Plenty of nuts and dry fruits~Really nice little place~Bought the omega 3 mix, the nuts are not dry enough somehow and the promegranate seeds is kind of disturbing, but like the dry cranberrie inside.

The order I placed two weeks ago finally arrived today. 8 phone calls, and a lot of polite excuses, were exchanged, but the order has indeed arrived, and with a bunch of extras as compensation for the hassle. I love Nutbox products, I’m happy that there was a conciliatory gesture made on their part, and the people I actually spoke with and have met in the stores are wonderful. I hope they can get their online ordering act together, because if they do there would be no reason for anyone in the country to get nuts, coffee, rice crackers — or anything they sell — anywhere else…

I can’t remember the last time in the past 5 years I wasn’t on a self-​proclaimed «diet,» but this is the first time I’m taking it seriously. So I decided to get some healthy stuff to snack on.
Pros:
–You’ll get a good deal, especially on the nuts. I stopped at about 3 other places that were twice as expensive. 1 pound bag of dry roasted almonds was $ 7.
— Great selection & quality. They have 10 different types of almonds alone, so there’s a good chance you’ll find what you’re looking for. I highly recommend the dried Turkish apricots, they’re delish.
Cons:
–The cashier woman wasn’t helpful or friendly. I was the only one there, so I assumed she would ask to help me, but instead she just sat there filing her nails. Kinda rude.
–Very small location.

Trying to refrain from loosely referring to that «Slap Chop» infomercial, but I can’t help it: You’re going to love their nuts… and dried fruit!
I bought a bag of sugar-​free chocolate covered almonds and a bag of dried pears. Their sugar-​free chocolate covered almonds were deliciously addictive for being sugar-​free and strange-​aftertaste-​free.
Being a hater when it comes to pears, the only time I’ll eat ‘em are when they’re dried. Nutbox’s dried pears were soft and not overly sweet. Fiber never tasted so good. Mmmm.
Everything in the shop sure looks tasty, specifically, the trail mix. I didn’t buy a bag the last time I visited, but the Rocky Mountain Mix and Berry Nutty Mix were standouts.
The price of a bag of trail mix is almost comparable to a bag you can buy at Trader Joe’s. Depending on your choice of mix, prices range from $ 4.99-$ 6.99 for a pound. Dried pears are $ 6.99 a pound, and the sugar-​free almonds were around the same price a pound — if I’m not mistaken. The cost might be a tad much, but you’re paying for the quality and taste.

Dried spicy mangoes. Enough said.

I went to the original one on Smith Street in Brooklyn, a bigger space but this little shop in Chelsea Market is packed with the goodies.
This time around, ended up buying the butter-​toffee cashews, annoyingly addictive! I like this shop mainly for the coated nuts; the veggie chips are real good and their dried fruits don’t have that heavy sulfate preservative taste I’ve found some other places to have.
Yes, I’m a fan of it.

Did some browsing here, and I hesitate to say this (because I assume there are Unilocalers out there who are as immature as I am,) I really love nuts. They’re filling, easy to carry around and taste good (again, something I hesitate to write.) The Nutbox has a wide selection of nuts as well as bulk items to make your own mixes. They’re reasonably priced, even factoring in the location where the shop is in.
I decided not to buy anything though because the youngster ‘working’ the store was too busy to greet us, too busy to ask if we were finding everything all right or needed help or too busy to say goodbye as we walked out.
Too busy=talking on the phone about her friend who apparently was encroaching on her boy or her boy encroaching on her friend. I basically stopped caring about it here.

they’ve got NUTS, CANDY, CHOCOLATES, & DRIED FRUIT… IF you were fooled by their name from the get go!
i probably should have gotten the nuts. since the name implies that might be their specialty… BUT i was in the mood for nice chewy dried fruits. so i opted for the dried papaya chunks instead.
BOY WERE THEY DRY. i don’t know how long those fruits had been sitting in their pre-​packaged bags. but this dried fruit was so stale it was almost powdery… perhaps the nuts would be fresher?!!

My fiancé is addicted to this nuts and dried fruit specialty shop. His favorites are the jalapeño pistachios and the chili-​lime pistachios.
Plus: they always have tasty samples when we go (usually Saturdays). And they are not stingy with them, so you can enjoy all the corn nuts or dried apricots or asian snack mix while you shop around!!!

