20th Street Beach & Bike not only have the newest bike selection to choose upon, but their service was the best. Last week, I rented bikes for me and my significant other at 20th Street and when I realized I needed to fund the parking meter, I called and asked Kent if he would be kind enough to tend to the meter. Kent, without hesitation, gladly tended to my needs. With service like that, I highly recommend 20th Street Beach & Bike.

Bought a bike here and soon after discovered the back wheel was bent and wobbled badly. After a little back and forth with the employees the owner stepped up and replaced! Turned out to be a positive experience and we will be back to rent/​buy bikes in the future.

Great place to rent bikes! Cheaper than the boardwalk and no charge for locks and baskets. Really nice bikes as well. If you are vacationing or new to the area I would highly recomend renting a bike and touring the area. Once you get away from the crowds it is very pleasent and senic. You can also hop the ferry over to Balboa Island for about $ 3.00 round trip.

These guys are great. We rented paddle boards and they were really cool about letting us leave our stuff with them to watch. They carry the boards the two blocks to the beach for you on a cute little bicycle trolley which was really nice. When I paddle boarded in Seattle we had to carry them really far, and they’re pretty heavy, so this was nice We weren’t sure how long we’d had them out so since we didn’t bring our phones, so we didn’t know when our hour was up, but they weren’t too worried about it. They ended up taking about 15 minutes to come get our boards once we came in, and they gave us some free boogie boarding time to make up for it.

I knew before arriving for our vacation that this would be the bike shop we rented from. The other reviewers were spot on!
We walked into the shop the other day and wanted 2 beach cruisers and a bike with training wheels for my son. We were all set up with our bikes and on our way within minutes.
The shop was nice, we got there at about 11am and there were plenty of bikes to choose from. The guys were super nice and friendly and made sure the bike my son had was comfortable for him.
We will absolutely be back next time we’re in town.

The whole experience of picking out our Pedego electric bikes was 1st class. The bikes were delivered when promised, and the customer service was beyond expectation!

While my family and I were vacationing in Newport Beach we rented beach cruisers at 20th Street Beach and Bikes. Mark took great care fitting all 9 of us for the perfect sized bike, helmet and basket. The bikes were exceptionally maintained and seemed very new. We were so impressed with Mark and 20th Street Beach and Bike that we went back the next day to rent paddle boards. The boards were beautiful and again like-​new. I will definitely rent from here again and give Mark 5 stars as well for being such a great guy! Fabulous experience!!!

I walked into this clean shop and rented a beach cruiser. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was offered a helmet, bike basket, and a bike lock. The bike I was given was in great condition! We had a great time. I will definitely be back!

This place is by far the place to rent bikes, boards, pedi gos etc. I rented from this place in the summer and loved the experience and customer service and vowed to tell everyone about it. I have tried others. Just rented 3 single pedi gos and a tandem for my family of 5. It has been a total blast and worth every penny. Drove into newport and ate at Baja fish taco. Legal on Boardwalk and street. Super fast. Easy to ride. My 11 year old girl is loving the tandem and my 14 and 17 year olds are in love with them also. The customer service and willingness to work out a deal are top notch but I would come back even if they didn’t work out a deal. Thanks guys for making vacations better.

3 words to describe this bike rental shop, NEW, CLEAN and FRIENDLY.
I had planned an afternoon with my wife and daughters to celebrate Mother’s Day. I was on my way to Balboa to rent from one of those popular rental shops near the ferry. But I changed my mind when I saw the large selection of new bikes right near Newport Beach pier.
I pulled in and was offered discounted parking by owner, Kent. He greeted us and within 5 minutes we were on brand new beach cruisers. The business is only a couple weeks old so everything is in great shape.
The prices were better than what other places advertised.
$ 5/​hour or $ 15/​4-​hours. Parking was $ 20 all day (holiday).
For only $ 80 my entire family of 4 had a wonderful afternoon in Newport/​Balboa Beach.
I noticed they rent electric bikes, paddle boards and other beach stuff. Next time I want an afternoon of fun at Newport, I will be back to 20th Street.
