Uri Levy, DMD

I have been going to Dr. Levy’s for a few years now. He is the best dentist in the city. I’m usually in and out in less than 1 hour. I have VERY sensitive teeth so trust me when I say this is the dentist you want.
The professionalism and efficiency of everyone in his office is also outstanding.

Great service and very friendly staff. The Hygienist Ms. Kristen really took her time cleaning my teeth and did such a great job. I definitely recommend Doctor Levy and Kristen. Thank so much guys!

Dr. Levy and his staff are the best in the business. I’ve been a patient of his for over 10 years. Not only is Dr. Levy very competent, but he’s caring and compassionate. He also «tells it to you straight»…no more, no less. His entire staff… receptionists, hygienist and assistants… are top notch (professional, courteous and friendly). I highly recommend Dr. Levy!

I’ve been going to Dr. Levy for the past three years and have nothing but good things to say.
Visits to the dentist aren’t my favorite thing in the world, but I always leave my appointments with Dr. Levy in a great mood. The staff is great and so, so friendly. The receptionists, office managers, dental hygienists… everyone is always helpful and friendly. It’s nice to walk in for an 8am appointment on a Monday and be greeted with smiles.
Highly recommend Christine or Danielle for a cleaning. They do a terrific job and are so sweet.

dr. levy came highly recommended & i wasn“t disappointed. i found him to be very professionalwith a great bedside manor. after a very through examination he told me in great detail what had to be done. dr levy did the work in a timely manor. he explained to me every step as he did the work

Went to Dr. Levy for the first time through a referral. In short had an excellent experience and I am happy to refer them to my friends and colleagues.
My experience from the front staff (Jessica) to the hygienist (Danielle) to Dr. Levy was just superior. The appointment was exactly on-​time (literally zero wait time) and Dr. Levy spent a great deal of additional time consulting with me on a procedure (veneer) I was considering and event performed some minor alternative treatments while I was there to see if could potentially avoid the procedure.
I felt that he was very genuine in wanting to do the right thing for the patient — which helped create what I think will be a long standing and trusting relationship.

The best dentist I have ever been too. He was very gentle, and my mouth feels so clean… No cavities :-) but it was also very reasonable priced

After not going to a dentist for 5 years but taking great care of my teeth, I found Dr Levy through my office. During my exam he said my teeth looked great but I had a small cavity in a lower left tooth. I was surprised since I hadn’t been feeling any discomfort in that tooth.
I went back a few weeks later for a filling. It started with him sticking the needle with Novocain directly into my nerve which was so painful I almost shot through the ceiling. That had never happened with other dentists. I’ve had a few fillings in my life, but none had ever taken so long and was so uncomfortable. A month afterwards I still couldn’t open my jaw all the way without pain. And now, 3 months later I can’t chew on my left side without shooting pain where the filling is and even my upper tooth above it. I fear this is now a permanent problem.

I LOVE Dr. Levy. I have been going to him for about 6 years now and have always felt very comfortable in his care. He is thorough, gentle and clearly explains his recommendations with me. He has a great team on his side too!

This is my second review of Dr. Uri Levy. Unfortunately my first one was «filtered» because apparently it was too positive and it was «flagged» as a «solicited» review.
I recommend Dr. Levy highly. I will try not to oversell him to avoid being filtered again. But the bottom line is he is a great dentist that cares about the health and welfare of his patients. I have been going to his practice for almost a decade. Friends, family and co-​workers have all gone here and he has yet to disappoint anyone of them.
His staff is great and his offices are clean and up to date. Even the workers of the building on the ground floor make you feel welcome as soon as you walk into the lobby.
I highly recommend this office to anyone that needs a dentist or simply a professional opinion. He has turned me away on occasion and recommended a fellow professional in cases where he wasnt the best option for my dental work.

Dr Levy has an amazing staff, they are polite, friendly, and attentive. Dr Levy himself is very accomodating, keeps his appointments, and works with you wen you need it.
People may confuse his abrupt and candid attitude but the truth is he wastes no time with trivial formalities and gets right down to it. If you need your ass kissed this may not be the place for you.

