The food is amazingly good — out of this world good! The prices are cheap but they offer big portions which is perfect. My friends and I go regularly, but I have to mention that even though the food is great, their customer service is HORRIBLE. there is probably ONLY ONE WAITRESS that actually pays attention and gives excellent service. besides that, everyone else from their staff is rude, ignores your requests, and provide poor services.
I do not speak Portuguese, but I understand it. This one day, I decided to get an empanada after school and usually what I would do to order my food is give the person at the register my phone to my boyfriend, who is Brazilian, could order my food correctly since I can barely put any sentences together yet. This guy at the register at that time, must of been two weeks ago, didn’t even greet me at all, he had a shitty face the entire time, and took his sweet as time to complete my purchase. Before I even gave him the phone, since I didn’t want to come off rude, was to ask him if there was anyone who spoke English. He pretended he didn’t underatand, and so I gave him the phone. after he puts the order in the computer, he refuses to take my money and starts taking other peoples orders who were after me — an entire line. Thank god I wasn’t in a rush, but that is such an ASSHOLE move. I am a waitress so I am not just saying all of this just because I want to be a bitch about it, but because I know how this type of business functions. After he had done all of that, I asked in English for green sauce, and all of a sudden they knew English… that’s just a shitty as move to make on a customer specially when they are coming to the business and providing profit for it. That’s just unacceptable and very rude. I usually leave more than 20% tips whether its a Togo order or I’m eating in. But that day, I even wrote on my receipt, that it was the worst customer service I had ever received! I will continue to go of course because I love the food, but if you are looking for an excellent customer service, you probably shouldn’t be going there. If this business wants to continue making profit, they need many areas in which they need to improve, specially customer service!

If you asked me about this place the year it opened I’d tell you it’s my #1 but now, it’s just a place to go if I’m very drunk and my friends want to eat there.
The concept of the Brazilian burger is great and the food used to be more delicious but now it’s just like any other Brazilian burger. The burgers are OK. I think a big part of it has to do with the constant change of employees (I’ve never seen the same person working twice)
The service, OH MY GOD, horrible! If you don’t speak Brazilian Portuguese you will have a problem. If you’re order take out or delivery God bless you if you don’t speak Brazilian Portuguese. They’re super rude to you and WILL mess up your order. I swear it’s intentional! I don’t get it. The few times my Portuguese friends have ordered for me it’s been okay but when I try to do it, no way I’m getting it right!
Open letter to management: micro manage your staff and get it back to where it used to be! Maybe the second restaurant would’ve done well if the staff was better.

This was my very first experience at Suave Sabor and it’s already a disappointment. I paid for food I didn’t even receive. I placed an order for takeout, when I got home I realized an item was missing. I called to inform them and ask if they could deliver it. They agreed and took down my information. I live very close by but they never showed up. With so many Brazilian shops in the area it’s very easy to just strike this one from the list. Never again!

let’s first start with the terrible service !!! The girls first take forever to take your order and then afterwards are rude at times. But the main reason for the terrible review is I FOUND HAIR IN MY FOOD FOUR TIMES!!! And this last time was even more ridiculous than the last three. My boyfriend and I went to order burgers and when my boyfriend was almost done eating he found a long piece of hair in his burger. We told the servers about the hair and they implied as if my hair could have fallen on the burger. But that is impossible considering 1) I had my hair tied and 2) it was my boyfriends burger and not mine. I did not even go near his burger. Afterwards we asked for his burger to be free and we would pay the rest of the bill and they accused us again of technically pulling my hair and throwing it in the food and two forcing us to pay for a unsanitary meal! Best part of it all was the attitude and rudeness when they should be apologetic about the situation! Absurd!!! Do not go there unless you want hair to be in your food and have to pay for food with hair in it !!

Mas a principal razão para a terrível revisão é que encontramos cabelo na minha comida QUATRO VEZES !!! E esta última vez foi ainda mais ridículo do que os últimas três. O meu namorado e eu fomos a pedir hambúrgueres e quando meu namorado foi quase terminou de comer ele encontrou um longo pedaço de cabelo em seu hambúrguer. Dissemos aos servidores sobre o cabelo e eles insinuado que era onmeu cabelo poderia ter caído sobre o hambúrguer. Mas isso é impossível, considerando 1) eu tinha o meu cabelo amarrado e 2) foi ohambúrguer do meu namorado e não o meu. Eu nem sequer chegar perto de seu hambúrguer. Depois, pedimos se podemos pagar a conta mais pegar o hambúrguer dele de graça e eles nos acusou novamente de tecnicamente puxando meu cabelo e jogando-​a no alimento e obrigando agente a pagar! A melhor parte de tudo foi a atitude e a grosseria quando eles devem ser apologético sobre a situação! Absurdo!!! Não vá lá a menos que você quiser o cabelo para a sua comida e tem que pagar pela comida com o cabelo na !!

