Andrew Iraniha – Surgical Oasis

I was recently admitted to a hospital for several reasons… to find out that I had several stones in my gallbladder. Due to the details, it was highly recommended that I go into surgery and get it (my gallbladder) removed! I am a woman who practices more of the holistic side of things and likes to do all that I can naturally to prevent procedures such as this, but considering Iraniha’s advice, I decided to follow through with the surgery. It was because of this man that I felt comfortable staying in the hospital and continuing with the surgery. I would recommend him to anyone. He had wonderful bedside manner and his office staff was very thorough and efficient in filing my disability paperwork. My healing has gone well with no complications! Praise God and thanks to Iraniha and his staff!

My husband was a patient of Dr. Iraniha back in August. Like Scott S. we found the Doctor through our primary care doctor in the Hoag network. It was suppose to be a simple hernia operation, but it turned out it was a ruptured appendix. Dr. Iraniha was doing a robotic laparoscopic surgery and came across the ruptured appendix and abscess. if he had done it any other way, this might have gone undetected. Turns out the pathology report came back and my husband was diagnosed with appendix cancer. Dr. Iraniha was comforting yet professional in guiding us through this nightmare, and we had no doubt in our minds that he would be doing the surgery, but still opted for a second opinion. The other appointments that we had, I felt like my husband was just another «patient,» not in Dr. Iraniha’s office, such a wonderful, caring doctor. West Anaheim Medical Center is where Dr. Iraniha does most of his surgeries and my husband’s was scheduled there. If I could rate the facility and staff more stars, I certainly would. From the moment we checked in, pre-​op, recovery and getting my husband into a private room, the staff treated us all with respect, dignity and compassion. My husband was in the hospital for a week, and I would go to the cafeteria daily and got to know one particular employee there, Sandra, so nice and friendly. She was not only that way with me, but with everyone, staff, patients family members, even construction workers that went there for lunch. Dr. Iraniha is «old school» he is what we, as patients, need in the medical field. His bedside manner is phenomenal, and the respect that he shows his staff and patients is to be commended. On a side note, the last time I walked out of the Anaheim Medical Center was bittersweet, I felt like I was saying goodbye to family.

I recently had hernia repair performed by Dr. Iraniha. As a physician myself, my main reason for choosing him was because I wanted someone with a lot of experience. Dr. Iraniha is up to date on the latest techniques for this procedure, allowing him to make the best decision for the type of operation required. Fortunately I was a candidate for the most modern technique, robot assisted repair with lightweight mesh. His comprehensive website gives lots of information about the operation, and even has some videos of the robot assisted surgery, which is quite amazing to see in action. I had my procedure done as an outpatient at Hoag Irvine. While waiting in the staging area before the procedure, the nurse had nice things to say about Dr. Iraniha without my even asking. So I underwent my surgery with confidence knowing I was in good hands. Dr. Iraniha is very personable, on my initial visit he clearly explained my situation and details of the operation. I have had one followup so far and he was happy to answer my questions. I am nearing the end of my «no exercise» period and am looking forward to getting back to my regular activities. The recurrence rate for this type of hernia repair is quite low compared to the traditional methods, so I know I can return back to my regular routine with confidence. I most highly recommend Dr. Iraniha.

I found Dr. Iraniha during an online search for hernia surgeons. He was my third doctor I had visited for an opinion.Dr.Iraniha spent a considerable amount of time with me during my initial exam and consultation. I was put immediately at ease with his demeanor and supreme knowledge of my issue. He took a lot of time answering all my questions about my hernias, what to expect from the surgery, and the recuperation. In addition to my large inguinal hernia, he detected a second inguinal hernia two other doctors had missed
With his experience and knowledge in repairing my condition, he recommended using the Da Vinci robot for minimally invasive surgery. Three small incisions were made and my hernias were repaired with mesh placed behind the abdominal wall.
Dr.Iraniha contacted me the day after surgery to see how I was recovering. He asked my level of pain, and answered some questions I had.
Pain was very minimal and tolerable. I was released to return to work after six weeks of recovery.
I have seen many doctors in my life and have had three surgeries. I have never had the pleasure of such a warm, caring, and professional doctor as I had with Dr.Iraniha.I never felt rushed by him no matter how long it seemed I spent asking questions. I highly recommend Dr. Iraniha for any procedure he performs!

Dr. Iraniha performed a double Hernia on me six weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I found Dr. Iraniha through my primary care doctor in the Hoag network. I had a double hernia repair done (probably squatted kettlebells a little too heavy for me) and Dr. Iraniha was very helpful throughout the entire process. I found him through the Hoag network and wonderful reviews online, but still, naturally, was nervous during my initial consultation (I’d never had a hernia before and didn’t know much about them). He told me about his suspicions and I ended up having to do two tests to see if they could easily identify a hernia. Sadly since I had just a minor ones, they weren’t even detected on either the CT scan or the ultrasound. However, based on my bulge placement and my description of my discomfort and pain, Dr. Iraniha told me he still believed I had a hernia. Fast forward to surgery day; they were scheduled to first double check (with a camera in a small incision) that I did indeed have a hernia, and if so, would repair it then. He ended up finding two! I had one basically mirroring the one that was noticeable on my left hand side as well (pretty common actually). So, he fixed both and now 6 weeks post surgery after my last appointment with him (I’m now cleared to exercise again!) I’m all healed up and read to work out again :) My scars have been healing up wonderfully. You can obviously still see them (I’m only 6 weeks out from surgery) but they’ve dramatically improved in appearance, quite exponentially. I recommend him to anyone who even has the smallest suspicion that he/​she might have a hernia. Extremely professional, very kind and caring, very experienced, and great person in general.
