The Dubliner is a chill and nice Irish bar in the financial district. We like to throw events there for a group. There’s a lot of space and it’s not too busy so it’s good for us to get drinks easily from the bar. They also have a great selection of spirits, wine and beer. The bar food is pretty delicious too I have tried the wings and fries. They make a good old fashion cocktail. A great spot to catch up with a friend, have a happy hour and just a gathering!

Always get drinks at the bar-very convenient living on wall st. BBQ wings are huge and pretty tasty. I also ordered the Dubliner Burger which was burnt and uneatable. Probably wouldn’t try the food here again with all the other wonderful restaurants on stone street.

A wee bit of me is Irish, but not Irish enough to count(1⁄8th Irish to be exact), and on a recent business trip the Dubliner was one of the few places open on a Sunday night. I got there just before 8pm for dinner. I was hoping to meet a bunch of Irish people, or those of descent to chat with. The place was quiet. There was one group in the dining area and the bartender was talking with a customer, who I determined later was her boyfriend. I sat myself at the bar and I had to wait a few minutes to get served. I ordered a Guiness and a bowl of Irish stew. The menu had a few irish dishes on it, but it was mostly americanized. I’d like to see more irish content. First the waitress didn’t really know how to pour a guiness. She didn’t let it sit long enough and it was delivered to me with over an inch of head on it. I was able to watch the simpsons while waiting for my food. The stew showed up, and it was darn good, or I was really hungry or a combination of the two. The presentation was a little different that what I was accustomed to with a dollop of mashed in the middle of the stew. Next the stew tasted quite good, the meat had a slight taste to it as if a small amount of curry powder was added to the mix. Being part Indian I can appreciate the fusion. Neither of these are complaints — just observations. The former was an interesting change of presentation and the latter was a unique twist on taste and flavour. The food was good — above average. Service was light. Not sure if I’d repeat, since there are a couple of other Irish places in the area to try out as well.

Came here with some co-workers a few weeks ago and was less than impressed. we ordered a few appetizers and a handful of drinks and the service was terrible. bar was not at all crowded and the waitress took 10 – 15 minutes to bring back our drinks, doesnt take that long to pour 4 – 5 beers. the food tasted like it was right out of the freezer from Costco and messed up the order. couldnt identify which wings were hot or medium. they were both the same. This took 30 minutes to come out. in the mean time, ordering more drinks took too long. so long in fact that we started ordering from the bar instead. Then they added a mandatory 20% tip to the tab, even with the slow service. I get it with a restuarant and a sit down dinner that restaurants do that. but she was completely ambivalent to our existence. All she did was bring a few trays of food over and a few rounds of drinks. Seems to be a bit presumtuous that she thinks she deserved that much. with the amount of bars and restuarants in the vicinity, i woudlnt go there. too many other opportunities for decent food and friendly /quality service. only reason i didnt give it one star was because it wasnt a total disaster.

Do not eat here. I came here for brunch with my Mother. We were happy to see they had Colcannon on the menu and we both ordered it. Big mistake! Instead of Colcannon what was served was a plate of bland corned beef with a side of mediocre mashed potatoes and a side of vegetables that consisted mainly of zucchini and broccoli. Very disappointing :( When we complained to the server that there wasn’t even any cabbage on the plate she said maybe the kitchen was running low on cabbage and that she would check. She came back with a side of cabbage that was very greasy and bland. Now I’m Irish(American) and I know Irish food is not renowned for having super complex flavor profiles, but hello, they could have used some salt & pepper on it… We tried to eat it, but it was terrible, we wouldn’t have minded so much if it had at least been a halfway decent corned beef dinner, but it was awful. We ended up asking for the manager because the food was so disappointing and the server brought the check with no discount applied. We explained to the manager that we were very disappointed that 1. we ordered Colcannon and were not served colcannon and 2. that the corned beef dinner that was served instead was not good at all and that we couldn’t believe they wanted us to pay full price for a meal that not only was awful, but was not what we ordered. She stubbornly insisted that all the owners are from Ireland and that it’s their version of Colcannon. I’m Irish on both sides of my family, I’ve eaten in Irish restaurants all over the country as well as restaurants in Ireland(I’ve taken multiple trips to Ireland). This is hands down the worst Irish restaurant I’ve ever had the misfortune of eating at. The owners of this establishment should be ashamed to be calling what we were served Colcannon.

