SORRY, NOTAMALESTODAY! I noticed this little store as I was leaving Lillian Webb Park. I told my husband that we had to check it out because I was curious about their beans and rice and suspected that they would have a little restaurant inside. When we got inside, I decided that I did not want to get any food and instead set out to find the ever elusive Mango Jarritos. SCORE!!! This flavor of Jarritos is very difficult to find while the other flavors can easily be purchased at various locations. My husband wanted some tamales but was unable to get them because they are only available on the weekend,(I suspect that this is due to their being labor intensive). For its size, this store is well stocked with everything you need to make that special Mexican dish. The meat department has lots of options and the meat always looks fresh and ready to go. I would love to come back on an empty stomach so that I can try something from the taqueria,(on the weekend of course).

The taqueria inside the Guadalajara Supermarket consistently serves the best tacos in Norcross and the surrounding area. The meat is guaranteed fresh because it is sourced from the Guadalajara Carniceria about twenty feet across the supermarket from the taqueria. They even make their own quality chorizo, which is perfectly spiced and very meaty. Their tortillas, which they griddle to order, are the best anywhere, with a deep and flavorful corn taste and aroma, and enough body to hold the generous fillings while remaining tender. The sauces, which vary based on what fresh vegetables are available during the season, are handmade from family recipes and perfectly compliment the meat fillings, though the fillings are so flavorful and juicy you may decide to omit additional sauce. It surprises me that this little taqueria doesn’t try to cut costs by cutting corners the way many restaurants do these days; everything is top-quality, very fresh ingredients. And all this for between .99 and 1.29 each. I don’t use the term«love» lightly, but I absolutely love this little taqueria.
