Park Plus Airport Parking

I used the Groupon from this order and the owner at the location was totally unprofessional, insulting, and disrespectful. He went so far as to say that he didn’t care about my business because I had the Groupon and he looses money on it. This all happened when I picked up my car. He gave me such a hard time when I simply questioned the service fee. All he said is read the fine print on the Groupon. He is rude and insulted me saying; «What wrong with you, you can’t read, you don’t understand???» «Read the fine print». When I arrived home and looked at the receipt I noticed that they charged me for an extra day. He made us wait at the airport for 45 minutes in the freezing cold, until the clock went over by 2 minutes into another day to allowing the extra day charge. I guess this is how he makes up for his lose when redeeming the Groupon. This was a poor choice of mine to buy this Groupon. Your Company should do better research and look at the negative reviews this vendor (Park Plus) has on the Unilocal website.

This is the second time i used their services. Last time i used them they were OKAY at best. This time was horrific. First off, I had 2 separate vehicles going and we each paid $ 35 exrra for their «drop up» servixe. We both made reservations and called in advance to be sure they had 2 drivers onsite and would be prepared for us. When we arrived we were told there was only 1 driver and he would have to drop one vehicle of us off at the airport and then drive back to the facility, drop off the car, grab the other vehicle and then drive them to the airporr.
Then after our trip we came home and called to let them know it was time to pick us up. 45 minutes later they showed up! The reason i was willing to pay extra for their drop up service was for convenience. I always use this service out of Philly international with Winner airport service and it’s always great. Maybe park plus needs more training on customer satisfaction because they made this trip anything but convenient.

I parked my car here in late August for a one week trip. Upon arrival my back bumper had chips out of the paint, I believe they were parking the cars too close to each other in the parking lot. I filed a claim form while I was there and have called numerous times and no one has called me back. I’m going to call my credit card company to dispute the charges as this is unacceptable behavior. I shouldn’t have to wait two months to hear back from them.

I have used this service extensively over the years and have generally been happy. I recently used a groupon for an extended trip after hearing previous customers talking about it. When I checked their website I was very unhappy to see the groupon deal cost me $ 1 more than if I reserved direct. I don’t like to be scammed. I believe if you will cheat me on a deal like this, you will cheat me elsewhere. I will now look for alternative parking services. At least Groupon gave me a credit after I complained about the no deal deal. They also charge more to park at their Route 1 lot than the Bessemer lot. They are the same lot!

I have a hard time giving 5 stars to anyone. If pick up was as good as getting to the airport, I would have gladly given 4. My wife, 2yo, and I waited 50min to be picked up at Newark with numerous phone calls in between explaining that the «van was on its way» When it did arrive, the driver drove right past us. My car was in the port when we got back to the lot. Not sure if this is normal procedure or they where trying to make due for the F-​up. Probably won’t use them again.

The airport drop off was seamless, the airport pickup was a nightmare. Beware that the directions are unclear on the back of the ticket and the most info you will get from anyone regarding pick up location is to «look at the back of the ticket».
Website claims shuttles run every 5 – 10 minutes. At 12:30am, the lot only had one shuttle running despite many arrivals.
After waiting 25 minutes and calling back, I was told the shuttle was at at the pick up location now and that if I didn’t see it I was in the wrong place. I asked the dispatcher to please hold the bus for two minutes while we made our way to the «correct» pick up location but when we arrived to no bus and called again and were told we needed to wait another 15 – 20 minutes for the bus to circle back around. In all we arrived at our car one hour after our initial call for shuttle pick up.
Staff offered no condolences instead insisting that we were ignorant for not knowing where to go, that «no one else had problems with the directions».

