Not only one of the most basic manicures I have ever gotten, but she wanted to wax my eyebrows OUTSIDE because the waxing room was full. As I was standing up. Are these people crazy??? I obviously didn’t let them because they would’ve taken half my face off but wow the service here is horrible. The people also barely speak english and if you’re dealing with customers you have to be able to communicate to them in some possible way. The only way this place is still in business is because of the fashion island convenient location. I won’t be back.

I have just come back from a very bad experience. I called this place and got a price for a acrylic nails. i was told that would be $ 28. But when I wanted to tell the lady what color I wanted, she said just do Lumi gels, since that was better and she would charge me $ 40.00 total wheat the acrylics would be $ 28 plus another $ 15 for color. When i finished the bill was for $ 55 dollars for the lumigel because she had added another $ 15 for a color. I asked what is a lumigel without any color and why she did not tell me ahead. I am totally disappointed and feel this place is a total rip off. They are far higher than any of the salons I go to regularly and i do not know of any other place that tells you $ 28 for acrylics, then tells you that you should not do it and then upsets you and adds again for color.

I went in to get a pedicure and get an acrylic fixed that i broke off plus nail color change. First they didn’t believe that I had just regular polish on and not gel. Then when they «fixed my nail» they just globbed on the acrylic on my nail (no new nail) and somewhat shaped it into a nail. It looks awful, lumpy, thick and just overall unprofessional. My pedicure went pretty well which is the only reason they get 2 stars. Although they were pretty pushy with add-​on services which was also not fun. I definitely won’t go back there. Having to pay for my «fixed» nail was painful.

I’m not one to review a business due to a busy schedule but I’ll make an exception for this salon. I’ve been to this salon a few times (probably ¾) and I can say they pay the closest attention to detail than any other salon. I’ve never had a salon actually take their time when doing nails. Yes, I’m male so I don’t get gel or any kind of colour BUT they take their time no matter. I am always pleased she leaving and I always recommend the place. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a long day shopping at the island. I’be definitely found my spot.

For Eyebrow threading: Appointment was easy to make. Request Jeina, she did an amazing job on both me and my mom. Very attentive, courteous and eyebrows were done very pretty and clean.

I stopped into this Happy Nails location due to their extended hours… they are open until 9pm Monday through Saturday. Ivy, Brittany and Amy did an excellent job! Amy greeted me at the counter was very friendly. She seated me right away. I went close to closing and was worried that they would not take me, but they were very friendly and welcoming. I got a great gel mani/​pedi and the girls did great work. My only wish would to have had a longer foot rub vs. massaging my legs and feet. As a retail Store Manager… those foot rubs are like gold!

Today I went in at 830. They were closing at 9. The front desk mgr was so sweet to get me in for a much needed gel manicure. I was sat down with their new gaff member named Stella. This is truly the best gel manicure I have ever had! I will be going back to this location only and asking for Stella! I suggest that you do the same. I get manicures all over the world. So I have a lot to compare too. Happy nails at fashion island was still the best!

Let’s ignore this one star and pretend it’s zero. Not the quality of work, but the experice and customer service was beyond rude and disrespectful. I came in with a friend who understood the dialect the women were talking in, without realizing right away that she CAN understand her. They were talking badly about me while doing my nails and making fun of me. The women who did nails (i forgot her name, she sat next to a women named Susan) slammed her hand on the table every time she wanted me to switch hands. At one point she nipped me with the electric nail file and immediately shot me the dirtiest look. I found it so unnecessary the level of disrespect. If I’m paying you for a service, and this is your job, be polite. The only time she even smiled is when she realized my friend understood them. Well. That’s about it.

I love Happy Nails at Fashion Island. Their Pedicures are amazing with parra fun dip as an add on. I love Julie for my acrylic fill ins. she is very gentle and through. Get pampered today!

Call ahead & book with Jeina! Literally the only person I’ve trusted with my nails & eyebrows for the past year :) She doesn’t coat it too thick so it doesn’t crack & peel too quickly. She also has her own glitter that never disappoints. I get my eyebrows threaded from her as well!

