Truly the only budget liquor store on the UES. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place one day. They have a good selection of wines and liquors at very reasonable prices. I’ll be back soon!

Been going here for years. Check out the wines by the register, they are usually on sale, and when looking at prices on the shelves, look for the red labels, those are the ones on sale. The staff here is amazing. Yes, you can find cheaper prices elsewhere, but Yorkshire is by far the best prices on the UES.

Remember, with reviews you need to think of things as apples to apples. Are you looking for some rare Anjou wine vintage? Someone to explain everything in the world about some grape you never heard of? Well, this ain’t your place.
Do you need to go to a store with a wide selection in every price range of wine and booze, get in a line with people who check you out fast and get out with your product… then yes, 5 stars.
Everyone is polite, the line moves fast, there is a huge selection and the prices are fair. No pretentious bs, no one there to tell what you are eating for dinner and ask how you ought to pair it, just go in, browse, grab and buy.
Perfect place for it.

Unreliable. I ordered wine for delivery and it was never delivered. No phone call to explain or to say it couldnt be done. After i waited an hour, i called and their phones were off.

One of my favorite wine shops in the city – and certainly the best on the UES. Low prices w deep selection and the occasional hard-​to-​find bottle.
Been coming in so frequently lately – just to see what great find I can stumble across – that they know me and what I want from the minute I enter.
They don’t have everything, but I’ve found bottles that couldn’t be immediately acquired at Astor, Sherry-​Lehmann or other top shops.

Good selection of wines. Nice prices on booze, amongst the lowest in the area. Always have multiple registers open so never have to wait. Once I bought a bottle of wine that my wife said turned (but I think she just didn’t like it) and they exchanged it no questions asked with a smile. Great service, only complaint is they could be open later, but oh well.

This is, in my opinion, the best booze shop in Yorkville. The best prices and selection out of the many Yorkville wine and liquor shops. They obviously handle a large clientele as they have 3 – 4 registers open at peak hours. Plenty of single and double-​bottle wine options, a large selection of chilled white wines in the back, and a great booze selection. Never feel pressured to make a quick purchase and leave, and the store is plenty big to roam around and browse.

Yorkshire Wine & Spirits is awesome. The prices are comparable to the East Village’s Warehouse Wine & Spirits, which is by far the best priced liquor store I’ve found in Manhattan. I’ve only come in for wines so far, and they have a nice selection of reasonably priced white Burgundy’s, my favorite. They also card religiously — a welcome policy for us 30 year olds.

I love this wine & liquor shop! There are a lot of under $ 20 wine options and that includes a selection of the classy large bottles; if you’re going to have as much wine as I do, you gotta be thrifty! There are more expensive options as well, though I usually ignore those until there are celebrations and presents to be bought. Everyone that works there is super nice and won’t judge you if they see you a few days in a row or for buying $ 7.99 wine (on sale!).
There’s cold champagne and white wines in the fridge at the back. There’s also a loyalty card — just ask, they’re happy to process your application on the spot.
There are lots of liquor store options in the area but this one is definitely my favorite.

Excellent selection of wines — I’m particularly partial to finding Dave Matthews’ Dreaming Tree wine at a reasonable price — and fair deals.
The staff is there to ring you up, so you’re basically on your own when it comes to locating the libation of your choice.

The other day I came home with yet another Yorkshire Wine and Spirits bag and my husband asked if they know me by name yet. No, they don’t, and it’s a shame. But I’m sure they’d recognize me (and my super cute dog). Here’s what to like about Yorkshire Wine and Spirits: It’s cheaper than other neighborhood places. I’ve compared the grocery store brands of wine here and the other wine shop near-​ish to my home, and this place beats the prices by $ 2 – 3. Though this place is a one big block and one little block further from my apartment, I head here whenever I am buying something for myself.
If I need a gift or am trying to buy something special for some purpose, I will swing by Vintage Grape, because I think their staff is more knowledgeable/​helpful, but 9 out of 10 purchases, Yorkshire Wine and Spirits wins my business and I loooove them.

This liquor and wine shop has a pretty wide selection and decent prices. If you’re looking for wine, always check the secondary displays by the entrance and those stacked on boxes in the center of the store first before going to the shelves. These are usually sales. I once found a Sterling Merlot, normally $ 20/​bottle, for $ 12.99. Score! There is one Spanish wine from Jumilla called Juan Gil that’s $ 12.99 regularly now (this wine has easily gone for $ 17.99 elsewhere in the city… though not many places carry it). It’s one of my favorites.
There are certain brands, though, that have newer flavors not carried here, like Smirnoff Caramel or Smirnoff Iced Cake. So I can’t find everything I want here. But this is NYC… space is limited, and I get that. The staff is also very friendly. Overall, you can’t go wrong shopping here.

Great wine and liquor selection for all price ranges. This is also probably one of the best priced stores in the neighborhood too. My only complaint is the staff almost never asks if I need help even when I am clearly wandering around clueless.

My absolute favorite place to shop for wine in the neighborhood! They have a huge wine selection with prices ranging from $ 5 and up. My favorite is Sauvignon Blanc, and you can find a GREAT bottle for under $ 7 with 13.5% alcohol. (Yes alcohol percentage is an important factor when deciding on which white to buy.) Vodka is reasonably priced also with a wide selection. Did you know there is Swedish Fish flavored vodka?
I came in recently and bought 3 wines and 1 liquor, and they gave me a cute reusable tote with bottle separators inside to carry my loot home in :)

Not much of a wine drinker/​buyer, more of a spirits guy.
That said, Yorkshire has a great selection of spirits, for really good prices.
I’ve been to a number of places, both local to here and on Long Island, and I haven’t found lower prices.
Our go-​to liquor store, for sure.

Big store with a huge selection. They have everything from high end expensive bottles of wine (bordeaux/​French) to low end inexpensive wines.
The aisles are a difficult to maneuver but I am sure they didn’t think of how a baby carriage would fit when they were configuring the store.

Just envision one large room packed the rafters with liquor. No, not my apartment, but Yorkshire Wines & Spirits.
They have a really nice selection of wines, liquor, and champagne. From the high end stuff to the rot-​gut cheapo brands. Every price range to fit your budget. They have different offers and sales occasionally, and are open until 10PM Mon-​Sat.
Staff for the most part is pretty knowledgeable and can offer decent wine selections. They will deliver to the area but it is also based on how much is spent —
Orders $ 30+ (pre-​tax) = FREE delivery
Orders under $ 30 = $ 10 flat delivery fee
Overall, a decent liquor store serving the UES area.