My wife and i ordered the steak. It came out on a sizzling plate. which continues to cook and burn your steak(not a good thing). We both agreed the steak was horrible. No flavor and perhaps was a dairy cow. The sides were mashed potatoes and cut vegetables. They were bad as well.

Really enjoyed the burger. It was seared well on the outside and medium rare in the inside. I will definitely be back.

Had modest hopes for this place. Playing tourist on a Sunday in the city. Had many choices near this place but one of our group wanted Irish. Wait staff was slow. Fish sandwich was poorer quality than McDonald’s. Prices were high even for NYC. Even the restroom was below par. Don’t bother with this place.

Drinks yes, food no. If you’re looking for a place to throw back with some co-workers this place is decent. Prices are comparable to other places in the area. Food is pretty basic at best, think airport restaurant quality. And the service for lunch can be nonexistent. If you’re lucky enough to get an attentive waiter, you’ll be fine. If not better make it a three martini lunch because you’ll be there for a while and likely receive something you didn’t order(generally so hungry you just take it at that point).

We stumbled into the Dubliner on a Saturday at dinner time to find wonderful outdoor seating in front of the restaurant. We grabbed one of the last tables for two underneath the string lights wrapped up and down Stone St. The restaurant was very crowded with a mix of people enjoying drinks and dinner. Our waitress never brought us a drink list, but that honestly didn’t matter because she had such an impressive knowledge of the drinks and large variety of beers the bar had. We went with two of her Irish beer recommendations and were thrilled we did! To start, I tried the french onion soup which was absolutely delicious. The cheese was ample and the broth was perfectly salty. What a way to start a great meal! I had the grilled salmon with broccoli risotto and my boyfriend went for the traditional bangers and mash. The salmon was a very generous portion and was perfectly cooked while the risotto was absolutely delicious! My boyfriend loved his bangers and mash and couldn’t stop saying he wanted to come back and try the other traditional Irish fare. I would rate it 5 stars, but unfortunately, the service was too terrible to give it the full 5. We had to go to the bar to get refills of water and beer because the wait was simply too long. Our waitress appeared to be the only waitress servicing all the outside tables. which explains the long waits and poor service. Regardless of the poor service, the food was wonderful and the atmosphere is both relaxing and fun. We will be back!

I came for lunch today and nothing was satisfying apart from the location. Pity because it’s a really nice bar! The staff were nice but need to pull it together and recognize new faces sat at their tables. The hostess should communicate better with her co workers. The couple at the table next to me were served after I was and sat down before me, this is already a problem considering I waited 5−10mins to be greeted, god knows how long they did. I ordered the meatloaf sandwich with salad, only because of how it was described on the menu«house prepped sirloin, cheese, chipotle mayo etc…» it may well be that but my dog has had better from a Pedigree can. It looked like it was chewed up and minced together into a patty from mc Donald’s breakfast for $ 15 I’m pretty sure they are covered for the next month of meatloaf supplies if that’s the quality all the time. I still tipped the correct amount because the server shouldn’t suffer for the kitchens mistakes even tho they were all over the place… The guy should have also asked was everything ok with the food when the table was cleared noticing that half the sandwich was untouched. I nearly forgot about the Irish coffee the only thing that kept my faith

After checking out the menu at several restaurants on Stone Street, which is a super charming pedestrian street with twinkling lights strung up in between the buildings, we chose to eat at the Dubliner. We popped inside to see if a hostess could seat us, but someone said we could just sit down. We grabbed a table along the sidewalk and waited and wait and waited and waited. Finally, I stood up to go inside to see if a server was available and spoke with the one server we had seen outside, who then ended up serving our table. She had walked by several times, and I’m not sure why, but just ignored us. Maybe it was miscommunication with another server or something, but it didn’t start out great. After that, service returned to normal and was decent. The food is basically standard pub fare with the addition of some Irish dishes. We each ordered a drink and our food. I went with the portobello mushroom panini. They used a bread that stood up to the juices of the portobello mushroom, so it wasn’t soggy at all. It is a nice experience to sit outside and dine on Stone Street, and I would say the Dubliner is pretty average.

