I’ve gone to them

Awesome customer service ! The owner Steve and Manager Paul are very kind and speedy. Called to get a quote for a slashed tire, after reaching out to multiple places, their quote was the lowest. Upon arrival, Steve greeted me at my car and told me to pull right in! They got started immediately and give a 5% discount to CSUN students. They are open 7 days a week and do ALL kinds of services not just tires. Great place! And even better for last minute situations!

Be prepared to not be helped especially if you had purchased your parts from a discount tire corporate store as this location is a franchise, a point that was made clear to me when I walked in and showed them my receipt from another location, as well as being reminded again later during my visit.
I had a flat and decided to go to this location as it was closer to the area I was in. They were already reluctant when I showed them my receipt for my tires from the Azusa location that included my hazard repair coverage. They Made me wait 20 minutes before a worker even checked my tire, mind you they just opened and had turned away another customer who apparently had a similar issue like me («you bought your tires from a corporate store, probably need to go there to fix it. I probably don’t have your tire.). I had my infant with me and they still dilly dallied while I waited for them to look at the tire. I eventually moved my closer since no one was coming to me in the parking lot. Someone finally came out, only to have them tell me, «yeah, hole is too big. Go to the store you bought your tires at tomorrow.» Tomorrow? Who has time to go tomorrow when clearly I was there already to get it fixed. Very unwelcoming and useless if you aren’t spending money at their location. I didn’t see him even check if they had the same tire in stock. He just kept referring to returning to the corporate shop to fix this.
Do not come to this location. If you need great service, go to the Azusa location. They have always been helpful, quick, and cost effective for my car needs. From now on, if I have a problem, I will gladly make the drive out east vs going here again and have them treat me like I shouldn’t have gone there. This was the second time I came here and felt like I wasn’t welcome. My husband has taken my car here before, as well, and he too was turned away, told to go to another location as they couldn’t help him. Yes, I am sure I went to this location and had his happen to me. There is only one location in Northridge and I will make sure I don’t come back.

Superb service and friendly technicians make this an easy recommendation.
My tire nail fix was only 15 bucks. I brought the tire and my technician mounted the tire on my car for no charge.
Your best bet is to come in the morning if possible.

I would NEVER recommend any Discount Tire Centers. This one in particular sold me on some shocks for $ 700 indicating they are better than after markets but didn’t show me what they were. When I came back to have them installed they showed me the shocks and model so I looked them up and they were worth only less than $ 25 EACH!!! They want to explain that those were the wrong ones on the internet for my car and they offer life time warranty. Since I had charged them on their credit card they said they couldn’t refund me. Then they were to align my car after the shocks and tires were installed. When it came time to pick up my car, it drifted to the right. WTF… so I had to take it back for them to re-​align. When I got it back it drifted to the left!!! I opted to take my car to another Discount Tire Center and they seemed to have fixed my alignment. I decided to take my car there for tire rotations since they seemed to know what they are doing. But I have bad news for this other location now over on Sherman Way in North Hollywood. Bunch of lazy ass MoFos… The manager at the front counter tells you a lot of BS and the service time is incredibly awful. They sit on their ass and talk to each other for 45 mins before they decide to start working on your car while you sit and wait in the waiting room. I went for my latest tire rotation in January 2016 and I waited an hour and 10 mins before I got my car back. The tech that does alignments was just talking to one of the techs for 45 mins then decided to work on my car. He had my car suspended on the car lifters but was spending a lot of time under the engine compartment… Why the hell do you have to spend time under the engine when all you need to do is rotate my damn tires. When I got my car back the alignment started pulling to the left and sensors started popping up. Coincidence??? I think not…
I called head quarters and spoke to a «master» technician that claims he knows everything and what they sold me is better than after markets gas adjustable shocks. What a loser. They don’t know shit… all they are, are just salesmen trying to steal $$ from you…
DON’T EVER GO TO ANY DISCOUNT TIRE CENTERS!!!
Go to Tire Central Donald in San Gabriel. You’ll get the best prices. no need to haggle. Donald is cool peeps

I love Discount Tire. I have been taking my cars there for years. Steve and Paul are not only the nicest people, they give the best deals in the valley. I am always confident of their work. I have shopped around only to find that their prices and service can’t be beat.
Yesterday, I took my car in for 4 new tires and new brake pads and I was out the door in half an hour. They knew I was on a tight schedule so they put all of their people on my car so I could get out as quickly as possible.
You can always trust that you will get a great, honest deal at Discount Tire. They are a one stop shop. You don’t need to look any further.

I was driving down Parthenia and seen this tire shop so I decided to stop and ask for prices on tires. I thought that since it was 5:00pm that they would just quote me a price and I would have to come back another day but these guys are extremely helpful and fast! A++ Anthony gave me a great price on 4 tires and said he can have them on with an alignment in an hour. He had 3 people waiting in the lobby so I thought there is no way but ill give them a shot. He had my car down and ready to go in 50 minutes. What was really great about these guys they also did a basic inspection on my car while they were changing the tires and found they my struts were shot and causing me to lose tire life and cause issues. Anthony again gave me a great price so I scheduled my struts for Thursday.
I arrived at the shop @ 8am to have my struts put on and met Paul. I told Paul I was from Vegas and that I didnt have another ride to go any where so i would have to wait and that I needed to leave by 10am. Of course Paul looked at me like I was crazy but still said I will do the best that I can. These guys again blew me away! They immediately put 2 employees on my car and had my struts done in 1 hour so I didnt have to cancel my meeting. Also Paul himself put my car on the alignment rack and had that done in about 30 minutes.
I highly recommend this automotive shop!!!

