Luv! Getting my nails done here. Relaxing environment. They also do really great waxing. The girls are very nice. Make a appointment. Ask for Payton or Kim. Both ladies are GREAT! I will definitely be back.

I went two weeks ago for a pedicure with a friend. The place is really big and looks nice/​clean. The service was okay while we were there. We were seated in the back and the washing machine kept running.
Upon check out, it became a bit awkward as the nail technicians who did our nails were seated by the register. The check out person asked us how much we wanted to tip right in front of them.
All of that was okay, but then I came home and 5 days later the polish completely came off multiple toes. The entire piece of polish came off. I’m not sure if the polish was old or what, but I’m really disappointed that I paid for a pedicure that I bought would last for a few weeks and it didn’t even last a week. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

— Although the rather large sign on the window states walk-​ins are welcome, a walk-​in will be given an appointment and asked to return at a later hour. (Word to the wise: when there is a similar business within a quarter of a mile, you don’t let customers walk out the door!)
— The staff are nice, but they should introduce themselves. I shouldn’t have to ask.
— Not once did someone/​anyone try to tell me about the additional services available. When I inquired about the cubicles behind the register, I was told what they were and that was it. They didn’t ask if I was interested or even the cost of a personal nail kit.
— People like me go to unwind by enjoying the massage chairs while getting a pedicure. ALL of the chair controls for the massage were removed from the first two sections of the salon.
— I had an appointment, yet I sat soaking my feet while my technician did someone’s eyebrows.
— Some of the polishes are either inferior or stretched beyond their usefulness. If I pick a color I like, the tech polishes my nails with it then has to remove it to start over because it’s uneven and lumpy. I don’t have time for that.
— Components on several of the chairs were glued permanently in place, so it could not be removed. As a customer, I shouldn’t have heard internal issues. As a customer I’m glad I did because I know gets removed to clean the basin properly.
All this leads me to find a new shop. I hope an owner reads and investigates this because no matter how the cute the place appears, there are many issues there that impact the customer’s experience. Good luck!

I really liked the girl I had, she was really nice… However, I do not recommend getting a massage there… The room was clean and tranquil, but I could hear the people on the other side of the wall laughing and talking while getting pedicures… The worst part was hearing them cutting their nails, that’s not relaxing to me at all! Also, the lady had somewhat long nails, so there were often times I could feel her nails digging into and scratching me as I’m trying to relax! I may try back for a mani or pedi, but never again for a massage!

The girl who gave me a pedi was really nice. Places wasn’t so clean and the front desk girl wasn’t personable. Nails look good and a good price

HORRIBLE ACRYLICS!!! There are only two employees that do acrylics in the entire salon. DO NOT get them done by the lady with the BIG neck tattoo of a butterfly!!! She spent 3 hours putting on a new set and they are lumpy, uneven, and she didn’t get even close to the cuticle area, so they looked a week grown out when she was done! I complained and they gave me a whomping 25% off… and offered for me to come back in the AM, but I was in a wedding so I had NO more time. And my nails HURT from her hand filing my nails. They don’t have electric filers at all. WASTE OF MONEY! Garbage looking nails!

Sorry to write this because I live in the area and have had services here before that were ok. However yesterday I had a gel manicure and it was So bad, I’ll never come back. She didn’t do a good job of scraping off my old polish so I had to do so when she walked away. Then she didn’t clean my cuticles … Thought that was standard in a manicure. Then when it came to polish, when my nails weren’t ever really clean, the polish job was terrible. It peeled the next day because she didn’t know what she was doing. I’ve gotten gel manicures for over 6 years now and u was really disappointed with this one. I’m going to get a redo tomorrow. Oh and it took her over an hour … Not worth my time. Unfortunately. I’ll be heading back to my other nail salons.

This is a tough review to write because the girls who helped us were dolls, but this place needs to step it up a notch on just a couple of fronts…
1) Although the girl who did my sister’s pedi and gel mani was the sweetest ever (and did a great pedicure) – when a client calls and makes an appointment for a gel mani SPECIFICALLY, you don’t give them someone who has never done one before. Period. My sister, although ultimately happy with the result, had her nails redone about 4 times. The girl who was helping her did everything she could to make sure that when my sister left, her gel mani was right, but still… poor form.
2) When I came in I told them the design I wanted on my nails, they told me they could do it. They couldn’t. In fact, they have one girl there who can do nail art the way it’s supposed to be done. That’s it. And she wasn’t there. My gal (I will not share her name because I don’t want her connected to a so-​so review. She’s great!) just couldn’t get the help and support she needed. She could do some nail art, but there was NO ONE there to help her with what she couldn’t do. She tried two different methods to get my nails done and just couldn’t get it. I felt awful for her – but I also was getting really upset. By the time we left we had been there about 3.5 hours. That’s WAY tooo long. I had things to do and I had not planned on more than 1.5hrs, which is more than enough for your standard pedi and gel mani.
3) I also watched them turning away multiple walk-​in clients when their signage outside clearly stated «walk-​ins welcome.» That could seem like a positive to some, but to me I saw two customers leaving with a horrible taste in their mouths… it was visible on their faces. If I were the business owner, I WOULD NEVER want any employee of mine to treat a potential customer that way. There are so many ways to remedy that situation. But if I were a business owner, I’d offer any walk-​in client who couldn’t be served anytime that day a discount on their next service. But that’s just me.
Now on to the positives, which there are plenty. The space itself is large and very clean. Each pedicure station looked freshly cleaned – all with signage assuring you so. Their gel nail color selection is one of the best and most updated I’ve seen around. You’ll have a hard time choosing most certainly. They have a simple and moderately priced pedicure, but be careful what you say «yes» to as it will add extra charges. They have varying scented lotions you can pick from for your pedicures and the pedi’s themselves look great. My gel manicure, although not entirely what I wanted, was a well-​done manicure– and my sister’s was too, after 4 tries.

