Great little shop. I was passing and thought why not check out their Brews. Score. I browsed the larger, un-chilled bottles 1st and grabbed a couple I hadn’t tried. Then onto the chilled coolers. Oh my, good selection of sixers from various micro/marco brewers. Take your time browsing. I was about to grab a six, then noticed an invite to backside of the cooler(best place to find treasure. I walk in, wearing shorts from the gym, and again browsed slowly, top to bottom, and side to side. Bingo, a stash of Grey Sail(RI), Captains Daughter and Pour Judgement. Bam! Two I’ve been in search of. With my arms full, I scurried to the check-out and home for a sampling. No mistakes or disappointment. Berlin Spirits, I shall return!

Since this is the closet liquor store to my house, it is my go-to place to pick up wine or beer. Luckily, their red wine selection is excellent and the wine layout is organized. There are many wine bottles under $ 12 and the employees are very pleasant.

Well I guess it pains me to give Berlin Sprits its first non-five star review, but there’s a darn good reason. I bought a 12-pack of Labatt Blue bottles because they were ostensibly on sale; the label on the shelf said $ 8.99, and clearly identified the product to be sold at that price. When I took it to the counter, it was suddenly $ 10.99. The employee did little more than shrug her shoulders, saying she couldn’t do anything about it because the manager had left for the day. Wasn’t worth the trouble… But it’s a nice little liquor store, with good prices(when accurately displayed) on a surprising variety of items. The Connecticut wine section is incredibly impressive — I’d venture to guess that a majority of CT’s wineries are featured, if not a good number of them. A relatively large number of items are kept cold for grab and go convenience. And of course, in this part of the world, there’s plenty of Polish beer. If you live in Berlin, it’s just what you need. If you don’t, it’s quite close to Route 9 and the Berlin Turnpike, so it’s convenient for all.

I agree with Byron. They’re always helpful and cheery. The prices are the lowest around, especially if you buy in cases.

This is my go-to liquor store. They have a terrific selection of liquors, wine and beers. The employees and management are ALWAYS extremely nice and helpful. If they don’t have what you are looking for, they will order it! They have very good prices on most of their inventory as well. I highly suggest to anyone in the area!
