I was told to wait 15 minutes for lamaju to be ready, after the 15 minutes I was not served and people that came in after me had already been taken care of. Cashier was not nice at all and wasted 30 mins and I just left without getting served.

I came here for the first time and the last time! I was ordering a pizza from Domino’s next door and I was curious, so I wondered in. I walked up to the cashier lady, who ignored me completely! And when she could ignore me no longer, she said, «Can I help you» in the most uninvited and unfriendliness voice you can imagine. She did NOT want to serve me! I am a white American and she is Armenian and all the customers waiting for their orders were Armenian! This obviously is an Armenian establishment, but mark my words, this cashier was acting very prejudice with me, as if I did not belong and her demeanor showed one as NOT wanting to serve me. I asked the cashier about a particular food item that I saw sitting out and she said to me, «That is a 10 minute wait.» I asked about another food item sitting out and she acted like she did not want to sell to me. I told the cashier that I would like one of those and she grab it reluctantly and hesitantly… probably just to get me out of her hair. Armenians can be some of the most nastiest, selfish, stubborn people group I have come across!!! Even though I treated this cashier with the utmost respect, she made my presence feel unwanted, unaccepted, and unliked. She plainly and clearly did NOT want to serve me! I will NEVER be back!

love their cheese boraks! Their lamajuns have gotten better. I usually never carry cash on me so I love that they’ve started taking credit cards :) and it’s soooo close to my house!

Food is very good but customer service sucks. There is one primitive woman in the front would never give you a smile. That’s why I don’t go there that often. There is across the street similar bakery with a very good food and excellent customer service. Taron bakery deserves only one star for their service.

Awful parking but their spicy borek is great. Their lamaju is also delish. Long wait on the weekends though so perhaps order in advance.

So glad we made the detour. Lamajeune just like when I was a little kid living in LA! Yummy! They also have cheese and spicy cheese boreks. Super inexpensive. Their parking lot is tiny and difficult to park so we found street parking. Delicious, though the customer service is a bit serious it’s a gem and worth the drive!!! $ 1 lamajeune I can eat 5 and then some! Lol

I Love this Place! I’m such a sucker for Boreks and this place is my new place to get them!!! I’m Born & Raised in Los Feliz a.k.a Little Armenia so I know me a good borek and these definitely are top notch! Now I don’t have to drive back to the city to get them I can just get them here in my Neighborhood! They don’t accept credit cards unless you’re making a purchase of $ 10+ so that sucks but I don’t mind.

Called in at 9:00am putting an order of 36 lahmajuns for 11:00am. I walk in at 11:10 and they tell me that the order is not ready and I need to wait 10 minutes. 15 minutes pass and the whole time I’m staring at the cook chatting away with some lady about nonsense. I’m not sure what kind of business operation this is. They have no sense of urgency or care for their customers. The food is good I’ll give them that, keep up this customer service and you won’t be in business for long.

When I went to middle school I would stop to by here in the morning to buy a lamajune or a cheese beoreks to eat at school. It opens fairly early which is great and the food is good too great for the times when I only had a dollar and was kinda hungry.

Considering there are many Armenian bakeries in the area, this is where we been going for many years now. Great tasting lamajunes and other treats. Just call ahead in the evening to ensure they have any lamajunes left for that day.

Turns out they increased their prices, which sucks. But the reason I did give this place a 3 is their lack of customer service skills. Attracting and being able to keep customers heavily relies on the service you give. If an employee walks in the bakery looking at her customer in a judgmental fashion, it does not reflect so well on their reputation, and in fact, it makes the customer rethink about whether or she made a mistake by trying the food at this bakery. Advice: be welcoming and smile when a customer enters and greet them at least. The food is great; if they service matches the quality of food, I bet more customers would make this their choice of bakery to buy goods from.

My go to place for beoreks. The lahmajunes are great too. Usually everything is ready out of the oven when you walk in. Have them warm it up for you right there and enjoy. One of the best bakerys in town.

My friend shared a piece of spicy cheese borek with me once. So I went back & got one & another thing filled with meat(lahmajune?)…but it wasn’t for me. I think the meat was flavored with an herb that I didn’t care for. I would go back only for spicy cheese borek. The bakery is tiny and only offers a few items but is cheap & fresh.

When ever I venture out to North Hollywood, Glendale or Burbank — I’m always on the lookout for good armenian bakeries. They’re abundant in the Valley and non-existent on the westside so you can imagine my excitement. Taron has weird hours on Sunday so if you’re in the area, make sure you get here before 3pm! I bought 5 cheese boreks and 2 spicy cheese boreks and a dozen lamajunes. The best prices at $ 1.50 each for the regular cheese ones and $ 3.00 for the spicy ones. lamajunes are pretty similar in price everywhere you go which have bumped up to $ 0.90 which are flat breads with spices + ground meat. Go early b/c they tend to sell out fast if you’re heading there later in the day.

I am Taron’s long time customer, will follow them whatever they go, no joke!!! They have the best spicy cheese borek EVER… Always warm and fresh, most of the time right from the oven. It is so sad the girl below gave them that one horrible rating only because she had to walk… across the street to get money. What a tragedy… To walk couple of extra steps that she chose to walk, no one forced her. This just makes me sad, that there are a lot of angry and unhappy people around me… Oh, well… I will forget the negative girl and her review pretty quickly… My Cheese Borek will stay with me Forever :)
