Where to begin?.. I’m only giving two stars because of the wonderful lady who massaged my shoulders during my. Full set and pedicure. This place is ran by immature party girls. I get wanting to have fun at work but if you’re in the «spa» industry. Save your booty shaking, club stories and loud cackles for the nights out. Nails: I’m at the airport about to leave for Costa Rica. Had the new set done last night. They’ll need to be filled by Monday. Pedicure was average. I rarely review places. This one needed it!

Rose is very through. Awesome spot for gels. Will defiantly be back!!! Want to try out there acrylics.

Horrible customer service. The front desk girls were unorganized and scattered. They wrote my name down on the back of an old receipt. No wonder I sat on the one (way too low to the ground) tiny sofa without being acknowledged long past the estimated 10 minute quoted wait time. Finally was given a seat and a dirty, unorganized tray of gel polish colors to choose from. Never saw someone again. 10, 15, 20, 25 minutes went by. No one. Not even a foot soak in the tub. In this time I watched an elderly man finally get out of his chair and start to leave without being seen either. He was able to be talked in to staying. I got up and told the sweet girl doing pedicures at the seat next to me (who I know from my regular place I go) that I was leaving. She quickly told someone who chased me out the door, wanting me to stay. I explained there were too many places around that I love that actually acknowledge me and offer great services. I only was going to try this out of convenience-​had just had lunch next door. She did apologize and asked that I come back in. I still left.
Wish I could critique their actual manicure and pedicure but it never got that far.
Clearly won’t be going back.

This place doesn’t even deserve one star
My mom and I had a really bad experience. We got there at 5:30 pm and we were told to sit in the manicure chairs only for the unfriendly skinny lady to tell us we actually had to move chairs even though we already told her we didn’t want pedicures. Then we sat down and basically watched models on a runway on the screen while waiting another twenty minutes to be served
We were never assigned a manicurist. The lady in charge came by once to take our nail polish off and then left three different times and never worked on my mom’s nails again. They were talking crap in Vietnamese (which btw is rude to do)
After basically 35 minutes no one served us and no one apologized or told us an estimated time tat we would get served. I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs. You can smell the shitty service from outside the store

TYRANT RUNS THE PLACE — When your daughter takes you for a pedicure on Mother’s Day it’s supposed to be a treat, a time to relax and unwind from a hectic week. This was anything but a treat. The place was not at all crowded, so it looked promising when we walked in without a reservation. We put our names in and sat together on the 1 sofa they have in the waiting area.
After waiting about 20 minutes the one male working in the salon came over and seated us on opposite sides of the room, then placed another random patron in the chair next to me. He knew we’d come in together and had been waiting together, so I thought this was odd. I asked the manicurist assigned to me if we could be seated together. The male started screaming at her and she appeared terrified. When we started leaving he finally relented and screamed across the room (I assume in Vietnamese) and 2 empty chairs were assigned to us.
The screaming continued as he ordered all the women around the entire time we were there. It was very nerve wracking because the gals were doing a great job. He kept screaming at my gal to hurry up, because she started shaking and rushing through my pedicure, apparently terrified of him.
Needless to say, WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. This was a MOST UNPLEASANT experience, and not one I would ever care to repeat. It wouldn’t surprise me if he had a whip in the back room that he used on these women. THIS MAN SHOULD NEVER BE IN CHARGE and I can only hope that one day he will HAVE A TASTE OF HIS OWN MEDICINE!

This place is the best — immaculately clean, timely service, extremely professional. My favorite part though is Rose. In my 20 years of having my nails done, she does the best job of anyone, in addition to genuinely caring about all of her customers. Go see Rose!

Yes but your response to my review addressed none of the complaints I mentioned. Hardly «great customer service.» You offer NOTHING to have me come back.

My acrylics were a work of art and so was my pedi. The massage was amazing I did not want it to end.
The salon is beautiful, clean and they serve wine and champagne. I will be back for next time!

My daughter and I got manicures and pedicures. Nice, relaxing massages. Several techs worked on us at the same time – Julie, Michelle, Nick, Hannah and Victoria. The products used on us were soothing and fragrant. They used hot towels on our hands and feet. They offered us a drink (water bottles). Runway models were on tvs plus a movie. Music was a little loud and annoying. The chairs had massage controls but they were behind us so we couldn’t reset them.

