Great food, service + price for a foodie like me. Authentic Venezuelan cuisine. I enjoy the the daily specials :-)

Delicioso!!! Best dining experience of my whole trip. Food was delicious, service was impeccable! Not a great looking place; but I’m headed back for dinner!!! I had steak with yucca(fried), salad, and carrot soup — yum!!! The pancha was a nice refreshing drink. And I have a strong cup to keep me awake at my desk — great meal!

This review is only for the Hallacas they made for the Christmas holiday. I’ve been going to this restaurant for the last five years and ordered a couple dozen of hallacas every year. Hallacas are similar to Mexican tamales but they are much larger, have more meat filling, and the seasoning is better(no offense to the Mexican tamales fans!). Natarica Grill’s hallacas are the real thing! They are well seasoned, with plenty of meat, and moist. We enjoyed them tonight for Christmas Eve and brought me back to wonderful memories of Venezuela.

Stopped by this place due to the fairly decent reviews and raving about how good the food was. However, never had a chance to try it. Service was down right rude. After waiting in line after a indecisive customer and employees being fairly busy preparing the order, the staff refused to acknowledge I was next in line. Kindly, I said hello and was ready to order whenever they were ready to which I received blank stares. When another customer walked up to the other side of the counter and began her order in Spanish, she was quickly helped and I was left there. Will not return due to this horrible service. The place did not look very clean any how. Tables were not cleared or wiped down and the cash register was caked with a mysterious brown substance. Might have saved my self a stomach ache…

I don’t know if it is authentic Venezuelan food but I do know that it is good food. I was looking for something different and ate there after reading the Unilocal reviews. I went back with 4 co-workers and we all enjoyed it. I had the Carne Patacon and Arepa Pabellon and really enjoyed the different flavors. The staff was very friendly and helpful, since we had no idea what to order, and the service was quick. Well worth stopping by.

Natarica is one of my go-tos for work lunch because it’s super quick, cheap, and in a central location. Someone else mentioned the sign being difficult to read… It totally is. The first time I went I missed it at first because I read«Katamoa», not Natarica. You can literally spend $ 6 dollars get full AND have leftovers. It’s good tasting food… and it’s amazingly cheap. Their lunch combos are almost too big for me, I starting getting arepas instead because their pollo asado is humongous. I recommend their soups. They’re different every day, have a very good homemade taste, are filling and cheap! For me, one small side soup and an arepa is a very good, filling lunch and the total comes out to about $ 5.50. The only thing I’ve eaten and don’t recommend is their patacon and side salad. The patacon has lettuce in it and this sauce that’s a strange mixture with hot meat and plantain. Side salad only because there’s never any variation in it and if you order regularly it gets boring quick.

Food taste amazing. I work nearby and I always stop here for lunch. Staff is friendly and service is excellent. I highly recommend. I usually get their rotisserie chicken with rice and beans.

So far the best venezuelan food in Atlanta(coming from soneone from Venezuela). The cachapas are very good, as well as the empanadas. Not a huge fan of their tequeno style but the taste is good. It’s a small place, not fancy but clean. Recommend to give it a try

We had a great time at Natarica with a rather large group of fellow food explorers. It’s a quaint little spot with a pretty stellar Venezuelan menu. Arepas, cachapas, plantains, yucca, and some of the best roasted chicken you can find. There is something about the way that Venezuelans, Peruvians, and other South American countries roast chicken. They turn it into pure magic. We had a great sampling of arepas and cachapas. My favorite was the jamon y queso cachapa by far. The exterior is made of such sweet corn that it feels like you’re eating solid creamed corn. It’s simply wonderful. Big plus for carrying Inca Cola! One of my favorites. It’s like liquid Bazooka Bubble Gum. The service was great, too. They worked really hard to prepare all of the food that was ordered pretty much all at once. The only problem that I saw was the delivery system. They had no way of really recording who had what, so it caused a bit of a cluster. I’d definitely return. Love those cachapas!