Great place, been her multiple times and the service is always fast. Both times I came in with a huge nail in my tires they patched them up quickly and I was on my way. Paul is also very helpful and understood that I was only there for what I asked, not to purchase anything else. Thanks!

My friend has come here for her tires and when i got my flat she referred me to this place. They are really fast at what they do and very informative. They really cover all things need to know for tires. Anthony and Paul are very helpful and thoroughly go through the steps and pricing. Its fast, its easy, and affordable. I highly recommend!

As good as it gets! Paul and Anthony provided the absolute best customer service I could ask for. The staff took their time to find and diagnose all the the problems with my car. Anthony was patient in explaining everything to me and helping me make the best decision on what to fix first. As I am a woman and always hesitant when going to a mechanic, I was very impressed with their service. I see why they came so highly recommended as i am now another very satisfied customer!

strongly recommend that you do not bring your car to Discount Tires Northridge off of Corbin & Parthenia for any reason. Obviously the individuals who run this Discount Tires (DT) location are desperately in need of money. I say this because of the incredibly shady business ethics & personal & professional lack of morals that they demonstrated in order to take it from me. I was raised in LA & I have had a lot of experiences both good & bad with local automotive service & repair businesses. That being said I have never taken the time to write a negative review regarding my experience with an auto mechanic or service & repair business until now. So that might help you understand how bad this location of DT is… Please learn from my mistake. I cannot more strongly recommend that regardless of the functional or non function of your vehicle under no circumstances should you go to this business. Not even for tires, or something simple like a patch… much less for servicing you vehicle (which in LA is super important to keep running).
–I brought my cherry 2005 M3 which was running perfectly & making no noises breaks or otherwise to DT because my tires we’re extremely bald & needed replacement. My vehicle, which runs flawlessly & is meticulously maintained by Star Auto Sport & Santa Monica BMW had no issues what so ever, other than it had very old & worn tires. Luckily It’s is my second vehicle & my primary vehicle which I drive on a daily basis makes this M3 something I use for pleasure & when my truck is being worked on or in the case of an emergency. As soon as I dropped off the car the unnecessary repairs, up selling, lies, & dishonest business practices started. Minutes after leaving the location the guy running the front office at the time Anthony, began calling me non stop with additional things that I needed to do to the car in order to «be safe» (his words verbatim). I was tired & on deadline at work or else I would have had no issue saying «no»! Unfortunately by the 10^th call Anthony had convinced me to add an alignment for $ 110, which I was OK with even though I would have preferred my trusted mechanic to do it.
–This is where my experience with this business takes a turn for the worse & goes from bad to criminal behavior. My breaks & rotors tho worn were probably at about 70% with an additional 3 – 6 months of use remaining. Considering it is a BMW M3 the brakes I had on the car were super high end & high quality. Totally functional they stopped on a dime & made ZERO noises of any kind. I drive the car twice a month so they were in better than fair condition & did not in any way need service or replacement. Unfortunately because of Anthony’s non-​stop phone calls & his urging that I was putting myself in danger I finally gave in. More in an effort to get him to stop calling me at work than anything I said that he could go ahead & put front & rear break pads on the car & that I would do the routers later. This is the first indication that DT doesn’t give a damn about me or my car or my safety & just want money. No mechanic or automotive business of any kind would authorize/​suggest that new break pads be put on without the accompanying new routers. They must be replaced at the same time so that the pads & routers wear evenly or considerable danger/​damage can occur to both components. Anthony tells me that I will get an «upgrade» when I do the routers & assures me that I am doing the right thing & «its the only way to be safe». He NEVER once mentions that although I am giving him $ 300 for brand name OEM pads, that he is actually putting «SLAP PADS» on the car (which are like temp/​generic short term break pads) and only when I pay for both front & rear pads & routers will he put the pads on the car that I paid for. So on my M3 a high performance sports car DT charged me $ 300 for break pads & actually put slap pads that cost $ 7 on my vehicle. Anthony mentions that there might be a little noise because I have new pads with old routers & that I should not be concerned about it. I leave DT & drive my M3 for 5 minutes on street roads barely going the speed limit when my breaks start to fail/​become unresponsive/​start smoking/​the breaking noise was louder than cars engine or radio. This is DT way of making sure that the top notch work they do keeps you «safe». When I got towed back home & saw the invoice for $ 935 (only $ 510 was for my cheep tires) the absurd charges for slap pads & the overbilled labor amounts I knew I had been taken bad. The final indication that you should learn from my mistake & my experience & stay as far away from DT as possible: When I called & spoke to the owner «Steve» (who knows what his real name is) & politely told him to keep my money & return the BOSH pads removed from my vehicle so that I could put them back on & the pads & routers would be evenly worn and the car would be back to functional… He told me to go F*** myself & hung up. My advice is RUN!

We need an appointment pretty quickly and Discount Tires was quickly able to accommodate on a Sunday afternoon.
They had the size tires we needed in stock and were able to have us in an out within an hour.