I received a message on Unilocal apologizing for the previous manicures, and noting that the business had recently received new management. The manager offered me a free gel manicure and suggested I see Victoria. I scheduled an appointment with her, and unfortunately there was a scheduling mixup, so I ended up seeing Lee.
I am very happy to report that Lee did a fantastic job on my gel manicure. The manicure lasted a full two weeks. After about 10 days, one of my nails had a chip and started to break. But I was able to get it filed down until I could schedule my next appointment.
I will continue to go to Cosmo nails now that I know Lee can do a great job. I also wanted to give a shout out to Trang, who does amazing pedicures. She is so sweet and remembered that I had recently started a new job, and asked how I liked it.
Great service, and I’m very glad that I found a nail technician who could give me a lasting manicure.

I generally like it here. It’s a beautiful salon, they offer you beverages, and the technicians are really nice. Great pedicures.
My issue is with the gel manicures. I used to get gel manicures from Cosmo every 3 weeks back in 2014/​early 2015. A few months ago I started getting gel manicures again and I’m so disappointed. I keep going back hoping that this next manicure will be different. Unfortunately, my nails last maybe one week before starting to peel off. It’s so frustrating to pay a lot of money for a service that, just one year ago, lasted three times as long as it does now. Will be looking for a new salon.

Made an appointment two days ahead and showed up 10 min before and said they never booked me. Receptionist never apologized, had an attitude to top off my experience. So much for driving all the way from West Covina.

Certainly a step up in personal pampering for nails. There are package deals and a la carte items for nails and pedicures. I went on a cold day and they left the doors open, which made it hard to relax and stay warm. A bit pricey for me and my daughter for a girls morning out, but good services.
Definitely good for adults who want to spend a few more dollars for more pampering, drinks and ambiance. Loved watching fashion shows on the screens while being worked on.
I give an A-​ok 3 stars because it was too pricey for me, I didn’t like how the plastic bag felt in the pedicure tub on my feet and it was cold the whole time.
This is certainly catered to a particular customer who wants more visual comfort, drinks and a fancy salon, sadly it’s not me.

I’ve tried this place once, and never again.
I asked to get gel manicure and when the base coat of my gel had dust in it, I showed my discontent and asked the lady who was doing my nails to please fix that. She replied with «if I apply color to them, it won’t show don’t worry.» What??? Why would I want dirt on my nails? It’s not only not hygienic, it looks horrible. So she put on a sour face and started taking off the gel base coat, hurting my hands in the process to show that I had ticked her off. I ended up getting a regular manicure, and left almost late to my class even though I had left my home 3+ hours earlier in order to make it to class. Never again will I go to cosmo, I don’t know why it has such amazing, misleading reviews.

I love getting pampered here! Kati is the best she’s very meticulous and always provides the best manicures. The nail bar is very chic, modern, and vey clean. Definitely get the TLC mani/​pedi combo! Oh and the products they use smell amaaaaaazing! Already anticipating my next pampering

Great service! Mike is very attentive and honest about his products. Amy did my nails and they’re perfect!
I went to a different salon previously in Fountain Valley and my acrylics started lifting after a week so I wanted to get a fill nearby. Mike recommended I get a full set instead and I’m glad I did. I hope these last longer than my last set
They don’t have a wide variety of colors but they use good brands.

A few weeks ago I went in trying to redeem a gift certificate my husband bought me with cash for my birthday. The counter gal must have stole the money because the new owners had no record of his purchase. Even though the business card was signed by an ex-​employee, numbered (as though there was record somewhere) and dated the new manager would not honor the purchase. Just too bad they care more about their bottom line than the bottom of my feet. I asked for the owners to call me and they haven’t reached out to me either. Buyer beware.

Understand that I heard your «store policy» but as my review states, the pulse of Cosmo Nail Bar Newport Beach is not concerned with customer retention. The counter person acknowledged the viability of the ex-​employee that issued my gift card and that should have been enough to honor the card. I requested upper management to call and left my phone number and, to date, I have not received that call either. I am not interested in that call as the Irvine store has graciously stepped up to redeem the Cosmo Nail Bar name and the gift card. Apparently, they understand the value of customer appreciation in this day and age of sales. I will be writing them a glowing review when I am able to visit their facility.

My first time here and I loved it. They really prioritize health and cleanliness here. I found this salon because I had to go to the adjacent beauty supply store. So I figured I’d pop in.
The environment is girly, blingy and stylish. The staff is very kind and their products are great! They even told me they have a Vip room for parties and they play Netflix in there. How fun!
I got a filling with a design and the best pedicure package. The pedicure came with a diamond scrub, a hot stone massage, callous removal, paraffin and a foot mask. All of it was great! I always opt for French manicures and flowers when I get my nails done so they did that wonderfully for me.
I’m very happy I found this place! I’ll definitely be back the next time I need my nails done!
