I was desperate to have my kitchen counter tops replaced. I spent weeks looking for a contractor but all were either too busy or didn’t want to take on such a small job. I was referred to NSS and was able to get the quartz that I wanted. The entire installation took less than 3 weeks. The only negative was that I had to manage the project. They gave me referrals to sub-​contractors, but I had to coordinate it all — which was something that I personally didn’t want to do. NSS also did not contact me to advise me of demo and install dates. I continually had to call them to get updates. That being said, every employee that I interacted with was friendly and professional. All in all, the job was done in a very timely manner and on budget… and the counter tops are beautiful!

Beware. We went here for a price comp for our vanity top, the «manager» from start to finish wasn’t exactly helpful, he was ok but just there. He really didn’t seem to care if we were there or not, and we were the only ones at the time. He acted a bit put off when I asked for a written estimate, and only printed it out after I asked a second time. After we declined wanting to buy one of their sinks, he suddenly blurts out «we have a $ 800 per job minimum», and unless we buy the sink we are under the minimum. Oh please, really?! That was it for us, NOT worth the hassle. If they act this uninterested in general service with a new customer, then I would really fear moving forward with the important stuff of a proper install. If you really know what your doing, they might be fine, otherwise we would def not recommend. We are really fed up with shopping «local» meaning give us your money, wait, and expect nothing.

We were pleased with the whole process from sales to the installation.

Great Experience and Results…
We recently remodeled a vacation rental condo at Blacklake in Nipomo, and we shopped around at several tile/​granite places before deciding on NSS. From the very beginning, Mike (showroom manager/​sales) was helpful and straightforward re: what they could do and what it would cost. He asked good questions and made many helpful suggestions. We found some gorgeous granite there at a very good price, as well as the tile to go with it. (This job included tile for 3 bathroom floors, 2 new tile showers, backsplashes, and a fireplace wall, plus granite for 4 bath vanities, a breakfast bar, and several kitchen countertops.)
We agreed on a schedule upfront for the demo (old tile, countertops/​vanities, etc.), new granite/​tile install, etc., and their follow-​through was excellent for the entire project. Always showed up when they said they would, and always did what they were supposed to.
Aside from the beautiful work they did, one of my favorite things about working with these guys is that they were always careful and respectful with my property (unlike other tile people I have worked with in the past): they didn’t mess up the rest of my place and always cleaned up after themselves every day.
The team that templated and installed the granite did a great job, and the tile guys (Cesar and Luis) were amazing. The work they did on my showers, bathroom floors, backsplashes, and fireplace wall is gorgeous… artistic, really.
When a few unexpected issues came up (and they always do with a remodel), Mike, Cesar, and Luis always came up with creative solutions that solved the problem.
Remodels are always stressful, and some trades have to be closely supervised to ensure things don’t go horribly wrong. We had great confidence in the team from NSS, knowing that they would be doing what we needed, without us checking up on them all the time.
We are really, really pleased with how the granite and tile work came out, and we very much appreciate the professionalism shown by the whole team at NSS. We would use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone!

The people were very friendly and helpful with all my granite and tile needs. Got everything templated, fabricated, and installed within two weeks! Definitely going to recommend this place to family and friends in the future.

Zero customer service. Sales team is nice and relaxed at first, but when it comes down to following up on a simple tile order there is no personal integrity. Not only with the salesman I dealt with, but when he was out even the people answering the phone were complacent and passing the buck. Blaming Dal Tile for the errors and that their rep wasn’t calling them back (then call the rep’s boss on my behalf, but no that step was not taken). No floor tile, means the range couldn’t be installed, so no cooking for another week or two. No one fought for us with the supplier when things went wrong. We were lied to as well. This is only floor tile. It shouldn’t be that difficult. We had to be the ones to keep following up. It took three shipments before the order was finally right, and still no concessions, no discount for our trouble. Not even a delivery offered. In business and in life things happen, it is just disappointing when people don’t own up to it and try their best to make it right. Don’t waste your time here.

Very disappointed. They gave me a great quote (and I really shopped around!), the sales person was patient and professional — didn’t try to upsell anything, was there for us when we needed her and stayed back when we were making a decision. I really liked that. Templating was done promptly too. Installation moved up a day, which was a pleasant surprise. Installers worked very hard to do a nice install over my cabinets that turned out to be not as leveled as necessary for a smooth install. That’s where the good stuff stops. I discovered chips in my granite surface, which are normal to any natural stone but are usually filled with a matching epoxy. Mine were large chips and weren’t filled, so they stood out to a naked eye. My undermounted sink cutout doesn’t match the sink. Like, at all! Normally client gets to choose the reveal they want — flush, negative or positive reveal. First of all, I wasn’t asked which one I wanted and I forgot to ask them. But I hoped they would at least pick a reveal and stick with it. Instead, I have positive reveal in the front, negative in the back, flush on the right and negative in the left. The the left corner of the granite cutout overhangs majorly (like 9 mm!) over the sink. As if the sink doesn’t belong in the cutout… Their reason was that «sometime sink template isn’t accurate» But I didn’t just give them the template — I gave them the entire sink 3 weeks prior to fabrication. They also glued it under the countertop in their warehouse — didn’t they see that their cutout didn’t line up with the sink? Caulking job around the rim is uneven — some part are caulked, some aren’t. Also, I did get a sealant job. But the sealant is supposed to be put over a granite that has been cleaned or at least wiped from dust. Mine wasn’t. My granite was all dusty in places with random chips from the faucet drilling. And yet somehow it got sealed. In places! I don’t know exactly how that’s possible (didn’t see myself) but my granite is sealed (water beads up) in some places and in other places it soaks up water and gets dark.
But they called me like 5 times in 3 hours to make sure I pay the balance of the invoice, though! I paid. Now I am wondering if I should have waited… Because before I paid the balance, the sales lady promised that a guy would come today in the morning to fill in the cracks. I took the morning off work. Guy didn’t come. I called at noon. I am now promised that he’ll be here tomorrow. Now, I will update this rating all the way to 5, if deserved, if the Company ends up honoring their contract and fixes the big defects. If you are still seeing one star — than I would recommend you shop for granite jobs elsewhere.
UPDATE: Ok, so they guys came out as promised and fixed everything on my list. I am a happy customer. Will go back to them for my bathrooms vanities. Upgraded this rating to 4 stars. They could have had 5 if they did it the first time around!

Great customer service along with a great selection of granite slabs, prefabs, and tiles at great prices. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Me and my husband could not be happier with the result of our beautiful kitchen countertop.