Parked my car at the ¹⁄₉ location and although it is difficult to find, all seemed to go well. That is until we returned. We had arranged for Valet pickup and paid the $ 25. Well in their defense, it was raining rather heavily but it still took 25 minutes to get my car which was told would take 5. When we got the car, I noticed my radar detector mounting assembly was missing but since it had fallen off in the past, I paid no mind and figured I would find it in the morning. Fortunately, I locked the radar detector in the glove box. It is a Valentine 1.
I also wear prescription glasses for driving only. I looked in my console and my old trusty glasses were there and home I went. It rained Saturday, and Sunday the car was not used.
This morning, the sun was out and I figured I would put on my prescription Maui Jim sunglasses also kept in the center console and also prescription. Only one problem. They were not there. I searched the entire car and they are just gone. Now these glasses have not left the car in 2 years since they are prescription and you really can’t wear them other than to drive.
I called and was told to fill out a claim form online. There is no claim form online. Then I was told to email and wait for someone named John to call.
Bottom line? This garage stole a useless radar mount and a very expensive pair of prescription Maui Jim Sunglasses that are useless to anyone but me. They steal. Ironically, none of my change was touched.
I am a very successful business owner and I have no reason to try to deceive or get something from Park Plus. I already know what they will tell me from reading the posts on Unilocal.That is if they even bother to contact me at all. My goal here is to let people know that they do steal. Bottom line. They apparently have a problem with their so called long term employees that will never steal. They do and they did.
Enough said. Avoid this place and give your money to a more reputable business.
UPDATE: Was contacted once by somebody and offered a credit for my theft. I was also told it was taken seriously and would be investigated. I declined the credit since I would not want to give them another opportunity to steal something else, and have not heard from them again. Meanwhile I am out over $ 500 for a new pair of glasses that replaced the pair they stole. If you have the cameras you had mentioned in a previous response, perhaps you should review them and see how many people actually drove my car. You may find your thief!

I will probably park my car here every time I fly out of Newark. I really love this place. The staff here is really nice, the prices are soooooo affordable, and the shuttle comes really quickly.
I parked here before heading to Toronto because I got an amazing deal online. The shuttle departed from the facility within five minutes of me checking in, and when I arrived on Tuesday, the shuttle picked me up six minutes after I made the call. Impressive.
I’m definitely here for it. Give them a shot, and look for deals online.

Manager got back to me and admitted that they did drain my battery and that I should have been told about it. They offered me a voucher for a free parking stay that does not expire.

Excellent parking garage. Gutted I hadn’t found it sooner for previous flights out of Newark. The garage is easy to find, and straight forward in dropping your car off and picking it up once you’re back. The staff are friendly and the rate is so cheap… I will definitely be using these guys again.

I recently parked at their lot on Rt 1&9 at Newark airport. A cable to charge my phone was stolen. Not a large cash value but certainly doesn’t make me feel safe using their lot. To make matters worse I’ve left multiple phone messages for the manager without receiving a reply. They seem to be ok with theft. Go somewhere else.

One shuttle for a multi-​terminal international airport? Are you serious with this place?
Upon arrival we waited 5 minutes before someone came & took our car & another 20 before leaving the lot to head to the airport… Strike 1.
Fast forward a week, we call to tell them we arrived, the shuttle comes 20 mins later to tell us it’s full they’ll will get us the next cycle. Strike 2.
15 mins later, still waiting no shuttle in sight… A dozen parking spot and Newark Liberty shuttles pass us in that time. Strike 3.
We finally get a shuttle, a quick easy ride to the lot, reception was friendly and car was waiting… That’s what gets the extra *
We gave it a try but from now on, one of the next door lots it is!

First time and last that I will be using Park plus. The day of our flight, the shuttle driver took us to pick up another client and told us he couldn’t drive us upstairs to Departures, because it wouldn’t be fair to the client he had just picked up! I thought he was joking, but he made us get off, a family of 5 people with 3 suitcases, stroller, car seats and carry on bags and pointed to the elevator across the street from where he left us. I was furious but my kids were all upset and I didn’t want to make the situation worse by telling him he was an idiot and starting an argument.
A week later when we called them to pick us up from the terminal, we waited about 20 minutes for the driver, who drove back to the lot like a maniac, with total disregard for our well being; I was praying he wouldn’t kill us with his recklessness.
The only reason I’m not giving them 1 star is because the gentlemen inside the office are very nice and professional. If management is reading this, you need to train your drivers to be more professional as well.

Best parking service I’ve used yet… found them on Groupon… they park for you and shuttle was ready to go in less than 5 minutes. Staff were very friendly. I would definitely use them again!

