Lawyers Patrick R. Carlson and Josh Copeland opened the firm in early 2011 to provide focused, personalized representation for clients living in Oklahoma City, Norman, Moore, Midwest City, and the surrounding area. They focused the firm’s practice areas on chapter 7 bankruptcy, chapter 13 bankruptcy, estate law, wills and trusts, probate, tax return preparation, tax planning, business formation and business planning. Prior to opening Carlson & Copeland, PLLC, Patrick R. Carlson studied economics as an undergraduate student and earned his law degree at the University of Oklahoma. He also studied tax law at the University of Florida. Josh Copeland studied psychology as an undergraduate and earned his law degree at the University of Oklahoma.

Business Owner

Patrick Carlson’s legal experience includes taxation planning and compliance, estate planning, trust administration, probate, bankruptcy, and civil litigation. He attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law to earn his Juris Doctor degree. He also has a tax LL.M. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Prior to attending law school, he studied economics and German at the University of Oklahoma College of Arts and Sciences.

Patrick work with small businesses, individuals, trusts, and estates to help them minimize their income tax burden. He also works with individuals to create and implement an estate plan, will, or trust, that reflects a client’s wishes and values.
