U Frame It Gallery

I am very particular about any art work I place in my home. U Frame It was always my go to place because I could work with them to create each piece and do much of the work myself. I have been coming to them for many years now (they were on Sherman Way prior to their move) and have worked closely with Leslie Flood. Insurance concerns have taken some of the self framing aspect out of U Frame It, but you still can do some of the work if you want to. They will give you the choice. The great thing is, even if you want them to do all of the framing work, when you connect with Leslie, she will partner with you in putting together a creative and expressive piece.
I have had the pleasure of working with her over many years and her professionalism, care, and expertise has never been intrusive and has always been appreciated. She has a wonderful eye and a sincere pleasure when the art work comes together. Her ability to personalize each piece that is brought into the store for framing makes it a creative/​collaborative experience each and every time.
You would think this kind of service comes at a high price, but I have always found U Frame It fair and cost competitive to other framing galleries (even less costly than many). And other framing services can do a good job, it’s just hard to find people who get genuine pleasure out of doing it. That’s what keeps me coming back here. Too many people in the art business push their opinions with an «I know better, I’ve been doing this for years.» attitude. Not Leslie. She listens first and then works it out with you.
Next time you want something hanging on your wall, there are many shops that will frame your piece well, but there are very few places that have individuals who want to work with you the way Leslie does.
At the end of the day, in a competitive field, where the work is good in many shops, it comes down to customer service and who you want to work with, not just where to go to get it done. I’m a bit old school this way. I still believe there is great value in customer service and relationships, fortunately U Frame It still believes this as well.

Wow! This store is absolutely amazing! I came to them with a few projects I needed done quickly, and the owner helped me personally. She helped me pick out frames, mats, and final touches for all of my pieces. There was a watercolor painting of my family’s house, a few small pictures, and a personal project that I didn’t know what I wanted when I came it. Adriana helped me put together a 100% custom framed piece using old model ship sails and a picture of my late father. They made it look so beautiful that it was hard not to get choked up when I saw the final piece. The painting and smaller pictures that I had custom framed turned out so much better that I pictured it when I first came in. With all of the work that needed to be done, they were able to have it all ready in 2 days! The price was very reasonable, and I feel like they went above and beyond what I paid for. I will recommend this store to anyone who has any framing needs, and I will absolutely be using U-​Frame-​It in the future.

EXCELLENT work! Half the price of the competition’s estimate, done in a fraction of the time the other guys needed. I had two oil paintings mounted into frames, stretched canvas jobs, and they took lots of time to show me different options & make recommendations. No hurry-​up-​and-​choose attitude like I’d gotten at Aaron Brothers in Studio City on Ventura blvd, and who’s estimate was «at least $ 1000» and needing «at least a week» to do the framing. U-​Frame-​It did it in ONE day with truly perfect work, with better choices of frames & matte offered, and the bill was $ 535. Not $ 1000, $ 535 for BETTER work, faster. Think about that, it’s enough to make you mad, and I am glad I kept checking around and found these guys before making a big mistake. I don’t write a lot of Unilocal reviews but U-​Frame-​It really made my Christmas special by framing 2 things with spectacular customer service and quality work, done fast, and I wanted to highly recommend them to you. Go ahead and get estimates from others and then go here before you do anything, and compare the price & most of all the customer service, and you will see what I mean. Way to go U-​Frame-​It, I’ll be back!

At my work everything is last minute. We needed a mat for a frame with four openings. I called a few frame store chains that we usually frequent and was told it would take around 10 days for a mat. I called U-​Frame-​It, after finding it on Unilocal,and was told they could have it ready for me in about 10 minutes! I rushed over and was able to select the color of the mat, handed over my photos and frame and 10 minutes later it was magically complete! Will definitely recommend this to anyone who is in need of framing.

Inna worked wonders and had my custom frame job done beautifully in the time it took me to run over to Target and back. I had just visited Los Angeles Papergroup to restore a wedding portrait done in pastels and wanted to get it under conservation glass right away. John Davis recommended I skip Aaron Bros. and Michaels and get a proper framing at U Frame It. I feel like I had the best guidance through every step of this process. Thank you!

This place ROCKS! Really pro service, friendly, Inna was awesome. They do custom pro jobs and as in the title of the store let you frame standard sizes yourself on their worktable. For 25 bucks I had my beautiful film festival poster framed and ready for the wall. Do it yourself the right way over here! Also their custom stuff is very beautiful and affordable.

Leslie is the Best! Very impressed with their workmanship, prices and turnaround.

I have been using U Frame It Gallery for years, both for my personal and professional framing needs. Adriana and her staff have always given my JUST what I wanted, even when I was sometimes not quite certain what I was looking for.
Just this week, we needed to frame a dozen posters for an upcoming show with only 24 hours to turn around the work. U Frame It finished the work as promised and it looked great.

After visiting other frame shops to get quotes on framing, I found the great reviews for U-​Frame-​It and decided it might be worth the longer drive from Santa Monica. The location was easy to find and there was plenty of parking right there so I was off to a good start.
I was helped by Inna as soon as I walked in. I didn’t tell her that I also had a quote from Aaron Brothers to have the exact same 16″ x 16″ photo framed.
Inna was incredibly professional, friendly and helpful. She gave me a number of framing options to help keep my costs down which I hugely appreciated, especially since it’s for a charity auction. The frame I chose was not in stock but she said she could get it very quickly. In less than 48 hours after I placed this order, it was ready for pickup and framed perfectly. I couldn’t be happier with the result.
As for the Aaron Brothers quote I had for the same photo — it was higher and to add insult to injury, that was with a 50% coupon. Aaron Bros also didn’t have the frame of my choice in stock and I was told it could take more than a month to be in stock, even though it was a very basic 2″ black frame.
After the exceptional job U-​Frame-​It did, the fast turnaround of my order, great pricing and friendly service, I’ll be bringing all my framing work to this location from now on.

Good selection of frames. Very friendly staff. Parking could be a problem since they are sharing it with a small grocery store. Would definitely recommend this place.

U-​Frame-​It Gallery installed 3 custom collage frames in our hall. They are beautiful, they hang straight — they have museum glass so there’s no reflection. U-​Frame-​It in Van Nuys is the only place I go for framing. No other place I’ve been to compares in terms of quality or price, and they have pre-​framed product for sale as well. Leslie has framed over 25 pieces for me, and she and her team take it to another level. They are artists at what they do. For every finished piece they’ve presented to me, not only has the artwork been transformed to look its absolute best but the framing job itself has been a work of art too. What more can a customer ask for? (Oh, and they are super nice and professional, and they even have parking!)
