European Delights offers a delicious array of European breakfast pastries, cookies, cakes, & specialty desserts. We love bringing a taste of Europe to the Lexington area!
We live in Cincinnati, Ohio and purchased a praline cake without any knowledge about this bakery. ITWASFABULOUS! !! The service was excellent, the bakery was spotless and the cake was definitely worth the drive(we were already in Lexington but I already have another cake on order).

This is the real deal gourmet dessert bakery. The cakes look so beautiful and they taste even better. Not to mention they have a very good cup of coffee. I thought my mom made the best cakes but I was wrong.

Love the cannolis. Close to what you can get in the Italian Market in Philly. This place is not easily seen from the street but well worth traveling through Brannon Crossing. It’s down on the left near Capelli Salon. Their coffee is amazing too! Haven’t bought any large bakery items from them but their prices are reasonable. Small seating area is perfect for a relaxing break from the craziness on Nicholasville Road.

Wow have been here twice the pastries are to die for, everything is so delicious from scones to Danish you really cannot go wrong if I lived here I would never return to Panera everything at Panera was overcooked, stale, and just plain dried out and OLD! Now we bought our pastries at European delights Friday night to enjoy with our coffee on Saturday compared to Panera the panera pastries could have been 2 days old! if you have not tried European delights give them a try!

Located in Brannon Crossing, this bakery is home to the best scones in town. Their cakes are delicious and beautiful! Everything is very clean and the presentation is impeccable! Coffee selection is pretty good too.

We haven’t tried everything here yet, but our first visit was pretty good. This bakery is tucked away in the Brannon Crossing strip mall and at first glance the place seems like they don’t have much business so I was hesitant to try this place. Nonetheless as one of the few cake & dessert bakeries in town my husband and I had to try it out and we were pleasantly surprised! First, the place is fairly big. They have nice leather chairs on one side and tables for dinging-in on the other, free wifi, and subtle classical music in the background. Now onto the best part. We dined in with their tiramisu, fruit tart, and éclair and took home a ham-cream cheese croissant, chocolate croissant, and a slice of their peanut butter cake. The TIRAMISU was decent. It was not as moist and flavorful as I like it. The cake was not too sweet, which I really like, but it BARELY had any coffee or wine flavor to it. The FRUITTART was delicious! The combination of the tart raspberry, strawberries, & kiwi, absolutely exquisite light, creamy pastry cream, and the not-too-thick crust was wonderful. I think there was a thin layer of chocolate under the pastry cream as well, but I can’t really remember considering how quickly we killed the fruit tart. Unfortunately their ECLAIR was probably the worst éclair I’ve ever had. Éclair is normally one of my favorite desserts but theirs had a thick layer of waxy chocolate that did not taste good. The chocolate didn’t even taste like chocolate. The CROISSANTS that we took home were good. The ham, cream cheese filling was not good. The filling was literally a blob of cream cheese rolled in a piece of ham. We toasted the croissant hoping to heat the filling and it didn’t really help. The chocolate croissant was good minus the fact that all the chocolate filling was a cilyndrical roll on one side of the croissant. It would’ve been better if the chocolate filling was flatter and more spread out so that ever bite had a bit of chocolate in it. Aside from my complaints with their croissant fillings, the actual croissant pastry(which is actually the most important part) were really good. Nice crispy outer layer with lots of buttery soft inner layers of pastry. Next time i’ll probably just get a plain croissant. Last but not least their peanut butter cake was AMAZING! This cake had super moist layers of sponge cake and peanut butter mouse type frosting. It was light, moist, not too sweet, and peanut buttery all in one. So good. This cake was on their monthly specials menu so we’ll have to come back and see what other specials they have. Not the best desserts we’ve ever had, but it’s probably one of the best you’ll find in this area. We were both pleasantly surprised and unsatisfied with the things that we got. so we’ll definitely be back to try out the other pastries that they make!

Located in a generic strip mall, this place has nothing generic about it. Owned and run by a family, European Delights serves freshly baked goods in the heart of the Bluegrass and offers a small café-style seating area. My first introduction to this place was actually a box I received for my birthday, filled with a selection of goods from here. They were so good that I had to go to this store and have a taste of few more things. As someone who doesn’t like the sugar-based icing, their cream-based icing/filling perfectly suits my palate. Their cakes are light and airy, filled with fluffy creamy fillings, topped with fresh fruits or nuts. They also serve classic pastries such as danish-style pastries as well as croissants and eclairs. I know I can sit in front of their display case the whole day and enjoy the sight of all these things I would love to try. It’s totally worth it!
