About: The dancers of Island Inspirations are a collective group of award winning artist who have performed within the islands of the Pacific and beyond. As featured artist of the Orange County performing Arts center each performer is professionally trained and auditioned. This show is highly entertaining for audiences of all ages. History

Established in 1997.

Island Inspirations is under the direction of Alewa Maiava-​Olotoa who is an accomplished award winning hula dancer with over 20 years experience in Polynesian performing Arts. Her main focus is that cast members show their enduring passion for the Polynesian culture at each performance. Most recently she has been chosen by the Orange County Performing Arts Center as one of their featured artists in the Arts Teach program, where she and her group will be able to perform at various schools throughout Southern California, in hopes of teaching children the fascinating cultures of Polynesia through dance expression. For the past 15 years she has been immersed in Polynesian Performing Arts, where she has devoted herself as a teacher, choreographer and private event consultant. Her association as a performer in a variety of settings has fueled her ever growing passion of the arts.
