This place is decent if you’re just looking for a quick, easy, relatively healthy lunch or dinner. It’s clean and modern on the inside, and you can customize everything, even the rolls themselves. We got a bowl with tuna, asparagus, cucumber, avocado, mushrooms, sprouts, brown rice, and wasabi aioli sauce. It was decent but nothing really special. We also got a hamachi roll, which again was decent but nothing really special. I liked the cilantro on it and the fish was decent quality. The miso soup has bits of tofu and seaweed in it which is nice.

This place is a 9min walk from where my sister lives. We were being lazy and didn’t want to walk over but instead ordered delivery. We should have just walked because it took a little over an hour to receive food. Idk if that’s the restaurants fault or eat24’s fault but I don’t think I’ll be ordering delivery anymore. The food was great and enjoyed everything I ordered and I can’t wait to eat there again. The only thing I’ll pass on is the miso soup. I didn’t enjoy that as much.

Had the sushi burrito with spicy tuna, cucumber, green onion jalapeño, crunchy tempura wasabi aioli. So good. Brought the whole family out here, very good choice, I don’t get how people bag on this place, it’s decent quality and really filling. Would definitely come back

I previously rated this establishment 3 stars, due to my first experience being a little confusing. The very kind owner Avi reconciled and I couldn’t be happier. Today I created my own roll. I did white rice, seaweed, tuna, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese, creamy miso aioli sauce and tempura crunch on top.(It tasted a little weird, but I was so excited to make my own roll I concocted something unique. lol!) I love picking what I want or don’t want that day. And the fun of it is, if it’s bad. It’s your own fault! :) The experience was great, the girls were nice, pointed out what I could do, ect. It’s a great concept. My one critique is I wish there were more options for meat and toppings!(Scallop, albacore, yellowtail. ect) But I’m sure it’s probably in the works since it’s a fairly new business. I will 100% be back due to their excellent customer service. For that alone, this is a business I’ll support! Thank you again Avi. I will be sure to spread the word!

I think I just got swindled by my first«company pays for good Unilocal reviews» scam. Or…its just people in this area have never had real Sushi. I’m not sure which one it is but either way… this sushi SUCKS. So bland, boring. Rice is not sticky likes its suppose to be. Just avoid this place, please.

My boyfriend and I live across the street and kept seeing this place when we drove by. We looked up the menu online and the prices looked great and food seemed to sound great so we went in. Our experience was not the best. We ordered an ahi salad, sushi, some rolls, soup … Everything tastes like spoiled fish. We actually returned most everything it was so gross. We weren’t gonna ask for our money back but they offered it back to us anyway which was very nice of them. We definitely will not be returning.

This place is quite tasty. I had a ‘create your own’ roll(seaweed, white rice, krabstik, jalapeño, cucumber, sweet chili sauce, and tempura crunch) and some spice edamame. Service was excellent. Food came out timely. There is still a portion of the menu that is labeled as coming soon. I will say that I’m slightly disappointed that they don’t have crawfish on the protein menu and they don’t have the waffle roll. Two things I have seen on the menu for some of the other locations. No sake, not sure if that’s going to be a thing or not. I know it’s difficult to get a permit out here for alcohol. Either way, the place is worth checking out. Located on the first floor of the muse building.

This must be a joke, that this place has 4 stars… Or, most likely, most of the reviews are paid. We stopped by at the evening during the weekend, and the place was EMPTY. Quality of seafood was terrible, it was mostly crab imitations and mayo, pieces of real fish were ridiculously small. I’m not sure how it stays in the business, considering it’s pretty large but had no customers inside. I usually feel sorry writing bad reviews for such places, but the quality of food was that low that I just can’t resist posting it. Owner, you need to change something…

My friend and I stopped in for a quick bite for lunch since we were in the area. We approached the order counter and froze as we stood there wondering if we should build our own rolls or salad or order from the menu. We loved the concept of building, but felt pressured to order from the menu. We thought maybe if we sat comfortably at our table and decided on our orders rather than sit at one of the comfy leather couches in front of the counter, we wouldn’t feel rushed or compelled to order from the regular menu. So there you have it, we both ordered the same exact dish, poke salad with salmon and tuna mix. We equally enjoyed the salad. Dressing was light, seaweed salad was not salty, and the salad was plentiful. I didn’t see much tuna in mine, but there were bits chopped up pieces of salmon sandwiched between the salad and rice. The rice at the bottom was fresh, and tasty. The edamame was plentiful. Two poke salad plus two drinks totaled $ 28 and change. Meter parking is along Vineland. $ 1/hour Overall, pretty good. Would return if ever in the area again.