Natarica Grill is a Venezuelan restaurant in Norcross which specializes in traditional Venezuelan breakfast/lunch dishes and street foods. These include arepas(corncake sandwiches), cachapas(sweet corn pancakes), and empanadas(stuffed fried pastries). The food is authentic, tasty, and affordable. It’s made to order and served quick by a friendly staff. The restaurant is open only during the daytime, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm. It’s closed in the evenings and all day Sunday. The restaurant is located in the Centro Norcross shopping center on Buford Highway outside the perimeter(OTP). This strip mall is filled with many small to medium sized Hispanic businesses, including the restaurant Mr. Valdez(a.k.a. La Churreria). Natarica Grill is a casual eatery where you order at the counter. There’s an open kitchen, small pastry display case, and self-serve fridges filled with various Hispanic beverages such as Inca Kola. The menu shows about 10 different kinds of arepas. You can even customize your own. There are assorted cachapas and empanadas. You can get a Venezuelan breakfast with eggs, an arepa, shredded beef, cheese, and coffee. Also offered are soups, salads, sandwiches, and grilled steak(carne asada) and chicken(pollo asado). Most items are under $ 5 – 8 each. I’ve tried a sampling of Natarica’s menu and enjoyed every bit of it. This includes: Reina Pepiada Arepa — chicken salad arepa Pollo Mechado Arepa — shredded chicken arepa Queso de Mano Cachapa — cachapa filled with Venezuelan cheese Carne Empanada — beef empanada Tostones — fried green plantains Yuca — cassava root The Reina Pepiada is one of the restaurant’s most popular items. It’s an arepa stuffed with chicken salad and fresh slices of avocado. The shredded chicken in the Reina Pepiada is more tender and flavorful than the shredded chicken in the Pollo Mechado. Between the two, I suggest ordering the Reina Pepiada. At $ 3.59, it’s a satisfying little sandwich and a terrific value. The cachapas are simply delicious. The pancakes are made with sweet corn. The Queso de Mano Cachapa is made with Queso de Mano cheese, which is a soft, white cheese commonly used in Venezuelan cuisine. The cheese is what makes this dish. The fried pancake as a whole is sweet and succulent. One cachapa($ 5 – 7 depending on fillings) doesn’t look like much, but it’s actually quite filling. The empanadas are hot and hearty. The beef empanada($ 2.50) has shredded beef inside. Its texture is a little coarse, but the meat is moist and savory. I like the flaky breading of the pastry, which thankfully isn’t too greasy. The tostones and yuca are potato/fry-like sides. Tostones are plantains which have been sliced and deep-fried. Yuca is much the same way. I’d say both of these are harder and perhaps more dense than an American French fry and they have a lot more natural flavor. I think they are equally good and either easily suffices if you’re looking for a starchy side dish. Ask for any special beverages they might have. Their«Jugos Naturales»(natural juices) last weekend was passion fruit juice. A little watered down, but not bad. They have espresso and cappuccino too. Service is great. The folks here work hard and with a smile. Natarica Grill is certainly one of the highlights of the area. Go order and share some cachapas, arepas, and empanadas.

This place was hard to find. It’s tucked inside a giant shopping center on Buford Hwy. Just trust Google Maps, she will take you there. The sign was deceptive though. It looked like it said, «Natanca» because of the weird font they used. Natarica has a lot of stuff on their menu from grilled chicken to arepas. Natarica seems to be known for their Arepas. They have two kinds, the normal Arepa and the sweet corn kind(AKA cachapa). I tried both. For the normal arepa, I got the chicken salad arepa. For the Cachapa, I got the beef and cheese cachapa. The chicken salad arepa was a lot of food. I thought these would be tiny arepas. They actually stuff the heck out of the arepa. The filling tasted decent. The corn was decent. It was fine. I had no complaints. It wasn’t the most delicious thing in the world I ate. The Cachapa was sweet. It reminded me of McDonald’s McGriddles. The shredded beef was juicy. The cheese was spectacular. It looked like the finest mozzarella di bufala. I did like the soft texture of the cheese. It tasted good. Their sides were your standard, Latin American sides like Yucca and plantains. They taste like any other Yucca and plantains you can get elsewhere. I liked how they had South American sodas like Inca Cola. If you like exotic sodas, there a few you can try. I tried the Inca Cola. It had a nice, bubblegum-y taste. The ladies that worked there were sweet. I liked the family like atmosphere it had. I wasn’t too blown away by the food, but it’s a cool place to try if you’re up that area. I give it about 3.5 stars.

I finally made it to one of Daniel B’s UYE’s! 37th time is the charm! #Yelp10firsts Anyway, Jose had already ordered the combo #2 when we arrived, and it looked pretty good, even though I don’t like chicken when I’m pregnant. We perused the menu, and I knew from reading previous reviews that we had to get a cachapa. Seeing Vi’s arrive helped with that decision. So I finally stepped up to the counter to order: 1 ham and cheese cachapa($ 5.49) combo #2 — chicken(leg and thigh) with 3 sides — fries(crinkle cut), plantains, black beans($ 5.99) a cheese tequeno for the toddler($ 1.49) After taking my order, the server informed me that we’d pay at the end. So I walked over to the cooler and grabbed an Inca Kola, a Colombiana, and a bottle of water. Apparently, there are also juices you can order, but I missed that part of the menu. The cachapas came out first. Our ham and guayanes cheese cachapa was SO good. The flavors and textures of the grilled sweet corn cake, the salty soft cheese, and the processed ham blended so well. This will be what brings me back here in the future! The combo took a bit longer. The tequeno came out in the meantime, and it was nothing special. The toddler touched it, realized that it was too warm, and then wouldn’t touch it again. It wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t something that I’d spend $ 1.50 on the future. The combo was worth the wait. While the chicken looked simple, it was so flavorful and tender. The black beans, though served a little too cold, were a runny, but again, such good flavor, particularly when you dipped the french fries in. The crinkle cut fries had just enough salt and texture to compliment the chicken and beans. The plantains were spot on — sweet and firm. I thought the service was good, especially since they are not accustomed to such large groups. The server who was coordinating everything even took the time to walk around the table and make sure that everyone either had all of their order or confirmed what they needed. Even with the wait on the combo, we were out of there in an hour. The cachapa is definitely worth checking out!

