We took a little side trip off the highway to Coos Bay after seeing their road sign. They sell oysters by the pound, and shucked a few for Mr. B to taste. He said he has never tasted any fresher, sweeter, with the taste of the sea. You can buy them there, shucked or not, but you must find someone else to cook them. They are strictly a distributor. Their oysters are on the menu at Fisherman’s Grotto in Charleston.