Yeah, so they sell nuts and dried fruits here. What else can I say that already hasn’t been said? Plenty! So put your nuts in your sac and listen up.
First, the trail mix bags are sugarless there is no extra need to add any junky stuff.
So I see all the raw nuts and I spy in the corner of my little eye a Spanish nut called Marcona Almonds. Now this nut is a class above other almonds. These almonds are called the Queen” of almonds and are first roasted in olive oil then sprinkled with sea salt. This is a score based on price. Its a great item to serve with chesse (look over to the other side and go to Lucys Whey) and wine.
Excellent place to grab a healthy snack!

Nice little shop. Bought some large jars of spices here at reasonable prices (for Manhattan). Love their wasabi peas. Definitely think everything is of good quality here.

This is a great place to grab snacks on the go. I normally grab the trail mix and head up to the Highline. The prices are very reasonable. I saw a review that said that said it was «Outrageously Expensive». I don’t think $ 4 for a big bag of Wasabi Peas is expensive. Have you been to Food Emporium?
They have a great selection of nuts, peas, dried fruit and trail mix. This location is pretty small compared to the one in Greenwich Village, but it still has everything you need.

All types of nuts. Salty nuts, baked nuts, Cajun nuts, chocolate covered nuts, corn nuts, mixed nuts, hot nuts, seasoned nuts, raw nuts, spicy nuts, candied nuts, sweet nuts. I love them in my mouth.
Wait? WTF did I just proclaim? Sounds pretty dirty to me. But I just love chewing on some tasty nuts. Wait!!! What??? This sounds worse!!!
Anyway, this place has all type of nuts and things to snack on. Holiday Gifts, Nuts, Dried Fruit, Snacks & Mixes, Chocolate & Yogurt Candies, Natural Seeds, Honey Products, Organic Nuts Seeds, Organic Dried Fruit, Coffee Beans and more. Can get a bit pricey, but nuts are expensive to begin with. Located in the Chelsea Market along with dozens of other cool places to shop.
In fact, I’m chewing on some tasty nuts right now. What did I just say? Holy crap this whole review sounds bad!

Love this place! It’s not just nuts but they sell herbal spices, gummy candy and hot beverages (coffee, tea). Please stop by this place… just a warning, you will be overwhelmed at first when you walk in with the amount of selection that this place provides.

Outrageously expensive, but pretty awesome you can get roasted unsalted hazelnuts here (great for hazelnut butter). Also their cashew butter and peanut butters are delicious! I got some pine nuts from here for pesto and they were $ 7.99 for a tiny little container. Great selection of trail mixes, yogurt pretzel, chocolate covered everything, etc. and lovely staff.

five stars for:
yogurt raisins, yogurt pretzels (salty and sweet combo = awesome.), corn nuts, heart healthy nut mix, sheer variety of goodies that’ll take me the whole summer to explore
four stars for:
pistachio baklava — not enough of a pistachio flavor imo, and a little bit too sweet. but texture is PERFECT. flaky top layers, soft syrupy bottom layers.
also, not sure about the 8^th street location, but the make your own trail mix nuts tend to be a little stale compared to the prepackaged mixes.
three stars for:
honey nut granola. good flavor (i like the extra nuttiness the sunflower seeds bring), but the texture is all wrong. i like crunchy granola. this is more. chewy? i want to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it’s intentional and not just stale.

You can make your own trail mix here for about $ 6 a pound, which is ½ the price you can get it at a bodega and ²⁄₃ the price of Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Garden of Eden, etc… That alone is reason to trek over to Chelsea Market.
When you make your own trail mix, peanuts can be exempt and almonds get maximized — raw, dry roasted, salted, booya.
I also buy a pound of wasabi peas for $ 3, another deal of the day.

Pretty cool little shop.

This latest outpost of The Nut Box just opened November 1 and like its Brooklyn location, it sells a variety of dried fruits, vegetables and nuts. There is also a spice shop adjacent called (I think) The Spice Box. Stop in for the usual almonds and trailmixes as well as more unusual items like nut butters, goji berries, dried green beans, vegetable chips and a couple of varieties of dried figs. Because they are not yet accepting credit cards, make sure you bring cash.