I visited Natarica on a Unilocal UYE with my only expectation to have a good time with Unilocalers, but I also discovered a little gem of a dish in the cachapa. I ordered the cachapa with cheese and beef, and it was so good that I ate the entire thing, even though the portion size is pretty big(comparable to a large quesadilla). The corn tortilla of the cachapa reminded me of cornbread that’s been grilled. There is a lot of cheese, but it’s very light and not heavy on the stomach at all. The beef is shredded, flavorful and juicy(without being messy). Kristin B. shared sauces that can be added to the cachapa — one is spicy and one is not. If you’re not a fan of spice, pass on the spicy one because it’s a doozy. But I enjoyed the cachapa without the sauces because it tasted so good. I watched everyone else’s plates and the food looked delicious and fresh. I would love to visit again and try some other dishes. Even though there was a huge crowd of us, service was great. I was surprised and impressed at how well they handled us and how fast the food came out. And there were other customers as well, so it wasn’t just the Unilocalers they had to contend with. And it’s in a shopping center so there is lots and lots of parking. Yay!

Cachapa! Not only does the word itself just make me happy(just say it out loud, you’ll smile too), it’s a pretty delicious and generously sized sweet cornmeal patty studded with sweet, fresh corn kernels folded around an ample serving of barely melted, soft, white cheese. One cheese cachapa here at Natarica would have been a filling lunch on it’s own, but I also added a beef empanada, which is similarly huge and filled with at least six ounces of tender, moist but not fatty, shredded beef and then fried fresh to order. Topped with the fresh hot sauce(it’s the dark green one), this empanada made me loose the capacity to speak coherently, as I just«ooo-ed» and«ahh-ed» over the deliciousness. With the cachapa coming in at $ 4.99 and the empanada at $ 2.50, this was also a pretty cheap lunch and a great value for the food quality. I also sampled(well, stole from my neighbors) tastes of the tostones and friend yuca, confirming the fact that anything that comes out of the fryer here is pretty fantastic. The yuca in particular was incredibly tender, sweet, fluffy and fresh. I also tried a sip of the fresh passionfruit juice, which was sweet and unique, if a little watered down. You order at the counter(but don’t pay), grab your drink from the well stocked cooler, and take a seat, and wait for you food. You pay after you finish eating. Today we had a single server taking orders, delivering food to tables, refilling glasses, and taking payment. Even though we were a group of almost 20 people that took up over half their restaurant, she did a phenomenal job ensuring we all got our orders, and she kept a smile throughout. I don’t get out to Norcross that often, but this spot is worth the drive.

Good food with good prices and portions. Their lunch specials come with 3 sides and a drink! Their passion fruit juice is really good, and I would also recommend the grilled chicken(Apollo asado). The ladies here are really nice and if you don’t know what something is, they’ll either show you a fresh example or let you taste a sample if they have it available. The store itself is small, but generally clean for these types of places. Will most likely come back for lunch and recommend it to others as well. So far I’ve been here twice.

The food is super good! The arepas are a must, specially the Reina Pepiada! Tequeños and empanadas too! I’m not giving 5 stars because the place looks terrible, it looks abandoned and dirty; floors, tables and restrooms looks disgusting! Has refrigerators not working on a side of the location. It’s like they don’t care how the business looks! It’s dark and doesn’t smell good neither. They should close for a week and clean this place. I will love to bring some American friends to try their arepas, but I feel ashamed because how the location looks!

So yummy. Literal plate scrapping happened here. A couple friends and I met after work on a Friday evening to satisfy my cachapas craving and to let her taste what everyone had been raving about. We pulled into the parking lot with ample parking and made our way in.(The store is located next to a chiropractor if you’re like me and thought the N in their name looked like a K) Pretty basic no frills setting and there was only 5 others there. Lots of customers coming in and out with to-go orders. Between the 3 of us we had Chicken Cachapas, empanadas and arepas. Everyone was very pleased especially my gluten free friend! Service is very slow but friendly and once the food comes out hot and oh so tasty it’s makes the wait a little but easier. I know nothing about traditional Venezuelan cooking so I can’t compare it to my grandma or whatever but I know what makes my taste buds dance and this place does it every single time. I’m not the most adventurous eater but this place makes me want to branch out and get whatever the owners suggest.

It had been a couple of years, but you can still definitely fulfill your arepa cravings here at Natarica. Service is always friendly and patient. There were lots of regulars taking their time and enjoying some Venezuelan comfort food and a good cup of coffee. All of the arepas we had today were delicious. Highlights were, of course, the cheeses you really can’t get anywhere else(queso de mano and Guayanes). It’s a basic, barebones kind of place, but worth a visit when you can’t go another minute without a cachapa.

The tequenos that are on the showcase are no good, get the little ones and ask they fry a fresh set for you… cheese is a little MIA, but you can buy Queso de Mano to go here !(@14 a pack) Arepa con Carne Mechada was to die for, they took too long making my food so I had to drive and eat… a truck driver spotted me making love to my arepa and laughed, as he watched the melted cheese hang like a food bridge between my arepa and my mouth~
