I absolutely dread eye exams. So, I invited a friend to get an eye exam with me. It was so easy ! First, I was able to book our appointments on line for an hour later.
I was graciously welcomed and my eye appointment with Dr Sammy was actually fun. For me, the best part was they didn’t have to dilate my eyes. They have state of the art equipment that takes high– tech pictures of your eyes with no pain.
Both my friend and I can’t say enough about Dr. Sammy, she’s so professional and thorough. Plus, she’s down to earth and happy to answer any questions.
Of course, I was a bit worried that the Newport Beach branch would be expensive but it was very reasonable. They used my AAA discount and the eye exam was very reasonable
But the best part is I’m writing my review wearing my new glasses which was ready in an hour !!

This place is AWFUL! Customer service is the worst, unknowledgeable, unreliable. This is the second time I have tried to order contacts. The first time I ordered, not only it was late but it was sent to the wrong address so it was REALLY late — like almost took 3 ½ weeks. On top of that it was -.25 off of my prescription, so all of that waiting and it was the wrong prescription! Need I mention this was the same place I got ripped for a wayyy overpriced eye test just days before as well? Now being the unforgiving person I am (stupid) I once again am two weeks in, waiting for my contacts, and they are supposed to be shipped to the store (not even my house!) and they have no idea where they are.
Bottom line — this place SUCKS.

This organization is one of the most expensive brands for the level of quality service you receive. The staff is friendly yet inexperienced and lack the knowledge to truly deliver a 100% customer satisfaction experience. They are running an eyeglass mill cash cow call center of the vision centers world. My experience included waiting for a pair of eyeglass frames for three times the time quoted and then I Wasn’t told it would distort my image orientation. Not only one prescription but then a second round of a vision recheck and changing the lenses out just to find out the frame wasn’t meant for corrective lenses. The good news is they do have a refund policy which I exercised twice. I would recommend seeking services elsewhere for your prescription and then shopping online for frames and lenses to save 75% of the cost. Buyer beware!

Dr. Vivian Morris solved my problem. My opthomologist — after having his in house optometrist examine me and write the rx –referred me to his own, attached optometry shop. The prescription was obviously wrong and the glasses didn’t fit. I couldn’t see jack. So I went to LensCrafters and saw Dr Morris. She was fantastic and spent a lot of time with me getting my prescription right (I have diplopia) and the glasses are perfect. I can see again! Worth every penny as far as I’m concerned.

I have Scan Healthcare and was referred to LensCrafters by them. I also checked my benefits prior to my appointment. I knew that the frames were covered at $ 105, exam $ 35 and lenses $ 35 so when I went to check out there was a $ 40 MATERIALS CHARGE. I asked what it was for and he said materials. I thought, what materials, I’m already paying for frames and lenses? He said «materials, see» and pointed to the line item on his computer screen! I laughed as though that would justify paying the erroneous charge. I said I see that you are billing me but for WHAT??? After going round and round I finally said ok, I’m going to just give my insurance a call to confirm and before I had my phone out of my purse he had «adjusted» the charge off my bill. I’m not concerned about $ 40 but hate being ripped off! I walked out of there with a total charge of $ 128 for the exam and glasses. I don’t care about designer frames so I went for the ones under $ 150. You can get a deal just don’t let them «sell you».

Last May (2015) I had a bad prescription from my former Optometrist which I didn’t realize until having new glasses made at Optical Shop of Aspen. Went back to former Optometrist, got the run-​a-​round, so went back to OSA in tears and they recommended LensCrafters which was just across courtyard in Fashion Island. OMG… night and day «great» experience from former (nameless) Optometrist! I was lucky enough to see Dr. Sammy Hashesmian and she put me completely at ease… can’t say enough great things about her. She spent a lot of time with me… I have a challenging prescription. I was also impressed with state of the art equipment and efficient (and clean) operation! I also couldn’t believe how reasonable the cost of a complete eye exam is here. I did not have glasses made here as I had just purchased new frames from Optical Shop of Aspen… was nice to be able to walk back to OSA with a correct prescription to have glasses remade.
Two weeks ago I went back to have eyes rechecked due to vision fluctuations. Again, Dr. Sammy Hashesmian was wonderful to work with. Was very surprised this visit was considered a follow-​up recheck at no-​charge. Two thumbs up & 5 stars!

I’ve been a good customer for at least 3 year. My recent visit to the eye doctor was very sad. I booked an appointment with the doctor and show up on time. They said it will be 4 – 5 minutes wait but it extended to an HOUR!

Grateful for this location and associates!!! So I went to a location in Newport Beach were me and my daughter were treated as a royalty. Anna was working that night along with Angel and not only were they able to answer answer all my questions but provide excellent customer service. I worked at Pelican Hill Resort which is a five-​star five diamond resort for years and I know great service when I see it! angel gave us so much information since we were new to the whole prescription and glasses experience. I want to send a message out for the store manager that I hope will read this, you definitely have two amazing associates that not only took care of the store but also took care of the customers and personalized our experience. I believe that every store manager or CEO would want dedicated employees like Anna and Angel, they work extremely well together and complement each other along with the store.

