Dessertology is an online based dessert catering company, located in New York. The company was started in 2011, by the owner and pastry chef, Joseph De Chirico who is a Culinary Academy of Long Island Alumni. We specialize in custom cakes, cupcake and cookie favors, specialty desserts and more. Dessertology takes pride in baking all of our products from scratch and from the world’s finest ingredients. Custom cakes and desserts, that are made to perfection and delivered right to your door, or to the venue of your next event. Dessertology will give you a full dessert experience, and make all your custom cake and dessert dreams come to reality.

Business Owner

My love for baking and cake decorating started at the very young age of thirteen. My inspiration to pursue a career in pastry arts came from watching my cousin design her custom cakes, and I knew it was something I wanted to do. After I graduated high school, I took some time off to work with my dad, and figure out what my next step was. In the summer of 2011, I started to do my research on culinary schools. I came across the Culinary Academy of Long Island, which is now known as Star Career Academy. I decided I was going to go and tour the school. My dream was always to own my own business, and all of my friends and family know that. I was always doing cakes, cupcakes, and other type of desserts for friends and family functions, but I wanted something more. Throughout my internships, and previous jobs, I still continued to build my business. I took the «next step» and designed my own website.
