Swan Music School is a place for your or your children to go and express themselves through music. Currently we teach acoustic & electric guitar, both in a class format and in private lessons.
History
Established in 2009.
Shaheed & Laura Shabazz, owners of Swan Music School, have been teaching in the NY/NJ area for a combined 21 years. Swan started out as Shaheed going house to house giving guitar lessons around NYC.
Swans, goal is teach as many people in the world to express themselves through music. One teacher going house to house created a finite number of people Shaheed was able to teach a year.
In November of 2009, started looking for a location to teach out of and group guitar classes were created to teach up to 5 people at a time. Now Joined by wife Laura and and small staff of teachers they are camped out at Ripley Grier Studios on 8th Ave. And couldn’t be happier.