Nothing but excellent things to say about this store. My first experience was a screw falling out of some sunglass frames, which they fixed in legitimately 3 minutes. Great first impression.
While I was here, I noticed they performed eye exams, so I decided to schedule one a couple weeks later as it had been 5+ years since I’d had one. I had to wait probably 5 – 10 minutes before being taken back, so fairly prompt. Based on a problem I felt I had with one eye, the associate recommended a retinal scan which I’ll get to momentarily.
While waiting for my eyes to dilate, they told me to look at frames if I liked, which I found to be a little forward and forceful in getting me to purchase frames, but regardless, it was about another 5 minutes before I saw Dr. Danny Wong. He was very efficient and told me everything I needed to know (slightly nearsighted), but what truly impressed me was he found a more serious eye problem based on this retinal scan (which was properly alerted to by the associate), diagnosed it, and properly referred me to an ophthalmologist for further consultation.
98% positive experience. ⁵⁄₅ stars. For any future eye needs, I will definitely come back here.

I picked up a pair of Persols here at a great price. Unfortunately I brought them back for sizing a few weeks later and the young woman who bent the sides in (for a more snug fit) did so without hearing the acetate up first. A few days later, I noticed a crack in the acetate where she had bent them. This developed into a full fracture of the side. LensCrafters denied they had anything to do with the break, and of course Luxottica owns Persol, so I’ve gotten zero response from them. Great price, terrible customer service. Friendly people, but end of the day I’m left with broken Persols and no avenue for recourse.

5 stars for the Doctor and associate, but 4 stars for things being ridiculously expensive here despite my vision insurance.
This was my second time coming back to this LensCrafters and I have to say I absolutely love Dr. Vivian Morris and the associate there named Callen.
They both really cared about my experience and it showed. Dr. Vivian Morris remembered me from my eye exam from last year which to me, shows a lot. She’s very sweet and makes sure that your eye exam is as comfortable as possible.
If you’re coming here for an eye exam, for sure you’re there to be seen by Dr. Vivian Morris! =)

Terrible customer service. I called some call center to schedule my appt and mentioned my insurance provider. I arrived and filled out paperwork while about 8 associates stood around gabbing about customers and the one they were afraid they pissed off. Finally the lady comes back and says my insurance won’t cover my exam. Yet, before I even scheduled the appointment, my insurance website said to use LensCrafters! She wasn’t apologetic or helpful in the least. So rude!

The doctor is great. The other people who work there are so incompetant. Every week for 4 weeks I call them to see if my contacts are in. Every week i get the same response, «oh we never ordered them.» Are you serious??? I ran out of contacts already and all they can say is «sorry, do you want us to order them?» What the f??? How hard is it to place an order?

I was in and out of the store with an eye exam and a new pair of frames in about an hour on the busiest day of the year. I called to make an appointment about 30 minutes earlier and they squoze me in. Judy helped me out with the paperwork and pre-​testing and she was so friendly and informative. Dr. Morris examined my eyes and I could tell it was a really thorough eye exam. She was also super cheerful and seemed really happy to be here even though it was New Year’s Eve! I bought a pair of frames and using my insurance they cost me less than $ 20. This location has a huge selection of brands from Tiffany and Prada to Ralph Lauren and Ray Bans. It was easy for me to find a bunch of frames that I liked in my price range.

Dr. Morris goes the extra mile! Best I’ve ever had in over 10 exams. She really cares about you.

I don’t understand why this place is so ridiculously expensive. It’s maddening; it’s nerve racking. You think you’re going to a discount lens place, you think you’ll get a good deal… and then, they hit you upside the head with $ 450 for prescription lenses! OMG! Give me a break.
Well, to understand their prices, all you have to do is some research about Luxxotica. They own everything in the eye wear business… Oakley, Ray Ban, Sunglass Hut… and more. Look up the interview with the president of the company on 60 minutes. They make a fortune! With all that money, can’t they give us some sort of a break on lenses?
The place has become too automated and too hip. They’ve got young salespeople running around with iPads, checking your eyes, recommending frames, and then sticking you with a huge ticket. It just makes you cringe. The problem is that by the time they tell you the price, you’ve tried on frames, you’ve been told «darling, you look fabulous,» you’ve bought into the process, and then you’re done. Frames, lenses, and $ 700! What a system! What a way to make a fortune — for Luxxotica, that is. I keep telling myself I must find another place, but where? They own everything!

Five stars to the guy who was here on Sunday who adjusted my glasses. He was great! He knew exactly what he was doing, heated them up, bent them a little bit and BOOM… perfect fitting glasses. I just love it when people know what they are doing. They will adjust your glasses for free but they ask for a donation to some charity (I forget which one). I have a huge bag of old glasses from my mom, my dad, my hubs and myself that I plan to bring in here. I guess they donate them to the needy.

Stopped by without an appt on a Saturday to see if I could get an eye exam since I needed new prescription sunglasses. They were able to squeeze me in despite having a full schedule.
The exam was quick and easy. They have the latest in technology and the doctor was fun and personable. She actually made it enjoyable.
In and out in about 30 min. Can’t ask for anything more.

The doctors at this location are great. The staff up front – and management – are absolutely awful.
Too bad.

This is one of my favorite LensCrafters locations. It’s not as busy as some of the other stores, their staff is friendly and helpful, and they have a great selection. With brands like Tiffany, Tory Burch, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and Coach, there are plenty of great styles to choose from!
I usually stop by this location after I get my new prescription, but this time I came in just to look at the sunglasses. I’ve never been as consistent as I should be about wearing my sunglasses but I knew a new, cute pair would keep me motivated!
After a salesperson helped me try on several pairs, I found a pair that was perfect for me! Not too small or too big, I found a simple pair of frames that suited my style.
Whether I’m reordering contacts, getting a new prescription for my existing frames, or buying a new pair of sunglasses, I’ve always been happy with the service and selection at this LensCrafters location!
