Le Grand Triage

Le Grand Triage is a breath of fresh air to the upper east side. The owner is enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable about wines, cocktails, and having a good time! This place only just opened, but already has incredible potential to be an amazing spot to socialize. They are working on turning the downstairs into a private lounge area, and already have amazing tastings and social events making Le Grand Triage so much more than just a wine store!

Eric was absolutely fabulous! He was so knowledgable about wines and gave my coworkers and I a private wine tasting of new world wines versus old world wines. I learned so much and want to come back with all of my friends. Apart from a great class, the store is beautiful! Highly recommend it.

What a fantastic find on the Upper East Side. I recently took a wine class at Le Grand Triage with some coworkers and loved everything about it. Somm-​in-​residence Eric showed us the differences between new and old world wines in three side-​by-​side comparisons, and explained everything from wine production and harvest, to the fermentation process, to tasting notes you’re actually able to recognize. Plus, he tells hilarious jokes! The store itself (including the renovated basement) is also really beautiful and would make for a great venue for events. I’ll definitely be back soon!

Took one of the wine classes and I actually learned something. Netflix and chill will never be the same.

Last night I took a wine class at Le Grand Triage that explored the differences between the Old and New World wines. The somm in residence Eric was fantastic! He had clear, in-​depth knowledge of wines, and was very well spoken and funny too! The 2 hours spent there flew by as we enjoyed our 3 flights of wine.
Not only were Eric and the wines he chose fantastic, but the store itself is beautiful as well. Definitely looking forward to taking another class there!

Le Grand Triage was my first real step into the wine education world, and I am HOOKED! The sommelier in residence, Eric Rydin took our class on an incredible trip to the battlegrounds of old world and new world wines. I half expected a boastful lecture on the analysis and expertise of wine (As I had received before at various California vineyards), but Eric surprisingly did not venture into those dirty waters. He mentioned briefly his humble beginnings and led us on a playful journey to the fascinating intricacies that not just sommeliers can enjoy, but everyone one of us could enjoy.
It was a bit of a trip for me as I’m normally not venturing far from downtown, but it was worth it.
Mark my words Eric.
I shall return to Le Grand Triage.
