Specialties

I offer mind-​body stress reduction strategies and practices based on mindfulness principles and yoga therapeutics. I customize to the group or individual in private sessions, be it in my studio, in corporate settings, human resource departments or retreats. I teach truly to all levels of ability, addressing the whole person without requirement of a certain athletic type.

I specialize in getting relief from chronic stress, lack of focus, back pain, neck pain, joint pain relief and breathing dysfunctions as well as work-​place issues like repetitive strain injuries, sciatica and stress.

I incorporate an embodied sense of wellness using intention and mindfulness that assist in changes in perception, behavior and give students practical tools balancing work and home life. This is all done in a down-​to-​earth practical and friendly manner with many years experience and skill behind me.

Arden loves to guide others to experience well-​being and healing, and has been since her certification in 1992. With humor and sensitivity, Arden’s wholistic approach is adaptive to the individual, gentle and informative.

In 1999, she traveled to India to conduct research in Yoga therapy for her degree in South Asian Studies from Mount Holyoke College. She continued with her studies in Yoga therapy and became certified in 2003. Besides her studio programming, she regularly teaches through the Human Resource Departments at Smith and Amherst Colleges. For thirteen years she taught at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton yoga therapeutics for the childbearing year. She has presented at the International Yoga Therapy Conferences in California.
