History
Established in 2011.
Owners Rick and Katie Reiss reopened Bellacino’s Pizza and Grinders in October of 2011. Rick and Katie co-manage the restaurant and at least one of them is onsite daily. Bellacino’s is a franchise that was founded by the Mancino family, and the food is similar to the founders other restaurant chain known as «Mancinos». Bellacino’s is located at Brannon Crossing in Nicholasville, Kentucky and is the only Bellacino’s in the state of Kentucky.
Bellacino’s signature menu item is the «Grinder». A grinder starts with Italian bread which is made fresh daily. Next, meat, cheese and other ingredients are placed, and the grinder goes into an oven at 490 degrees for 4 minutes. The grinder is «baked», and is simply the best sandwich on the planet.
Bellacino’s is also known for world class Pizza offered with a traditional thin, or a thick Sicilian crust. Many customers have a difficult time deciding between a grinder or pizza, and often simply get one of each to solve the question.

Business Owner
Rick a former lawyer, and Katie a former school teacher traded he fast paced life in southern California for the beautiful and slower paced lifestyle of central Kentucky. Opening a restaurant has been a challenge, but a fun experience. Either Rick or Katie is generally on site every day, and the restaurant runs with the help of an experienced crew and assistant managers.
