Bugaboo Creek Steak House

arrived and in less then 8 minute’s we were seat, had our drink order in, got our drinks and placed our food order. We both got the wedge salads. Really fresh and delicious.
we got ordered the Caribou Chicken and amazing isn’t a good enough word!!! Great service. Great food. c’mon out. It’s a win win. And get yourself a Moose Juice too hmm mmm

I visited here while on a work trip with some co-​workers. This restaurant is probably the ultimate place for any hunter because they have mounted animal heads all over the walls and they have a dusty wood finish everywhere. I can honestly say the food was so sub-​par I barely remembered what I ordered and it was only less than a week ago. I’ll break this review down in a simple pros and cons list.
Pros:
— The drinks are very reasonably priced compared to the surrounding restaurants around the neighborhood. I ordered a mix drink and it came out a little under $ 8.
— They offer a free dessert when you check into Unilocal.
— The food portions are extremely large so you will always be able to take something home.
— The food is reasonably priced.
Cons:
— The waitress was probably the worst waitress I’d experienced in a long time. She had no people skills, wasn’t patient, rude, not professional and had no knowledge of what the restaurant offered. She always seemed to sound forced when she spoke to everyone and didn’t wait to get the rest of our drink orders because she was all over the place.
— The food quality was very poor and not memorable at all. I had to wreck my brain to remember what I ordered so I can give an honest review of the food.
— The drink I ordered was so weak that I questioned if they just gave me pineapple juice. I can now see why the drinks are probably so reasonably priced.

This place is a dump! The food is of poor quality and it appears the menu hasn’t been updated since they opened. This restaurant needs a face lift to entire menu, service, and décor. I would never come back here unless they did some major changes.

I drove all the way from Philadelphia to dine here with my daughter. I was a fan of the location at Franklin Mills.
The food was okay… nothing great, nothing exceptional. It’s not a place high on my list of places to return. Even if I were driving by there, there’s nothing that would compel me to go here as opposed to trying some place else.

We enjoyed eating here as a family. The kids liked the train and the talking moose. I liked the Blue Moose juice drink special and the skillet chocolate chip cookie with ice cream for dessert and my husband liked the Ribeye. He thought it had great flavor but could have used a sharper knife (nothing was too tough just not sharp). A little overpriced which is why I gave it 3 stars.

Meh, it was ok but I wouldn’t go back. Flavors weren’t bad but chintzy thin steaks. Best part was the free dessert with ‘check in’

Why is this place so awesome? I’m from out of state so I’ve never seen a bugaboo steakhouse before and I loved it. It’s basically like a longhorns steakhouse except with talking heads of animals. No one else seemed excited about that part except for us lol. The chicken salad was great.

They call this place a steakhouse, but the steak is just blah and not cooked to my specifications. The sides were horrible. How do they call this place a steakhouse if they can’t even get steak right???

The food was ok, definitely would not come back. The fries… soggy. The bread… hard and stale. The burger was ok. Service was ok, too. Best word to explain everything: «meh.» Went to leave and the bartender went missing for at least 20 minutes. Great place to sit at a bar and be depressed about your life.

I ordered a prime rib sandwhich and what I got was a cheesesteak. It’s was a good cheesesteak but it was not prime rib!

Fairly middle of the road steak house. I wasn’t that impressed with my food to be honest and I felt a bit like we were in a mill with them trying to get us in and out as quickly as possible. That being said, my son’s burger was quite delicious. If you want a burger, this is not a bad choice at all.

3 words; horrible costumer service.

We used to eat here 3 times a month or more. Food tonight was terrible. Place was almost empty. Now I understand why. I will not be back.

Service was great. Server Jake was attentive and helpful.
Atmosphere– the talking heads are pretty lame. I do not get it. My kids were not impressed.
Food. Gets a 0. My daughter ordered fish sticks (I know, random choice) and they were disgusting. I tried one to see if she was exaggerating and I couldn’t get past the second chew.
Decent beer selection.
Don’t understand why there were so many adults, using adult language at 5:30.
I will not return.

Meh. It’s a chain. Double date here tonight, and the only part I really enjoyed was the booze. Luckily you can’t really mess that up. I did appreciate the free dessert coupon for checking in on Unilocal though. My brother and fiancé both ordered the same steak, cooked exactly the same way, (medium rare). My fiancé’s steak was about medium, and my brother’s steak was white, it was so over done. The manager was nice enough to refire his steak, but by that point we were all just ready to leave. Cold sides, soggy fries and a long wait for mediocre food. I wouldn’t go back or recomend anyone try this place. Outback, tgi fridays, applebees; all similar places, and probably better, if chain food is your kinda thing. So, once again… meh.

WOW! Haven’t been here in awhile and I am pleased with the menu selection! The BBQ Chicken Nachos are AWESOME, the beers on tap were just to our liking and the entrees were delish! I had fish and chips, which my piece of fish was HUGE. My husband got the Black Magic Steak, it was very good… not a piece left on the plate. For dessert we enjoyed bananas foster. YUM Next time we will be back on a Tuesday night to enjoy kids eat free night with moxie the moose, face painting and balloons.
Danielle the manager is so accommodating and the staff is so friendly. The atmosphere is beautiful.

Visiting someone at the hospital across the street decided to give this place a shot despite last couple 2 star Unilocal ratings… Big mistake. Service ok — acceptable given 1 day after holiday. Order snowbird chicken Salad — disgusting. All lettuce none of the advertised good stuff like eggs bacon cheese etc. even worse — chicken was likely fried yesterday and then microwaved when I ordered it. Beer was cold. Agree another chain that thinks adding some moose stuff will really help them in the food department… go somewhere else or save your money

Another chain trying to put a spin on the same old stuff. The quality was average. The bar was out of the first two beers I tried to order. The salad my girlfriend had was a good size and she enjoyed it.
The talking moose was creepy as hell.

I was at the Pet Smart, which is located in the same shopping center. I decided to check this place out since my mom has been wanting to go.
There were fake animals on the walls and pictures of fisherman, fishing poles, things like that everywhere; with bear head puppets, the wait staff used to sing happy birthday to people (no joke — saw it.) The place seemed clean and for there being so many people it wasn’t that loud. I think the wood, which was everywhere, isolated the sound or something. The waitress seemed very rushed and didn’t seem too interested in my table. I mean our needs were met but defiantly just a 10% tip; I always tip more for better service.
My meal, the salmon just tasted like salmon; even though it said it was marinated in pineapple and soy sauce but I didn’t taste any of that. The veggies were still crunchy; I liked my steamed more. The mashed potatoes were great though; skins still in it. Since I checked in on Unilocal I got their ‘free dessert’ offer; I ordered their chocolate cheesecake (which wasn’t that great, there were 2 colors and one looked like it should have tasted like peanut butter but sadly, it did not.)
Overall it was just sort of a blah experience. I don’t know if I’d go back, maybe if I am in the area but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. Nothing special there.