My dad and I were walking around the financial district trying to find somewhere to eat and we stumbled upon this place! The atmosphere is incredible; I love the lights strung above our heads(probably a summer-only thing though)! I had the veggie burger and it’s a lot of veggie just rolled into a patty shape there wasn’t really a burger consistency. It wasn’t bad, just not my cup of tea. My dad enjoyed his Shepard’s pie. I would recommend this place simply for the atmosphere.

We came here for brunch and were a little disappointed in the food. I really enjoyed the fact that all of their brunch items were $ 18(exception being the crab benedict) and that they all included an alcoholic beverage. We got the bloody mary and it was really tasty, a great bloody mary mix! I ordered the crab benedict and was so incredibly disappointed in the egg itself, it was over cooked to the point that the yolk was completely solid very reminiscent of a hard boiled egg. We also ordered the shepherds pie which was absolutely delicious. I’m truly not a fan of shepherd’s pie and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The inside was very similar to a chilli but it had great flavor and was truly delicious. We were able to sit outside on the street and it was such a lovely day that it made the whole experience that much better.

Great pub in lower Manhattan with a large select of beer on tap and a nice variety of traditional and non traditional pub food. This is near my office and when I go for lunch I like to get the BBQ Chicken Cobb Salad for $ 16. With Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Hard Boiled Egg, Chopped Tomatoes and Fresh Avocado and a balsamic vinaigrette.

A few of my coworkers come here during the week for lunch/drinks. I decided to join them this past Friday and see what made them keep coming back. The Dubliner is larger than it appears from the outside. The entire restaurant wraps around and ends in a large room in the back that faces William Street. The bar is a good size, as well. The restaurant is dimly-lit but I guess that adds to its pub vibe. When our waitress came around to get our drink order, I asked which beers they had since we were only presented with a food menu. She started rattling off a list of beers and I just went with what I know… Because, again, no drink menu was presented. Do they just not have one? I also noticed they serve wine since my coworkers were drinking that while I enjoyed my beer. The food menu is basic but provides typical pub fare. I went with the turkey burger with a side of sweet potato fries. The fries were addicting and I could not stop eating them. The burger was just okay. The bun was good and toasted well but the patty itself was overcooked and a bit burnt on the bottom. It still hit the spot and I still finished it but I’m not sure I would order it again. One coworker ordered the margherita pizza and said it was just okay, as well. Two other coworkers split the steak sandwich and seemed to really enjoy it. Service here is painfully slow. Our waitress was nice enough but barely checked on us. She also seemed to disappear when we needed the bill. She was smart and wrote down what amount went on which card when we paid, though. Overall, a decent place to grab some simple food during your lunch hour.

I came here for a work sponsored happy hour and networking event. It is on Stone Street, and although most of FiDi is a wasteland after dark, this street is buzzing with activity — especially when it is warm out, as they put communal tables in the street. The Dubliner is a decent Irish pub. It isn’t anything too special, but it is pretty spacious, lots of dark wood, very clean and is staffed by some friendly people. It isn’t fancy, but it is definitely not divey, either. Our group had all sorts of appetizers and we all had a few drinks. The service was very good and we were well taken care of by the server.

Came to the Dubliner for a lunch with one of my mentors, I had the Atlantic Cod with a Smithwicks Blended Batter fish and chips and they were good. The fish part was massive and a bit soggy so it didn’t flake like I wanted after a few bites. I had to resort to a fork and knife at one point… barbaric. The chips were wedgy and flimsy in some cases so I deducted a star. It was on the pricier pub side as well at ~$ 20 lunch. Adding Gastro– to those –Pub prices like I added salt to the fries. This bar is solid, I would definitely stop by here for drinks. For food, I would return once I finish exploring all the options on Stone St. and the near beyond. The BBQ Chicken Cobb Salad caught my eye with Cheddar Cheese, Bacon, Hard Boiled Egg, Chopped Tomatoes and Fresh Avocado… they didn’t mention lettuce, that’s smart of them, the worst salads have lettuce. The waitress was hard to find once we put in the order, but it was because the indoor area got gradually busier.