What a disappointment. My family and I always use a neighboring service, but because the lot was full we decided to give Park Plus a try. When we returned from our trip it had just snowed and was very dark. We picked up our vehicle and returned home. The following morning we noticed the back window of our vehicle had been smashed. There was no way it had gotten smashed parked in our garage over night.
We contacted Park Plus immediately only to get the run around. Our issue was not resolved. No one called us back. They have me false people to contact and now I am out of 800 dollars for fixing a repair that was done by them.
PLEASE DO NOT USE this parking lot. They don’t care about their customer service and your car takes the risk of damage.

I parked here a few times and my experience was good. The shuttle to and from the airport is fast and drivers were polite. The only thing that bothered me when I first parked here was the location of this lot. I felt the location of this lot and the road leading to it was confusing and creepy.

I cant emphasize this enough — USE SNAP PARKING instead — better location, car parked indoors, better service, better price than this ripoff outfit. Plus everything left in my car was there when I returned.

They stole my GPS and wont call back to discuss
Well, after posting here, received a contact from the owner who advised they would look into this as they take these things seriously.
Because after a nine hour flight delay and an 8.5 hour flight, my wife and I didnt feel like we had enough abuse, so we decided to stick around park plus for a little fun.
After the owner played the typical blame the victim game, are you sure it was in your car? (no I only used it to get there) and you probably took it out in your carry on (yes, I flew with it to London and left it there), Larry asked me for the details of my arrival and departure so he could view a video to see what happened.
After providing the details, I received a response that the employees who handled my car are trustworthy and wouldnt do such a thing. While that may be the case multiple employees work there and had access to my car for the week. Anyway, long story longer, I never received a response as to what was seen on the video or if it was viewed at all despite my asking what was seen on the tape.
I was then lastly informed that as it could not be proven my GPS was stolen, my claim would be denied, much like the guy whose car was damaged and received no compensation (see photos page). Then they fell back on the fact that it states they are not responsible for items left in car. Dont you wish you could go through life with a little ticket that absolves you of everything simply because it states you are not responsible? By the way, that little statement that you are not responsible is not legally true… but thats another story
Then they said they were open to a reasoanble settlment and we asked for our parking to be credited to put toward the cost of a new gps. That was denied but they would comp our next visit. Well why in the world would I go there again. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice…
On a plus side, an employee there offered to allowme to use his GPS (which was an awfully nice gesture). However, getting it back to him isnt worth the cost we could apply toward a new GPS. But one would think if I was looking to scam PArk Plus out of something, I could have just taken his GPS and been gone.
In sum, it sucks to come back from a trip, have your property stolen out of your car and get nowhere when you are being reasonable about it (asking our parking to be comped is pretty reasoanble in my opinion). Crediting us for the parking that week would have been a good will gesture and covered ¾ ofthe cost of a new GPS. Instead, they opted to take the cheap and non customer friendly way out.
Final point of interest, I was also advised they have had no instances of theft in 18months which I find very hard to believe. What business (any business) has no episodes of theft in 18 months. Anyway, if you lookdown below, there is apost from a woman who had money stolen out of her car a few months ago.
Im 45 and have a good job, Im not inthe business of scamming electronic devices out of parking lots. The good news is I work for a big insurance company with offices in NY, NJ and PA and will do my best to make sure the public and my coworkers who are travelling know about this situation. Like the guy whose car was damaged stated, park at your own risk. They will rip you off given the chance.
Thieves

I’d parked with these guys in the past — great prices and decent people. Shuttle drivers, albeit a bit slow sometimes when arriving for pickups, were always friendly and sociable. However, I most likely won’t be parking there again after my most recent experience with them (June 8 — 16).
When I picked up my car on a Sunday morning, I found a 2 – 3 foot crack on the windshield. Went back inside and asked what exactly happened — the crack was definitely not there when I dropped it off. The attendant at the front desk took down my name, parking number, and contact info. He then said that a manager would be in contact with me shortly.
The call never came in after several days. So, I called the parking lot up and inquired about the status of the investigation. The manager that picked up told me that they had removed all recordings during the duration of my parking period. He further elaborated that it was impossible for them to damage my windshield, and thus could not do anything about it.
Considering the complete lack of timeliness and negligence on following up with my claim, as well as the standoffish nature of the manager I interacted with, I wouldn’t recommend this parking place to anyone else looking for a place close to EWR. Be very, very careful.
