After almost two years with the Mini Cooper I would buy from Russell at Pristine Autos again. The warranty thing accidentally worked out and he’s got some unique cars for sale. I love the car and it runs great. There was several things in the description that are not part of the actual car. The trunk cover is in the photos but not in the car. The Homelink is in the description but not on the car. I think it was just an over site. He’s a very nice man.

Oh. My. Gosh. After lusting after «my» BMW Z3 Roadster for about a decade in Arctic Blue, there it was. At Pristine Auto USA Nipomo. I was skeptical at first because the car, even though a 1997, was recorded at only 30K miles, and I’d never heard of Nipomo, CA before. This seemed too good to be true, but it wasn’t (YAY), and my husband’s and my experience only became better the second we met Russell.
We drove from LA to Russell’s property, and fell in love with everything. He truly finds rare and pristine automobiles, and is very thorough in showing you every nook and cranny a vehicle could have– he showed us how all the VIN’s were exactly the same, the vehicle had a full service history, no accidents, just lovely.
We took a super fun test drive, then when we were waiting for a phone call in regard to financing, he suggested we take «her out to grab a bite.» Awesome! I’ve never purchased a car before, and Russell made it SO easy and found us a very competitive rate for our financing. We drove it home that night.
I truly hope we have the ability to purchase again from Russell in the near future as there were some sexy Porsche models calling my name, and Russell is just a gem! MUST SEE THIS LOCATION– THESE CARS– AND ALWAYS WORK WITH RUSSELL!

Let me first start off by admitting that I am the worst online buyer EVER!!! I am the annoying guy who calls, emails, and snail mails a seller a million questions before I even consider putting any money on the line. Last year I fell in love with a Meteor Grey 911 Cabriolet Sport posted on Pristine Auto’s site. After reaching out to Russell and running him through my customary million questions (Can you send me HD close-​up pics of all the visible blemishes? How many owners? Where was it parked? on and on…) and demanding a costly upgrade (new shifter — $ 300) I made the executive decision to pull the trigger. Yes, it took a while to get the car from CA to NY (not Russell’s fault) but when the vehicle arrived, it was exactly as described… 1 month into ownership though, I noticed an annoying engine noise at acceleration. I took the 911 to Porsche of Manhattan who advised me that I needed a new drive-​train belt… uhg… as you can imagine, I called Russell immediately, gave him a piece of my mind, and demanded the issue be resolved. He assured me that all the belts were new and that I should get a second opinion… That was the last time I spoke to Russell. A week later, I got a second and 3^rd opinion only to find out that I was just a horrible stick shift driver; I was riding the clutch too long at acceleration. I was too embarrassed to reach out to Russell after our last conversation. Fast forward to today — Russell if you are reading this review, I sincerely apologize for second guessing you and being such an idiot to you after the way you treated me throughout the process (with class, professionalism, and respect). One year later, I couldn’t be happier with my 911 and hope that you and the Pristine team have many years of great business ahead of you. You’re a top-​notch guy and the quality of your vehicles are a reflection of your integrity. I searched the internet just today and still cannot find a deal better than the one I got from you a year ago. Thank you, sir. –NA

I have spent the past several years quietly looking for my next sports car (and driving my humble Honda Civic while saving $). I found an ideal 2006 Porsche 911 C2S serendipitously at Pristine Autos and have been pleasantly surprised by this dealership.
Russ and Elli were very helpful (I even interupted their lunch)… offering/​allowing a test drive, answering all of my questions well (Russ is passionate about Porsches), even offering to have the car placed on a lift for closer inspection (They have good relationships with other teams around them such as Porsche service people, paint and body people, smog teams, etc).
Our transaction /​my car purchase went better than expected. I came preapproved with a loan, but Russ was able to make a few phone calls and got me a much better interest rate and a better loan!
I’m glad this team is moving on to a better location.
I’m sad that I cannot afford to buy another car through them.

Russell is a class act he really does sell Pristine Automobiles and makes a great cup of tea!
He is always willing to go the extra mile for his clients.

If Russ has the car you like, buy it from him. He’s just the bomb.
I had been looking for a Mini Cooper S for months and by the time I found one at Pristine Autos I had been to a ridiculous number of car dealers — from big name new dealers to little privately-​owned used car dealerships. None of them made me more at ease than Russ.
It’s hard not to like a guy like Russ. He’s honest, he’s down to earth, he’s friendly, and he doesn’t try to run you around the block. There was never ANY pressure at all to buy a car from him, and he wanted to make sure I was well informed on everything about the car I was looking at. All of the cars in his garage looked flawless, and I was quite impressed with his shiny looking collection.
I’m afraid I definitely made Russ work for his money — multiple phone calls, 3 different visits, and a bit of a wait before I could actually buy the car. The entire time Russ was incredibly friendly, helpful, and made sure everything was as easy as possible for me on my end. And I can’t imagine a Mini Cooper being one of his more profitable cars… Needless to say, his customer service was impeccable.
A similar car would’ve cost me an additional $ 3000 – 4000 had I gone to the used section of a Mini or BMW dealership, and his customer service was way more than I could’ve asked for. I’ve been driving my Mini for about two months now and it’s still as clean as it was when it rolled off Russ’s lot.
Make no mistake, this is the man you want to buy your next car from.

My husband was looking for a used Jaguar and happened to find one advertised on the Internet at Pristine Autos. We called and spoke with the owner, Russell, and he told us about the car. We headed to Pasadena and took one look at the car and that was it. My husband said this is the one. He had always wanted a Jag since he was about 17 years old, but we could not afford a brand new one. This Jag was in mint condition-​so gorgeous.
After speaking with Russell and perusing his showroom, it was obvious that Russell prides himself on selling only «top of the line» used vehicles-​AND AT TREMENDOUS, AFFORDABLE prices. He had gorgeous Porsches, BMWs, and Mercedes. He even had another Jag which we almost bought as well because the price was unbelivably reasonable.
Russell hooked us up with his contact at a bank who gave us a very good interest rate. We were in and out of there within a couple of hours, driving home our beautiful Jag. My husband is so proud of this car! He’s afraid to drive it now for fear something will happen to it.
We highly recommend Pristine Autos USA as the place to purchase a top notch used vehicle at a very affordable price.

This is what a car buying experience should be. No pressure. British guy Russ was super nice. He sells rare used European cars and only picks «clean cars» to buy/​sell. One step in here and you can tell this is a guy who loves cars. Porsche posters on the wall and beautiful Porsches and BMWs in his showroom.
As for my experience, I had been looking for a wagon. Originally wanted a Subaru, but every one I found was a bad deal. My girlfriend bought an A4 and I liked the interior so I started looking for an Audi. Couldn’t find any in decent condition and on a whim went to check out an Avant Russ had listed. I was pretty skeptical after looking at his website, but he was near my office so I swung by. Man was I surprised to find a fully-​loaded, all wheel drive s-​line Avant. This thing had nearly every option. Russ got me a good rate on financing (I had planned to finance myself) and stayed late so I could take the car home. He even hooked me up with some German fluids I was having a hard time finding for a reasonable price.
This was a welcome change from my past car buying experience, and the car is GREAT. Good looking out Russ!
