I like this place, it’s a bit pricey so I don’t eat here too often. They have great burgers and breakfast sandwiches. All of their ingredients are best quality. Their sirloin burger is top notch, from single animal grass fed beef. The vibe of the place is best when it’s slow. The natural light is good for downtown and they have a large abstract painting which fills the dining room wall. They have large wood tables which can accommodate 6 – 8 people but the whole place has seating for maybe 16. I don’t think there is a bathroom.

They make the best burger on the planet. Full stop. And the sweet potato fries are ridiculous.

Burgers were poor quality and didn’t taste good. I would prefer a McDonalds hamburger to this quality meat. Kobe beef my ass.

One star is one star too many for this sheetshow. Negative would mean they even made the scale. So I ordered a turkey burger and fries bc I was stuck at work late. It came late and with a bite of the patty missing. See photo for bite mark. I called and explained such, and was promised a replacement — mind you at that point I had no faith that the food would be to code. An hour later, after staying at the office longer than necessary, I called and the guy told me he forgot about my burger. So your food is unsanitary, if you can even remember to make it. Thanks for nothing!!! Don’t eat here unless you want to risk diarrhea.

Pretty good burgers but a bit overpriced for their size. Limited seating area which is understandable given the location.

The best burger I had is an understatement. I had mixed fries and ¼ Kobe burger and I was completely satisfied. I even got a free Calebs cola t shirt with the purchase of the soda.

I gave two stars because the employees were nice. The food on the other hand is flavorless and way too pricey. The fries were drowned in salt, I won’t recommend this place

When you walk by it smells great but I’ve eaten her a couple of time because the smell brings me in but this place is overpriced and flavorless. The guys making you mean are super nice and serve from the depta of there heart. But that does not change the fact that the burger meat has no life, no flavor, no taste. Its for the palateless tasters who don’t like spice, salt it flavor. They should take this joint and move it to um… Iowa. Wyoming, Idaho. It may do better there but I think they also eat bison and I’m pretty confident they season it to.

Not sure why this place doesn’t have better reviews. We’ve eaten here a handful of times(which is rare for us since we like to try out new places), and it is consistently fast service and scrumptious! The fries are great, and I’m in love with the bacon and cheeses on their burgers. Sure it’s a tad expensive, but it’s Kobe beef. Definitely worth a detour.

Got the ¼ sirlion with bacon, mushrooms, and grilled onions. One of my best burgers. Little pricey but awesome burgers.

Simply the best burger New York has to offer. Shake Shack, Bareburger, Smashburger, none of them have anything on this place. These burgers are single-sourced from upstate New York, they have perfectly grilled onions on top and aged cheddar, and organic tomatoes. For a little more you can get a Kobe beef burger. And as if that wasnt enough they are the only burger place in the city with an excellent, healthy, organic mixed green salad. I love this place and could eat here every day.

Just walked in for lunch. Had a Burger salad; was absolutely amazing. Fresh burgers grilled in front you, with frilled mushrooms, onions and juicy tomatoes, a perfect little place on Nassau and John, Financial District. You’ll love it.

$ 23 for one burger, one set of fries and no drink. The burger was nothing exceptional. I had my food delivered to my office, and I found that my fries were thrown in a brown paper bag, with no wrapping.

Zaitzeff NY Manhattan FiDi 7pm Friday 4th September 2015 Four Stars I have not seen or heard anything about this small burger joint but it’s definitely a hidden gem. I had the ¼ pound sirloin burger($ 10.95) + avocado($ 1.5) + bacon($ 2.5). The Portuguese muffin Bun was great alternative to usual bland meat holders. It’s crispy crust and lighter, sweeter inside held everything without fail. The burger was cooked medium, relatively big in size, but it was packed too tightly making it a little dry. There was no condiments on the burger. It does come with lettuce, tomato, and onion. The bacon and avocado were good additions. The $ 5 mixed fried were delicious and plentiful. There are skillet fried extra crispy. They don’t have any seasoning which I really like. The place is a no frills sort of place to get a decent burger. The only downside is its kind of expensive.

Went there then decided to try to be healthy thus chose the chicken salad with avocado. It is the most expensive grilled chicken salad I have ever had. Period. But it is probably my fault bc why go to a burger place for a salad.

Le burger végétarien est copieux et les frites savoureuses. Bien que la salle soit petite, on né se sent pas à l’étroit autour des larges tables de bois brut qui confèrent une belle atmosphère à ce fast-food. Le service est excellent.

Zaitzeff serves very good Kobe beef, sirloin, turkey, and veggie burgers — served on toasted Portuguese buns. Both the regular and sweet potato fries were served hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned(and not soggy). We especially enjoy the Kobe beef burgers, which are a bit fatty but very moist and flavorful. Be aware that the prices are expensive, as a ½ pound burger will cost nearly $ 17. The Nassau Street location in the Downtown Financial District of NYC is small and open, with three large tables with chairs and benches. It is, however, tastefully decorated and features a large contemporary abstract painting. It is a very nice and comfortable place to eat. Service was prompt, responsive, and polite. Overall, despite the relatively higher cost, this is definitely a place that I would recommend and suggest that you visit. Just be prepared to pay, but I think that you will enjoy your food.

Zaitzeff is a cute burger shop tucked away in the middle of the financial district. It’s warm and homey feel provides a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of downtown Manhattan. I’ve been sampling a ton of veggie burgers lately, and I would have to say that this is one of my favorites. The flavors in the veggie patty came together very nicely. I would, however, prefer less avocado. It’s too mushy and overpowering for my liking. Warning: some of the burgers can get pretty expensive, with prices as high as 19.50.(a veggie burger alone is 8.75)

If this burger joint doesn’t offer organic/non-GMO options, or have more than 3 giant tables for seating, there is absolutely no reason to price people beyond $ 10 a burger. None, what-so-ever. I only came for the fries, and although I loved the sweet potato fries, i didn’t like the ‘mix’ with regular fries that were dried out and over-salted. Service however was excellent, so no doubt in my mind that with a reality check on pricing, and smaller tables, this place could turn business around.