I’ve been going to this place since it opened. Sushi is one of my go-to fast foods and they are always fast here. I quickly fell in love with the fresh menu and have never been disappointed with anything I’ve ordered. If you are an avocado lover, try their stuffed avocado! Also, building your own bowl is always my preference, so they accommodate that with the custom system they have going on. Try the Hoppin’ Hamachi-it’s my fav roll. Another plus is if you come in as often as I do, the friendly faces will remember your preferences. Definitely a sweet spot in the NoHoArts District.

This was my first time at this place. My friend had sent me a picture of a sushi burrito and I was obsessed with finding a place in LA that makes them. This was the place I found after searching online. My friend and I both got the make your own sushi burritos. It’s basically a giant sushi roll wrapped in a tortilla at this place. We both go the fresh salmon with different vegetables and sauces. I also got a free miso soup with the check-in from Unilocal. The miso soup was ok. It wasn’t great and could have been a little warmer. My friend and I were both pleasantly surprised by how good the sushi burritos were. They grill or heat the tortilla so its a little warm on the outside. As a result the fish gets slightly cooked by they time you make it to the bottom of the burrito. I wound up getting the teriyaki sauce which is great for dipping. My friend got the ponzu sauce which was a little difficult for dipping. The service was fantastic. There were not many people in the restaurant when we were there. The woman manning the register was so friendly, she refilled my water glass for me when I was about to get up to get more water. She also brought us out a complimentary desert roll. The desert roll is this amazing concoction of rice, fruit, and nutella. It is basically like heaven in your mouth. This place is worth it just for the desert roll. GETTHEDESERTROLL! Definitely hope to come back to the place in the future.

First off, 5 stars for cleanliness and super attentive staff. The lovely lady was very accommodating, was constantly checking on my friend and I asking if we wanted our water refilled and even offered us a complimentary fruitella roll dessert. How sweet of her right? So instead of opting with the standard sushi burrito off the menu, I decided to create my own burrito. I think this is the best way to order because you can pick your protein and veggies which comes freshly made rather than selecting the already pre-made standardized burrito. I went with raw spicy tuna, added asparagus, avocado, baby spinach, green onion, sprouts, pickled red onions, shelled edamame, with Ponzu and Krab Mix. The fish was fresh but I’m use to eating a sushi burrito wrapped with soy paper rather than toasted flour tortilla. This tortilla thing threw my palette off and I don’t think it was the best combination. The burrito does come out warm which is different because I’m used to it being cold. I think the burrito could have used a little more fish ratio compared to veggies. Overall, I thought it was just OKAY. It was nothing to rave about, especially for $ 10. I think the burrito was more on a 3 star level but because the combination of attentive staff and how spacious the venue was, I’d boosted it up a little bit. I would like to see the menu change by giving customers the option to replace the tortilla wrap with soy paper and giving the option to have the burrito stay cold or warm. Also, don’t forget to check in through Unilocal if you want that free Miso Soup!

5 stars for the sushi burritos! The sushi burrito at around $ 11 is a really decent price for the size and number of items you get. The burrito is unique as it actually utilizes a tortilla to hold the found instead of the Japanese rice paper that is usually used. I usually get the make your own burrito instead of the ones on the menu because they make these ones fresh– the ones on the menu is pre-made in the morning. I enjoy my burrito with salmon, and you can put unlimited toppings with your burrito! I enjoy cucumbers, cream cheese, pico de gallo, avocado, and crab mix with a sauce of spicy aioli. The burrito comes out nice and hot, and eating it is amazing– everything tastes so well together and it’s so fresh! The burritos are always very nicely wrapped(nothing ever falls out), and the different textures really complement each other well. Me and my friend were instantly hooked; we wanted to return the next day to get another burrito haha. The only downside is that because the burrito is so hot, the fish does cook itself a little bit, so by the time I get to the bottom, I have cooked salmon in my burrito. It is a nice change though. On the other hand, I would not recommend the rolls; I got the tropical salmon and it was just a philly roll with mango salsa on top. The roll is not made well, and it’s really whatever. Never getting those again. We also got a baked avocado with crab mix and smelt egg that was decent, but nothing special. Service is also fantastic; the lady went above and beyond in serving us by making sure we were doing alright and even bringing water to us when we drank all of ours. You order at the counter and get your food delivered at your table, so we definitely did not expect this service at this casual spot. I’ve even postmated their burritos to me, that’s how good it is. Can’t wait to return for lunch again! It’s basically a half mexican/half asian burrito, and we all know that hapas are awesome: D

