/-/-/A little info I found out after writing this review. The establishment was originally Dublin’s Bar and Grill. Since there are no reviews of Dublin’s this is still the first review, besides, these are new owners. \-\-\ Shea’s Bar and Grill is a family owned establishment in two parts, the Bar and the Grill. This review will be of the grill end of the business. My wife and I have recently moved into the area and are currently scoping out all the diners, drive-ins and dives(apologies to Guy Fiery.) Obviously we are not going back to «Cheers» all the way across the city so we are searching for a place that will end up being our 3 or 4 nights a week hang. Shea’s will not be it. The two times I have been here I was served by a gentleman that I am assuming is the owner or manager(I did not inquire as to which), he however is certainly not a professional waiter and that makes the experience difficult(orders come up slow, drink service is inconsistent and check service has to be asked for.) The food is your standard bar food, absolutely nothing to set them apart from any other bar and grill. However I have to warn you the faithful reader, they offer a dessert called«Shoogie Bites» or something like that. They are basically beignets but they are heavy and unadorned. You get like 8 on a plate, no fruit sauce, no cinnamon and sugar, no sour cream, or not even powdered sugar. In short, zero presentation and an insult to the customer. AND, if you eat them, have a strong stomach, they are very oily.(I had a Yiddish quote here but Unilocal would not post the hebrew.(mah’shoo’ga’nah)) There is nothing that is egregious about the spot, but there is nothing to recommend it either other than it’s in a good location. My only suggestion to the owners is get someone in that understands the restaurant business better, dried out specials and cheap burgers will not drive business, good experiences and exceptional food will. Unfortunately, this will not be on my «Cheers» list.