Kitchen workers put no effort into making your food. I’ve had 3 different desserts with mold in them and staff is horrible.

Great food. HORRIBLE service! It makes me never want to order again and I order at least once a week.
A few weeks ago I called for delivery, I specifically asked for the sauces. When it got there-​no sauces! The poor delivery driver had to go back and get it. I then noticed that they forgot my drink! So once again the delivery driver went back to grab my drink. Unbelievable!
I also went there this weekend to eat and I only took a couple bites out of my burger and asked my bf to go to the counter (since no one came up to check on us ONCE after taking our order). My bf had left it on the counter to go to the bank real quick and when we asked where the burger was some really rude lady, Mikaela, raised her voice at us saying that she gave it to him (which she didn’t) and told us it was our problem. So then I explained to her it was impossible she gave it to him and she started YELLING!! soooo rude. What kind of place hires such a disrespectful girl. You should never yell at your customers especially since we weren’t yelling at her. thanks to the nice tan man he remade my sandwich as she was arguing with him saying it was our problem not theirs. He was the only professional one!
There should be a manager there more often because every time I call to speak to one there isn’t ever one there. No wonder employees act all crazy and there is no order to that place!
It’s a shame that I won’t be ordering anymore from there because of the waitstaff. They are going to lose all their business that way

Bestburger joint in the ironbound area. Dont care if anyone disagrees. This spot is open 24hours and they never disappoint. But expect a bit of wait and expect the staff to only talk Portuguese haha it’s part of the experience. Oh and you must try the Xtudo burger (not for the weak heart)

I work late so this place being open 24 hours is really convenient for me. I ordered the X Burger and in just over 5 minutes it came flying out the kitchen with melted cheese, fresh greens, a slice of tomato, and mini fries stuffed under a warm bun. Patty was cooked nicely with a slightly pink center. A fat Brazillian/​American burger for 5 bucks at 1:30 am? Considering the waiter even put extra sauces for me on the table as well… Not bad… not bad at all. 5 stars.

The food here is pretty good and it’s not expensive. The burgers are the best. I also like their Brazilian pancake. The only reason I’m giving one less star is because the service can be a little bad sometimes but it’s not always. So if you’ve been there only one time and the service was bad Id recommend for you to go again.

Their burgers are good compared to other similar places. When it comes to the other stuff, I’d go to Altas Horas. Place is clean and staff is friendly. Plenty of street parking and seating. Kid friendly.

Love the food it’s been my 2^nd time I wish I can write what I ate but I can’t spell it. There passion fruit juice yum!

All the food is solid here, however it’s their brazilian/​american style burgers that keep me coming back. Check out their desserts as well. And the acai shake!

Excellent Brazilian snacks (salgadinhos) in this place. Tried the coxinha com catupiry and the kibe. Well worth it, and will be coming for more!

This place is my new favorite spot for Brazilian «Salgadinhos» (Fried pastries stuffed with different meats and cheese). Everything you order is freshly made which is evident in every bite you take. They also offer a variety of sandwiches/​hamburgers and freshly made juices. Very spacious dining area and friendly service.

I used to go out of my way to go to this place, it was by far the best ! It seems like they have adopted the Hamburgao business model and started substituting Brazilian cream cheese with American cream cheese any authentic Brazilian establishment would never do this this!

I love Brazilian food. I’m so happy this place is here. I give 4 stars because it was very slow service, but everything else was great

Absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD desserts. I got the X Bacon which was delicious (always go for the extra sauces.) Then my friends and I shared the brigadeiro, flan, and the banana cake. Every dessert was absolutely amazing. My personal favorite was the flan. Cannot wait to go back.

If you love Hamburgao you will really love this place too! Suave Sabor is open ²⁴⁄₇ which is just amazing. After having a few drinks in the ironbound this is the place to go when you have the munchies. I usually get the X frango, which is basically a chicken sandwich with ham, bacon, potato sticks, corn, lettuce, and tomatoes. I also order a side of fries. One side of fries can be shared with another friend, the portion is huge!