I would give this place a 3 but the employees here are so awesome they earned this place an extra star! Jason in particular is awesome! He knew it was my first time visiting and explained everything and made great recommendations. He truly went above and beyond to make the customer experience excellent! As far as the food goes, unfortunately I can’t say it was awesome. :/My bowl was filled with rice and almost no fish! I basically ate white rice and as a meatatarian this is a big No no! I felt full after a few bites and would not personally recommend this place. For the same price you can have poke and actually see fresh pieces of fish, not just a bowl or rice. Anyway, it is what it is.

How do you write a review for a place you’re not sure if you liked? well I’ll just tell you the good and bad Good: –Miso soup free with Unilocal checkin ;-) and it was good very flavorful and perfect temp. –Many ways to do sushi but not really do sushi you can get it in a roll, in a bowl, in a salad, steamed bun and even a burrito — big spacious clean space and — friendly employees — speedy service — cheap everything is under $ 10.00 — seaweed salad side big portion for about $ 3.00 and comes with edamame Bad –the steamed buns are a bit stiff and cold — the spicy tuna is not fresh it looks like it’s been pre-scooped and it’s formed that dark color it gets from sitting too long. — the salmon in the buns is like canned salmon taste like tuna when i ordered it I thought it would be real salmon sliced and cooked ionto the buns I also thought it would be hot but it was literally a baby scoop of salmon(again just like tuna) –roll options are limited I wasn’t crazy about this place and I honestly don’t see myself going out of my way to eat here, Maybe I ordered the wrong things but if you eat here let me just suggest that you don’t get the steamed buns. Maybe a chicken bowl!

How Do You Roll? HmMm… the food is OK. My sister and I ordered a custom bowl, the yellowtail burrito, 3 alarm roll, and a fruitella roll for dessert. Everything came out good. The bowl and burrito were pretty bland. I should of ordered some extra sauces or ask for some. The 3 alarm roll was throughly appetizing with a nice kick. While the fruitella roll lacked some extra fruit. The upside to this place is that it was clean and presentable. But there were no downsides, for example: my sister was about to order when a phone call came in, they took that order first. All she said was excuse me. Secondly, I ordered a bowl and they put in roll. It was corrected with no up charge.

I was on my way to grab something at Ralph’s on my lunch break and saw that this had opened super close to work. Score! It’s new, neat, clean and the manager was really nice. It is definitely fast food sushi, on the level of Sansai or Hana Grill(which I love too). I ordered the tuna poke bowl with brown rice from their signature menu for $ 10. I LOVE poke so I have high standards. Things you should know 1. It was fresh! Hallelujah 2. It was delicious, the seasoning/sauce they used was great 3. It was mostly rice and seaweed salad. I counted maybe 12 pieces of small tuna. I am not hating on it, it was still really good and was enough for me for lunch but they really should put more poke in the poke bowl. I will try some rolls off the menu next time. Parking: meter parking mostly

This is a solid 3.5 spot but rounding down. First off, this location is pretty darn difficult to find parking in. Unilocal has it listed as «garage» but I couldn’t easily find it. Had to circle a bit to find metered parking. As for the food, I opted to make my own bowl with tuna, white rice, ponzu, avocado, jalapeño and krab mix. I couldn’t really tell if I had jalapeño and the krab mix was really weird. I may be used to the imitation crab you find in the majority of sushi places, but this was a level worse. I’m trying to put into words what it is like but I’m at a lost for words. It was this weird crab and mayo mixture that totally didnt jive with me. Also, I didn’t realize the bowl had a layer of greens below(I figured this was more like a poke bowl). Twas weird. The Alarm role was tasty though. The only complaint with that was that the portion size is pretty small. Definitely not enough to fill up most people. The staff are really friendly and the décor is really modern and cool. If i were to come back, I’d likely try something else like other rolls, the burrito, but the bowl will be a pass for me.

Finally they’re open! We are sushi lovers so I have been anticipating eating here since I saw the signage pop up some months ago. We didn’t decide to make our own as the Baked Salmon and Chicken Teriyaki roll sounded yummy. I also ordered the Hamachi Lettuce Cups. Food was good. I love the relaxing-café vibe they have going on. Free wifi, power outlets and comfy seating! The new«in between» work and home place!