This place is fantastic, and the best deal in the area. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the shop is very clean. The prices are the best in the area, and both my and my moms nails turned out great! I definitely recommend Sammy, and Brittany.

I wrote the below message to their corporate office, and after some time they did get back to me with their apologies and the offer of a free service at either their Parma or North Olmsted location. I won’t be going back to N. Olmsted, and won’t get a manicure at either location after the terrible experience I had, but will try another pedicure.

I wanted to write about a recent experience at one of your nail salons, specifically, the one in North Olmsted, Ohio.
Overall, it was a really bad experience that left my cuticles bleeding, red, swollen and sore.
I had scheduled an appointment for which the tech was 15 minutes late. She was given a walk-​in earlier in the day that put her behind. It’s not her fault, my issue is that you don’t have someone on staff specifically for walk-​ins. If someone has the courtesy to make an appointment, you should have the courtesy to be on time in an industry such as this one.
The service I received was a classic mani/​pedi. The pedi was just ok, not bad but not the greatest. When I got home I saw paint on my skin around the nails. The mani was terrible.
I’m not trying to get anyone in trouble, because the nail tech was very nice, but she did a horrible job on the mani. The cuticles on both my thumbs were cut so short that she took off skin that should not have been taken off, and both took about 45 – 50 minutes to stop bleeding. She just painted over the blood. As mentioned earlier, my thumbs today are swollen and red.
Not only that, the manicure itself had bumps and bubbles in it, and I had to refile my nails when I got home because there was flaky stuff on the underside of the nails still attached.
In the end, I was at Luv Nails 30 minutes longer than I should have been because of the service taking longer than it should have and the tech being late.
This was a really, really bad experience. I probably wouldn’t have written if it was just a bad manicure, but the bad manicure coupled with the fact that my thumbs are really hurting today was too much not to to unmentioned.»
FYI– It took 5 days for my thumbs to scab over, and about 6 for the swelling to go down. This was the WORST service I have ever received.

After going to Luv for pedicures for about a year I decided to give their gel nails a shot. My first appt with Jamie was great. Unfortunately two of my nails broke. I called to schedule a full and fix and they told me she wasn’t working that day and scheduled me with Crystal. Jamie was there when I arrived and told me she had made them too thin and apologized. I waited 30 minutes before Crystal finally arrived. She was not very talkative and actually told me that she was in a bad mood and didn’t feel like having conversations. Nails were fine except I was a little concerned I didn’t get the gel top coat with gel nails which was included last time but shrugged it off. Later that day I called and said that the gel was separating from the fake tip and was told it was fine. The same nails broke a few days later. I again called and made an appt to fix and fill. I was scheduled with Crystal again, and thankfully this time she was much more pleasant and very talkative. Again no gel top coat with my gel nails. I later learned that I was charged to have the nails fixed, as well as charged to have them shortened which seems to be a fake charge as no one else I know who had gone there had ever been charged for such. I wasn’t informed of the charge until after the service was performed. About a week in my nails started lifting up top and cracking because they were too thin, which hadn’t happened before. At this point in a matter of a month I had spent over $ 100. I called to speak with a manager and my call was never returned. I made a wall post on their Facebook and it was deleted. I made another and they then hid their wall posts so they couldn’t be seen so I left a review. I also contacted their home salon and have not been able to speak to management or likewise.
Very poor service masked with horrible customer service. Very disappointed.
Updated: I was contacted by management to have my issue resolved after this review.

My nails were done so badly and my acurlics were done soooo poorly. The french tip was always horrible. NEVER. AGAIN. The lady even cut me badly with the nail filer!

