As someone who loves craft beer, this place is great. They have a huge selection of craft beers and wine. I always wind up spending too much time walking around looking at everything. Staff is pretty good, even went in the back and got me a 6 pack of Lawson’s they had just got in. Check out area is kind of dirty and looks like the whole place could use a little face lift, but its a package store. All in all good place for beer lovers. Always stop here on the way home from work.

I always come here whenever I’m in CT for my boozy needs. Their prices aren’t always the best, but they have a great selection. Everything you need all in one place! I also love the people who work here… always so friendly and helpful. At the holidays, they have super friendly people who gift wrap your bottles. so nice! Happy to support this store.

Staff needs to help more! I was wandering the aisles for a while and never got any help. But, I found everything I wanted so I’m still happy, I just wish I didn’t have to waste my time going down all of the aisle searching. But, check out staff were friendly.

There are a handful of Beverage Mart’s in the neighborhood where you have a wide variety of Wines, Vodka, Bourbon & Whiskey’s to pick from. The staff over here are very helpful, be it recommending a choice of wine to help a confused mind to pick up from or help you find what you are looking for. This is definitely my favorite place to pick my liquors.

LOVELOVELOVE this place. Seriously, whenever i need help with something the staff is so wonderful. My fiancé was being a pain and wanted a new beer to try but didn’t really know what he wanted. Two staff memebers were so patient and helpful, picked out a beer he ended up liking. Another time i went in to buy bulk in campaign for a girlfriend of mine’s bridal shower. They had a brand at discount when buying in bulk, but the guy talked me out of it, saying it was too expensive and i could get the cheaper brand and ended up giving me the bulk discount anyways. To me, those little things, go a long way. The store is always clean, friendly and have an amazing variety. Whatever you are looking for, they have it!

Really nice selection of beer, wine, and liquor, conveniently located, and reasonable prices. However. I have a bone to pick with one of the staff members(perhaps the manager?) I was in the store the other day browsing the wine selection for quite a while(at least 10 – 15 minutes.) At the same time there were at least 4 – 5 other patrons browsing. I was in an aisle where there was one person stocking(who didn’t even acknowledge me) and another who was walking around. I noticed him walk by me and ask a customer if they needed help finding anything, and engaged them in conversation, etc. He then asked another customer the same thing. Then another. The difference between the other patrons and myself? I’m 23, and the others were all at least 40. I made sure to make eye-contact with the employee as if to say«don’t leave me out!» He peered over from a wine rack and said, «you all set miss?» I smiled and said«yes» and he walked away. Nowhere near as engaging or enthusiastic to sell product to me as he was to the others. Sad, too. I work as a bartender in an Italian restaurant and have a decent wine knowledge. Had he engaged me and offered to show me popular or new wines, he probably could have upsold something really nice to me(I am young and impressionable, after all.) CT Beverage Mart, you’re not a bad establishment. Far from it. This is just a friendly(however harsh) reminder to you to make sure to validate and welcome your younger patrons. Not all of us are there to steal your Dubra. See you soon!

Mainly a craft beer guy here, so this review focuses there. When you put ‘mart’ somewhere in the title of your store, you better be running the gamut on your offerings of beer, wine, and liquor. Fortunately, this place comes through. International beers, micro’s, and of course macro’s…growlers, bombers, and I even saw(and took a pic of) a 3 liter Stone Double Ba$tard IPA for $ 100 or so… So you’ll find stuff here that you won’t find elsewhere. You can also do the mix /match game with your beers as well, but will pay more for the privilege. Service is adequate… They have enough employees keeping the shelves stocked and you can ask for help if you can’t find something. Pricing is also important to me and you won’t find the cheapest prices around, but I would say it is average to below average pricing. This is my go-to place when I’m in the mood to try something out of the ordinary, but don’t know exactly what… I can spend 30+ minutes browsing and come away with an oddball IPA along with some crazy chocolate coffee porter for dessert. A recommend.

A pretty well stocked beer section, and it is nice to see they not only have reasonable prices but also had sales on beers that weren’t the usual macro brews. One thing that i thought was weird was the way half the parking lot was blocked off for liquor store parking and the spots up front had signs for Senior Citizen parking only or some such nonsense. I guess they don’t like the people that shop next door at Savers.

CT Bev Mart is always on the list of things to do while home visiting the family. This is THE place to go to for craft beers in the area. Awesome rotating selection including hard-to-find bottles. Very reasonable prices to boot. I always find it easy to pick up a few bottles of wine for the parents. It’s also quite convenient to have a bottle return station right on premises! Gotta get that CT bottle deposit cash back!

A fantastic store. Although the inauspicious title of «CT Beverage Mart» conjures images of malt liquor and cash register robberies, I assure you that this is one of the best places in the Hartford area for beer, wine, and liquor. The selection is excellent all around. 3000+ wines, hundreds of beers, and an impressive liquor seciton(though I can’t speak much to liquor since I don’t buy it often). The store staff is very knowledgable, speaks ENGLISH, and will surely help you choose the right product. Prices are excellent too. Unfortunately, they can’t do much about CT taxes and bottle deposits, but I never feel like I’ve paid too much walking out of the store. Come on down, check it out, and walk out happy!

Big open floor layout, easy to use bottle return right when you walk in, and one of the few places where they have a decent/high end selection of beer wine and liquor. I actually care about what I drink and if you know how to wade threw all the crap they they have to carry for the people without taste, you’ll find some excellent product. The imported beer, bourbon/whiskey, and Italian wine section is where I spend mnost of my time. A toy store for alcoholic adults. A must try. Ask aobut the high end wines in the back of the store, too!

Michele has hit the spot on this one. CT BevMart has *everything*. Of course, as with any store the size of a Home Depot, they have 1 knowledgeable salesperson to every 10 competent staff members. Seek him or her out — look for expensive shoes or watches(seriously, it works) if you’re in need of a good wine suggestion. I have to disagree on the«beerguys», however. They’ve spent more time in the woods with 12% craft beers than the rest of us. Listen to ‘em, they know what they’re talking about. As with any Home Depot size store, this is a DIY warehouse. You’ll be the one doing all the«heavy lifting».