I’ve been back to this location 5 times since my review. I am happy to say that management obviously addressed my concerns. I was contacted immediately for more details and to offer me a gift card mailed to my home. I didn’t not accept the offer because I did not notify the business to get free services. I am delighted to again call this place my regular spot. I was not checking in recently because I hadn’t decided on how to address the review. I’ll begin to check in again so you will see I’m a «regular». :)

We were turned away 45 minutes before closing. We will not be back.
I came here with my mom, and we arrived just before 5:15. We came all the way from Irvine. Anyhow, the young lady at the front desk was doing something on the computer, then greeted us by saying «…Sorry, what?» I said that we both wanted mani-​pedis. She frowned, and said «Ummm, we might not have technicians. Because we close soon.» Me: «You close at 6:00.» Her: «Yeah. Most of these people are on their last customers.» Her tone was flippant and she didn’t apologize at all.
So that was it. We left.
It’s ridiculous to turn away customers 45 minutes before closing. Screw this place.

Another time we came here, it was for a mani-​pedi with gel mani. A tech came and removed my polish, and was starting to clip my nails. The manager (I assumed) came over and told her that she had to help someone else instead. So they literally pulled her away from me in favor of someone else. When I complained about it afterward, the manager said «Yeah well we have other customers too.»

Total lack of respect for their customers time.
I called and made an appointment for manicure at 4:30 arrived at 4:20 and sat there for over an hour until I just left because I had prior engagement to attend to.
If I can give them some advice I would say– respect your customers time and especially a paying customer, and don’t lie about having appointments available just to get traffic to their store.

Went to Happy Nails yesterday for a manicure/​pedicure. I had two ladies working on my nails. The pedicurist was on her cellphone for a good amount of time while she was working on me and seemed like I was a bother to her. The manicurist barely spoke to me and wasn’t very friendly. The leg, arm and hand massages were rushed and boring quite frankly. They both cut my nails way too short. Some are uneven (needing to be filed properly).
Then this morning I woke up with my left big toe swollen and painful. Another toe – next to my left pinky toe – was bleeding in the corner of the nail.
Men’s manicures/​pedicures should be an easy process. Stay away from this place.

Went in on my lunch break and the service was quick and easy! Not the cheapest pedicure I’ve ever had but it’s lasted two weeks so far and the staff was really nice.
I do wish the chairs had the massagers. they just vibrate and it’s kinda weird…

It’s pretty common knowledge that nail salons never turn anyone away! So when I came with an hour lunch break I made sure they knew I only had ONE HOUR & let them know I would one back if there was not enough time. I was told it would no be a problem! I will not be waisting my lunch here again & I suggest anyone with a time crunch not to visit either.
Unfortunately my girls did not have enough time to complete my fill/​manicure or basic pedicure. But I am an understanding person, I left without polish on my hands or my feet rubbed or pampered in any way & said I would be back tomorrow to have them finish. I paid in full, tipped, & left.
What irks me & leaves me unhappy is that I return today to have them paint my nails & the same girl at the front I spoke to on my way out YESTERDAY acts like she has no idea what I’m referring to. She looks down at my unpainted nails & gives this confused look then rambles to the girl next to her in Vietnamese. She has the right to speak in her native tongue, this isn’t about how they speak Vietnamese-​frankly I don’t care– I go to get my manicure & pedicure to relax & get pampered not to talk or even just get my nails painted. I look forward to the massage & the lotion & oil! I didn’t get any of that. Nothing about my service was relaxing. Lili & Marie were sweethearts so this place gets a star for that…
… But when I asked the front desk girl today if they charge the same if I didn’t get my full service, she just said yes.
Wonderful. I just paid way too much money for someone to change my toe nail polish.
I’d like to clarify that this isn’t my fault. They were aware of my hour long limit & took me in any ways & I don’t think that this business practice is correct.
Won’t be going back.

Happy nails at fashion island um either you love it or hate it! Very busy salon everyone tried so hard to do their best. Just ask nicely tell them what you want they will try their best to please you. They have very long days most tech work 6 days a week from 9am to 8pm with no break everyone gets tired. Appointment might be off because of previous clients falling behind due to the mall and and parking so please be understandable, the tech tried their best to complete their service, you treat them good they will treat you like a queen.
Tip of advice Make a appointment with somebody that you like, dont just make an appointment. Dont be afraid to speak up if you dont like something they did.

God awful customer service here — the front lady was the «nicest» person, thankfully.
The girls working there barely speak English, and yelled at each other in Vietnamese in frustration while working on me, since I came back to fix ONE TOE due to the polish falling off the same day (while all my other toes were fine). Further, at the end she just walked away without saying anything and didn’t even put a top coat on /​finish up. I caught her on her way out (looked like she left to change and leave for the night!?) just to get my top coat.
Basically everything felt rushed and they really wanted to get themselves AND me out the door and on my way… how RUDE.
