Ziering Medical

Dr. Ziering was very nice but I was very unhappy with the lack of follow up from the office. I was very unhappy and the office knew it and should have tried to fix this situation. My case might be more rare but the hair transplant caused my existing hair to fall out. the implanted hair was very unnatural and stuck straight out. Worst decision of my life.
I feel like I should go on the show botched and get it fixed:-(
I’m sure he’s great at hair transplants but wouldn’t trust with brows!

I am physician and surgeon and rarely am I in a position of evaluating a fellow physician from the perspective of a patient. However from the initial consultation to the actual surgical procedure, I was extremely comforted by Dr. Ziering and his staffs’ courteousness and professionalism. They are true experts in the business of patent care and even I will be incorporating some of their humanism and compassion into my own practice. I have to congratulate Dr. Ziering and his great staff for the compassion and superior surgical care extended to me.

Do not go here he will just lie and steal your money. I had a ht back in 07 and had to laser my hairs off because this useless dr created a hairline that was too low. I went to dr dauer and he is way better. Please be warn he is not a good dr.

Just left my husbands follow up after almost two years (yes, they still care about patients after two years) and Raymond and Dr. Verona are a class act. They took the time to go through all of the photos and took new photos and explain all the new hair growth etc. They did just under 3600 grafts and my husband has such a full head of hair, that is all even, and very healthy. This group is very friendly, and they genuinely care about you as a person. Would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for first class service, with friendly people!

This place deserves each and every star. Often times people are so quick to write a bad review, but won’t take the time to write a positive review. I went to the Newport Beach office, and the customer service is excellent, from the nurses and reception staff, to Raymond and Dr Varona himself. They make you feel very comfortable with forming a life long partnership. I am a firm believer in the concept of «you get what you pay for» and so far it has been worth ever penny. My procedure was a week ago, and I am super excited to see the final result! They truly do care about the needs of a patient and the results. I could not be happier with the way I was treated. I was referred there myself, and will refer anyone who is looking to restore their hair. I could go on and on with positive remarks. Thanks again!

I had my first procedure in 2008 after years of trying to accept the fact that my forehead apparently started at my ears. Every male in my family is more or less bald by the time they hit 40. On the recommendation of the husband of a friend, I chose to have my first restoration procedure at a nearby facility in Newport Beach. After having been told by several surgeons that it would be a waste of my time and money (due to the family history of balding), I jumped at the first surgeon who said they would do it. I did no research on this surgeon or this facility. This was definitely my error. When the initial excitement of new hair wore off, I realized I had basically a row of hair for a hairline and very little behind to help it look natural. To make matters worse, the new transplants were done in a manner that left me with large plugs that looked like the typical «doll hair». On recheck, the surgeons recommendations were to do «a few» more surgeries and until then, grow my hair out so I could have a comb over effect. None of those were appealing.
Fast forward to 2013. Yes, for 5 years I thought it was hopeless and that with a quick glance, everyone would know that I had had restoration surgery. That is the last thing any of us would want. This time I did months of research which let me to Ziering Medical in Newport Beach. From the initial visit, everyone was professional, supportive and very easy to talk to. Ray and Dr. Varona listened to my story, never said a bad word about my previous surgery or surgeon, and clearly outlined their plan and what I could reasonably expect. I was just hoping to hide the doll hair look. They let me know they could do that, in addition to creating a much more natural look. The surgery day was a breeze. All the employees were very kind and concerned with my comfort. They were very flexible to accommodate my difficult schedule and made someone available on the weekend to help with my post op care.
Over a year later, I am so thankful for everything Ray, Dr. Varona and the staff have done for me. I know have a very natural looking hairline and thicker hair at my previous balding areas. I am far from being vain, but I now look in the mirror and no longer cringe at what is going on with my hair. I now have styling options, other than the dreaded comb over! I couldn’t be happier and I couldn’t recommend Ziering Medical enough. You won’t be disappointed.

