Established in 1999.

Based out of Los Angeles, CA, The Sahlala Dancers are one of the original international dance companies in the state. Often imitated but never duplicated, they have been capturing the imagination of audiences since 1999. Featured on ABC’s «Dancing with the Stars,» the Sahlala Dancers have a mass appeal that captivates all audiences alike.

Jillina C.

Business Owner

A Master dancer, instructor & choreographer, Jillina has devoted her life to dance. In 1999 she formed, Jillina’s Sahlala Dancers and then, in 2003, she joined the Bellydance Superstars where she served as the artistic director and main choreographer until 2009. She continued to serve as one of their principle choreographers until 2010.

In the spring of 2009 Jillina started Bellydance Evolution, for which she is also a producer, co-​director and performer. Bellydance Evolution is a revolutionary approach to the art of Bellydance by taking a theatrical sense and presenting a show much like a ballet with a story line.

Jillina co-​produced 9 instructional DVDs, which, due to their success, are now offered in 5 different languages. She has also been featured in numerous award-​winning Performance DVDs. Summer of 2009 and 2010, Jillina was invited to be a featured performer in the prestigious Closing Gala at Ahlan Wa Sahlan, in Egypt; an honor which has never been awarded to an American.
