Brioche and coffee served with a smile. Love this little joint. Nice people please patronize!

Best coffee I’ve had in the area and so much cheaper than Starbucks and dunkin donuts. Spinach brioche is fluffy and tasty. Don’t forget to stop and have a conversation with the guy at the register. He’s either talking about the giants or super heroes. He takes time to know your name and order and by trip number 2 he’ll have it memorized.

I’ve gotten nothing but excellent coffee and prompt service here. After a few visits they remembered my order and each morning for the past six months, same experience: terrific coffee and quick turnaround. The coffee brand, by the way, is Panache, a commercial brand for stores. They do have a display case with sandwiches, juices, sodas, banana pudding, brioche(!) and muffins, to name some of the to-go offerings. As a train station stand they are well-aware that customers at Newark Penn have many choices and trains to catch. They do what they do very well.

I have never tried their pastries, tho they look nice enough. This stand is of course all about coffee — which in this case is excellent. I don’t know what brand they are using but it is top notch. Worth a short wait in line — the train’s probably late anyway.

«Let them eat Brioche» says some dead French lady, and I couldn’t agree more, especially when eating at Express in Newark Penn. With about ten flavors of brioche, including cheese, coconut, apple, chocolate, and spinach, you’re bound to find one you like. These are the big ol’ brioche shaped like crowns, not some dinky crap brioche you’ve been conditioned to accept as normal. Besides a decent cup of coffee, this is pretty much all they sell. There are three people working in a coffin-sized newsstand – but they certainly keep busy with all the brioche-hungry patrons. They were really nice to me. I was overwhelmed with choices, so I got chocolate and spinach. They were both good, but I actually preferred the spinach! The world will probably explode soon. Where the hell is this place?