I have been going to Dr. Levy for the past two years, and I have to say that I could not have had better experiences. His front desk office staff is absolutely amazing as well as his hygienists. I have always had trouble with my teeth (cavities, root canals) and he made me feel so at ease while treating me. His office is super conveniently located, and has a really home-​y feel to it. From my experiences, Dr. Levy is truly professional and reliable. I am still impressed every time I walk out of his office.

I have been going off an on to Dr Levy for years, the off only because I wasnt in the country and I have had no problems with him at all. The staff are fabulous and Dr Levy always remembers me (it was 3 years since the last time I was there) and if there is an alternative to a costly procedure he will discuss the options. I had a crown put in and it just wanst sitting right so I went in emergency like and he fixed it for me. I you are looking for someone that will actually listen then this is the place.

Before visiting the dentist, I am usually a little nervous, however, when I walked into Dr. Levy’s office, I was greeted by a very friendly staff who immediately made me feel at ease. While I was in the dental chair, Dr. Levy was very reassuring and friendly. He explained what he thought would be best for me, gave me several options, and explained how they could be done with mininal discomfort, and in the least amount of office visits. I’m happy to be a patient of Dr. Levy. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Levy saw me almost immediately for a dental emergency w/​o an appt. great staff very professional, accommodating and courteous. Dr. Levy was wonderful, answered all of my questions and was able to rectify my dental problem that day. I highly recommend Dr. Levy to anyone seeking dental treatment.

I’ve been going to Dr. Levy for almost seven years, and initially really liked him. However, as time passed, I felt like he started to become more abrupt and unfriendly. Then, when I began to have pain in one of my teeth, he refused to investigate beyond an xray and stated that there were no problems. Come to find out (after a second opinion, a ton of pain and trouble later) that my nerve was dying, and I had a large infection.
I was also not told by him that it was possible to do a root canal through a bridge without having to replace it. I would have had to pay thousands of dollars to him unnecessarily. Thankfully my new dentist, Dr. Lim (thank you Unilocal sending me his way) is fantastic!
However, it should be noted, that his staff is wonderful, and have always been warm and helpful.

So as my time under Time Warner insurance was running out because we were all about to get laid off if we didn’t do something quick, I decided that I needed a check up for mah teeth as I haven’t had one in about a year or so. I just wanted the nearest dentist I could find, and I called up Time Warner’s resident nurse, the nicest lady in the world.
She suggested Dr. Levy who was only about a block and a half away. It’s a pretty convenient midtown location actually, nearby the yellow and F trains on 57^th. Anywho, the office was really nice and as I came in, I actually was able to have a conversation with a woman who had worked at Miramax and new people at New Line a long time ago. We reminisced about people we mutually knew (which was very slight due to the fact that her era was before mine) but she had been a patient of Dr. Levy’s for a while now and seemed really at ease with the staff, who was incredibly nice (as most private practice staff are).
I have no qualms about dentists really or going to them, I don’t mind at all. As Krasinski said in Smiley Face, it’s a place where they take care of you in a sense, your teeth are going to be taken care of. Which is true, but I can understand how it’s nervewracking to a lot of people. Maybe it’s because I had a lot of cavities when I was little so all those hilarious procedures are kind of over (haven’t had one in years). My wisdom teeth pulling was a lot of fun and hilarious for me.
Dr. Levy’s practice is fairly sleek, the sitting room is small but the staff is fairly talkative, but the hygienist was about my age so all we talked about were bars and what kinds of night spots we liked to go to and discussed Bay Ridge at length while she was making my gums bleed (I feel good that I’ve taken up flossing again, because I just realized how bad it looks to these guys).
Dr. Levy came away from looking at my mandibles with the correct answer: everything looks fine. I’m sure there’s a bunch of things that he could tell, such as how much alcohol, cheese, and diet soda I consume, but whatever. He’s a nice man, fairly compact with a friendly smile and not really intimidating or anything, he is at ease with his profession and how he does it.
So what gives this four stars (because nothing compares to Dr. Bradley upstate in Albany)? The fact that they sent me a birthday card.