To start off, I m going to go ahead and say that the sole purpose I originally went with Ziering medical was because of my experiences with the people of the company. My first meeting with Raymond (for my free consultation) was so different than any other consult I had had with other companies. Other sales reps try make you feel like you are a simple nobody who this giant organization they work for doesn’t care about. They make you feel like if you don’t go with them for the surgery, they could care less because they have a bunch of other people that they can easily fill your spot with. But honestly, that is the worst feeling in the world, you’re a pawn in their giant game and the results will show that they don’t care for you. But Raymond, complete opposite! I can easily say I left that appointment having made a friend who cares to see me succeed in my journey to restore my hair and just in life in general as well. Simply put, I was sold from the beginning because of the kindness of the staff and Dr. Varona followed through with an amazing surgery with amazing results.
I originally found out about Ziering Medical from an article about celebrity hair restorations online. When I visited their website I was amazed at the new technology they were using that Bosley and Hair Club hadn’t even implemented yet! The new FUE hair transplant method made the decision to go with Ziering a no-​brainer. The final touches on my decision came when I made an appointment to have a free consultation with a Ziering representative, Raymond, up in Northern California. He was so accommodating and made me feel like I was being personally taken care of by every person on staff and that each and every one of them wanted to see me succeed and be happy. Not to mention the incredible price! They were offering at least $ 5 per graft less than the Bosley/​Hair Club monopoly, and not to mention that was for the newer method of the surgery! I had the surgery done in the Newport Beach office with Dr. Varona (which was not a problem because I stayed with family when I came down to Newport but they were willing to accommodate if I needed a hotel as well) and I can honestly say he is a pure artist when it comes to the hair line and the transplant procedure. When Dr. Varona drew on the hair line he felt he could ideally give me, I was blown away by how natural and far down it was. The surgery was a piece of cake, and every single staff member was so nice and made me feel comfortable and helped the day go by super easy (there were 12 staff members there all to help me, I felt like royalty honestly), plus recovery was not painful or annoying in the least, especially since I got the new method of the surgery that didn’t require having a scar!
I am almost a year removed from my surgery (btw, I am only 21) and the results have been beyond exceptional. This is hands down the best thing I have done for myself. My hair is super thick and coming out nicely! I get compliments daily from people who haven’t seen me in a while! They wonder how it was even possible because it looks so natural and they would have never guessed, and I tell them only because of my amazing doctor and team of assistants.
So all those reviews that say that Ziering medical is a giant corporation that is solely in it for the money and doesn’t care about their patients are simply wrong! If you want my opinion, I am sure the Beverly Hills office is just as nice and caring, but if you want the definite take it from me advice, call Ziering medical, make an appointment, go out to Newport Beach and have Dr. Varona make your hair beautiful, and make a friend in Raymond. Simple as that

I went to Dr. Ziering based on a recommendation and he was incredible.
So incredible that even when I was leaving my free consultation, a stranger in the lobby stopped me to say, «I had the procedure done here years ago, and know two other people who have come to him seeking a hair transplant. The results are amazing.» Indeed, I could see, the man stranger had excellent hair.
I was nervous as most people are with any sort of surgery, but Dr. Zeiring and his staff were so professional. They ensured that I was comfortable the whole time. Some of the details of any form of cosmetic surgery can be gory, but with him it was completely painless. The only thing I felt during the procedure itself was them administering the local anesthetic (which is common with this procedure). After they did that the whole time I felt absolutely no pain. Once they removed the donor strip (which most people say is the most awkward part), I knew I could be comfortable handling anything they were going to do with my head the whole day — simple because it was so incredibly painless.
The whole staff was warm and friendly. They allowed me to bring in some DVDs to watch while I the procedure was going on.
Dr. Ziering is the best there is.
Before going there I’d checked out Bosley over the years, and they tend to really encourage you to go get multiple procedures (they want the repeat business). While Dr. Ziering can typically do multiple procedures, he allowed allows you do more than Bosley. Because of Bosley’s (repeat business) model, they were trying to get me to do half the amount of grafts that Dr. Ziering was willing to recommend.
Honestly I had this done about a week ago — so I haven’t seen the full results yet. But the new grafts have all stayed in my head and seem to be firmly planted in there. I’ve been careful to follow their instructions completely and when the new hair starts to regrow I’m confident it will be completely successful.

I had a procedure done about 2 and a half months ago in Newport Beach. I was a little hesitant at first, but Kipo put me at ease after our consultation in San Francisco this last Spring. He was right about everything. My experience was great! The work took about 8 hours. I couldn’t have asked for better staff. Dr. Verona was very meticulous, artistic and patient. He is a very down to earth guy. Everything went very smooth. I did all that they told me to do post op and I healed just fine. Lots of new hairs are now starting to sprout. My new hairline is forming and I couldn’t be happier. I now only wish I had done this years ago.

I have been getting hair restoration procedures since I was 28 years old and I am now 52. I have been to 3 different medical groups the first two who are well established and do good work. My experiences were successful and fulfilling. It wasn’t until I met Craig Ziering, D. O. of Ziering Medical that I discovered hair restoration artistry. I have had several procedures including hairline, temples and crown and without question Dr. Ziering’s work is a 12 on a scale of 1 – 10. His staff is very talented and Kaipo in the Newport office is great. When I first met Dr. Ziering I had donor scar performed by another surgeon that needed a little «tweaking» and Dr. Ziering worked his magic on this too. Regarding economics, he is worth every penny! If you are looking for hair restoration that is artistic, undetectable and magical Ziering Medical is the place to choose.

My apprehension about the FUE procedure was quickly calmed by everyone’s cordial, empathic manner during the procedure. From Dr. Yates on through all the staff that assisted, I really think I was in the best possible hands (both literally and figuratively). Post-​procedure has been great, lots of help and encouragement. No problems or complications at all. Now I just need to be patient and let those puppies grow!

I spent $ 6500 and it looks as if nothing was done. Go at your own risk. This Dr is slightly less expensive, there is a reason, he’s not as good as the other more experianced surgens.

This place is professional and worth every thing. Dr. Ziering is great and the staff is even better.
