i have bought a number of pieces from barry in the last 3 years – most have been custom pieces and i continue to go back because of his workmanship, customer service and quality for the dollar. you will not find a better overall experience in any chain. the chains are only interested in their commissions – barry is the owner and he is in it for the long-haul. just go in and you will see what i am talking about.

I have been a customer of Landmark Jewelers for about 18 years, from their old location on Dempster Street to their current location on Milwaukee Ave. Barry has been the owner during that full time span and has always been the person I’ve interacted with during all of our visits. I was initially drawn to Landmark through a promotion they were having but ended up being a repeat customer because of the excellent personal service, the high quality diamonds and gemstones, the unique and creative designs, and finally the very reasonable prices. I’ve bought engagement rings, wedding bands, pendants, and earrings through Barry and have even had him custom design some jewelry for me. Every time I’ve come away with something unique and one-of-a-kind, something you’re not likely to get at a place like Tiffany’s or other chain jeweler, in my opinion. I’ve also referred many of my friends and relatives to Landmark, and they’ve always been very pleased with the service and quality they’ve received. I estimate I’ve personally spent well over $ 20,000 over the years with Landmark, they are always my one and only stop for jewelry. The last creation Barry did for us was a pair of diamond earrings for my wife. My mother-in-law had recently passed away, so my wife inherited her mother’s solitaire diamond from her engagement ring, a high quality, near flawless stone. This was obviously a very emotional time for us, but it was important to my wife to have this important stone immortalized in a new piece. We decided to have Barry turn it into a set of earrings, so obviously we needed a matching stone to create the set. Over several visits, Barry patiently walked us through many different options, from different settings to different matching stones. His sensitivity and personal attention made us feel good about what we were getting. And honestly what surprised me the most was that it was much less expensive than I had anticipated. The final product turned out absolutely gorgeous as expected, my wife was in tears when she put them on for the first time. Regarding the one star review that’s here from 6÷17÷2011, I have a hard time believing that this reviewer ever actually stepped foot into Landmark. Anyone that knows Barry or his wife know that the review does not describe or even come close to any experience that they would have had at Landmark. I’m not really sure why you would come to a jeweler to sell anything anyway, to me the most important criteria for evaluating a jeweler is the quality of the jewelry they sell, the value that they offer, and the personal service that they give. To me, Landmark hits on all fronts which is why I fully intend to continue bringing all of my jewelry business to them.

I’ve been dealing with Barry at Landmark Jewelers since they opened in 1992. Landmark has always offered incredible custom pieces at competitive prices. If you are looking for common jewelery, you won’t find it at Landmark. If you are looking for something that is one of a kind, it is the place to go. Landmark has been a trusted jeweler for my family for nearly 20 years. From new purchases, to appraisals, or repairs on items that weren’t even purchased from them, Landmark is the place to go!

Wow. This place is suck a scam. I brought in a pair of rings, each with a half carat diamond, VVS clarity, E color for estimate. The sales associates took the two rings to their magnifier, and determined that they were genuine diamonds, and offered to buy them for me. I actually wasn’t wanting to sell them — just wanted an estimate. But out of curiosity, I asked how much I could get for both. The sales associate said, $ 1.00 for every diamond point. In other words, .50 point diamond = $ 50.00. With two rings, $ 100 total. I asked them about the gold weight from the ring/shank, and they said, it’s considered scrap, so they won’t give me a value for it. Wow. Just wow. No value for the gold? Plus, $ 1.00 per diamond point? Are you kidding me? They’re both solitaires!!! I bought them as investments. Now they’re offering me $ 100 for both. I had them quoted at least $ 1,250 each at another place, at a total of $ 2,500 for both. That’s 25 times HIGHER than what Landmark Jewelers offers! I left as fast as I could from this place vowing to never return.
