Orange Coast Oncology Hematology & Keck Medicine of USC

Read my entire review and I will keep you up to date.
So far so good, we visited the smaller older office. The two girls were nice but very stern, they seem to have a lot going on. The lobby was very full, lots of people waiting to be called. We only had to wait 20 minutes or so and then we went up. By the way, you wait downstairs and the you ride the elevator up stairs. The staff on the 2^nd floor was really nice and everything was nice and clean pretty modern. I have been all over the state visiting several oncology offices and this place looks OK to me. I will let you know how it goes, we meet the Doctor in a few minutes.

My experience at OCOH (Orange Coast Oncology Hematology joins Keck Medicine of USC) was primarily for care of a DVT in my leg which can be fatal if not closely monitored. OCOH two office locations, one large and one much smaller, both of which are very clean, updated, & nice. I opted to visit the smaller location more frequently as it was less chaotic. Both locations were extremely busy with a waiting period (with appointment) of at least 45 minutes every time. The front desk receptionists at the smaller location were consistently rude to patients, including oncology patients during a simple check in. I visited two of the doctors on different occasions for a total of about 10 different visits. Both doctors spent about 10 minutes with me each appointment & I received no useful information from it anytime. Each visit I could also tell the Doctor’s didn’t even remember me or my case/​situation which doesn’t feel good as a patient. I am fortunate enough to be young and have the ability to find better care elsewhere but for the elderly that don’t have the help or resources to find better care so they don’t have to wait hours for their appointment and deal with rude staff and Doctors quick to move to the next patient, I recommend looking into any other medical group to get the attention they deserve for something so critical as hematology & oncology.