I’m really surprised by the negative reviews here, I’ve gone twice now and had a really great experience. Pedi twice and regular manicure and shellac once each. My shellac is running strong a week later and my pedis last forever. The only reason they don’t get a 5 is both times I felt like the massage is lacking and since that is my favorite part of the service, I’d like to see it improved.
Everyone there was polite and helpful and the place itself is clean and doesn’t have that nasty acrylic smell. The prices are also really fair (to low) for Cleveland. I highly recommend, it is definitely my go to place now!

The people who work here are friendly and the positive experience stops there. There is no pumicing or exfoliating of your feet with a standard pedicure. The girl basically dragged a large buffer over my heels twice and did a polish change for $ 22. Onto the manicure — so excited for the OPI colors!!! And just like that my excited goes out the door. The color is bleeding all over my nails onto my skin. The girl is near tears and while I’m soaking the color off she leaves to smoke (I can tell by how she smells when she comes back). While she’s gone another girl comes over and says they’ve all been having problems with that one color bleeding and they’ll give me a different color for free. I figure sure why not? Wrong! The new color is bleeding all over as well. The girl doing my nails feels really bad about it, but that doesn’t make up for me leaving with stained skin looking like a mechanic’s hands. After over 3 hours I leave with a lousy pedicure and my nails looking worse than when I arrived.

Should have read the reviews. The girl painted my nails like I wasn’t paying her! The inside of the place was really nice and they had great customer service. But bad manicures.

I had seen a commercial on TV while I was visiting Cleveland & decided to check it out. I did the «gel» manicure (they used the OPI version on me). OMG what a horrible mess!!! It cost me like $ 36 and the polish was thick in places and thin in others. She couldn’t get the sides without it leaking onto my skin. I seriously wanted to cry. When I checked out, I showed them my nails & they said I could come back the following day to have them re-​done for free. Having gel removed from your nails is very harsh… But I reluctantly came back because they were THAT BAD. the girl who re-​did them wasn’t much better. I seriously wanted to take the polish from her & apply it myself. I get manis/​pedis all the time & both girls I went to had NO CLUE how to apply polish correctly. I was very disappointed with this salon. Will NEVER go back.

Well my girlfriend and I go everywhere for mani/​pedis. I have to say this was the worst place ever. We give it until February 2013 before it goes out of business. (It will get through the holidays because men will mistakingly by gift certificates for their spouses/​girlfriends/​moms). They tried to sell us our own tool kits that would only be used on us every time we came in (first though; do I need my own tool kit, don’t you sterilize all the tools you use??) So I was grossed out before I even began. The girls who came out to take us back looked young, seedy, not professional and could barely see over their 1“thick false eyelashes and bangs. I asked where she went to school to learn this (because I guessed she hadn’t even gone to school). The tools she used were just in a tray, not in sterilzed bags and we arrived at 6:30 and didn’t leave the place until 8:30. There were no documents on the walls with nail tech licenses and I was completely creeped out by the whole experience. Won’t ever go back. Too bad, it’s a nice looking place, but looks can be deceiving.

This place is a no go. The décor looks really nice and impressive, but the quality of service was completely lacking. We were greeted by a rude older woman with blonde hair. The technician was so new and didn’t have the experience necessary for satisfactory results. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning for any additional services.

I had a mani/​pedi at this place a few days after it opened. The Girl who did it was 18 yrs old and had just finished high school, took a few week course on nail teching and went straight to working on people at this place. The service provided was awful! the cuticles where not cut straight and actually looked «choppy/​wavy» the polish looked like a child had done it, polish outside of the nail. Upon checking out I explained and showed the work to the front desk and they said «oh maybe next time yo can try someone different, we will def talk to her and let her know were she needs to improve» they did not offer to comp the mani/​pedi or even to have someone else re do it. I was required to pay for this mess. When I go to a nail salon I don’t expect the techs to be learning on the job or practicing on paying customers.

I decided to try the new nail place in my area. BAD CHOICE. I called at 5pm to ask if they took walk ins, they suggested I make appointment, set for 5:30pm. My gut told me to walk out but I stayed upon arrival. I was greeted by a desk attendent that asked me to sign into the computer and then was presented with a week explanation of the toolkit purchase $ 22. After I declined I was told to just think about it. I was directed to the polish wall, I asked about gel and the desk attendant was confused, she did not know if they used Shellac or Gellish. Then a man popped his head out and said the tech will show you colors. So at 6pm I was brought back to the pedi chair and presented with the remote that seemed to NOT work. I asked for the classic pedi– you receive no cuticle cutting and just a file, the menu said it was a 30 min service– took 45 mins. the shellac manicure was poor also– my polish is thick and is peeling after 2 hours. no hand soak or cuticle cut. note this was s $ 36 manicure. so beware of the $ 30 mani+pedi they advertise. I will not return. The staff was unprofessional and not speedy. I overheard the staff introducing themselves to each other on the floor, they didn’t even know who each was after 3 week sof being open Finally walked out at 7:20pm and $ 64+ tip later. I will stick to Liz nails in Rocky river.
