No matter what type of photography you are into, one would think that every bride and groom looks for a photographer that can truly capture the essence of the couple and their love. It was truly serendipitous that Steve was THE photographer for our wedding day as he actually had a cancellation when we reached out to him for our day. We cannot express how much Steve brought from day one. He is extremely professional, responsive, caring and unbelievably talented. At the day of the wedding, he was everywhere making sure to capture all moments without being intrusive, at the slightest. And we have the pictures to prove that. He somehow managed to capture EVERY meaningful moment as we remembered it that night. Looking at the pictures 3 months later, we are able to transport back to that day as if it happened yesterday. We are sure we will feel the emotions 10, 20, 30 years from now. And that is definitely the type of photographer you want capturing your wedding day.

Memories fade, but the amazing photos of our wedding day will live forever. The joy we will garner from these treasured photos is indescribable. They capture the essence of our wedding day perfectly. In retrospect, it was the easiest choice we had to make for our wedding, but also one of the most important. We hardly noticed his presence during the day, but the results prove he was everywhere and didn’t miss a thing.

Words cannot adequately describe how wonderful STAK photography was. We can say with certainty that hiring STAK was the best thing we did for our wedding! Not only is Steven nice and fun to work with but he is caring and responsible and has the most amazing and artistic eye for everything from the small details, to the large scenery, to capturing the moment and the emotions. He was so helpful in putting everything at ease and knowing that he was there to document the wedding lifted a huge weight from our shoulders because we knew we he would find a way to document that magical moment. On the day of our wedding, it actually poured, and I realized quickly that because we had Steven, I wasn’t even worried about the change in weather because I knew he would be able to get beautiful photos regardless, and he definitely did. The end results were magical and romantic and capture the emotions of the moment. His work was superb and we get compliments from EVERY SINGLE person we show our photos to. Not only was he just a photographer but he ended up being a true friend.

Wow. To say STAK delivers is an understatement.
From the very start of our wedding planning, my fiancé and I had agreed that our top priority was the photos. After all the planning and partying, our photos would tell the story and help us to hopefully revisit one of the most special days of our lives. STAK truly stands out from the many photographers we researched, and partnering with them was the best decision ever.
We had very high expectations from STAK from looking at their work, yet somehow they still managed to exceed these expectations with their extraordinary talent, energy and professionalism. They are responsive, reliable, thorough and thoughtful, and really go above and beyond for their clients.
Having just seen our full photo library during our viewing party (yes — viewing party — so fun), we felt like we just got married again! It is simply amazing how these photos pull the real emotions out from that day. Steven has an incredible eye and managed to capture all of the best moments during our wedding — from beginning to end — and all from a unique perspective or angle.

Steven is extremely responsive and took the time to get to know us as a couple. He was also very transparent is laying out all the package options available for us to choose from.
On the our wedding day, Steve was all over the place, snapping away, probably took thousands of pictures to capture the story of our wedding. The shots he took were a combination of romance, fun, thoughtfulness, and just very natural, happy shots with remarkable framing. The STAK-​booth was also a huge success, it definitely prompted our guests to do some crazy fun things at the photobooth.
After our wedding, Steve sent us a great preview picture that got us very excited. He kept us posted by blogging a series of photos captured from various parts of the day. And during the wedding photo premier party, it was such a joy to go over all the pictures and re-​live our wedding day again at STAK’s studio on big screen over a bottle of champagne. Steve is also a genius in selecting the right photos arranged in a thoughtful layout in making a storyboard of our wedding in a beautiful photo album.
We are so incredibly glad and privileged to have STAK Photography be part of our special day.

I really cannot rave enough about Steven and Tak. They are sweet, talented, and great communicators. They have a wonderful photo journalistic style and are able to catching wonderful moments, thereby reinforcing memories of a busy wedding day. Hiring them to be our photographers was definitely one of the best decisions during the whole wedding planning process.

I just got married this past holiday week and havent even seen the pics yet, and dont care. i know they are gonna be amazing. This husband and wife team are truly amazing at what they do. After seeing many friends get married and being so unhappy with there boring pictures I new and felt the most important part of the evening besides the bride was the pictures. These are going to stay with us forever! Steve and Tak met with us and made feel very comfortable, they are down to earth and love what they do. I am a control freak and was in charge of everything happen at my wedding down to every little detail, I wanted to make sure my guests had an unforgettable party, however when it came to STAK i told them the date and said see you there. I left the pictures completely up to them. I have yet to see them produce something un-​incredible. I left every picture decision up to them.
Everyone was impressed including the other venders. they didnt ask anyone to stop or smile or hold a pose. they just stayed in the back round and shot everything from our first kiss to us in our undies getting ready. they did what ever they had to to get a shot. and i think steve’s signature picture move is sliding across the middle of the dance floor when he sees something taking place. i wish they could have put the cameras down to come join us on the dance floor for a bit, but they were focused.
If pictures are important to you, then you need not go any further. I would recommend STAK to anyone and feel they should have more recognition. they love what they do and do it better then anyone else i have seen.

I can’t even begin to explain what STAK is capable of! They always somehow figure out how to capture a moment in time forever! I’ve had two experiences with STAK and both turned out AAAAAMAZING! Needless to say, STAK is on speed dial with me and I will even venture to say… the rest of my family!!! Steven and Tak are the most down to earth and charismatic couple who are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure customers are happy! Truly amazing! Highly recommended for any meaningful event… Mahalo nui loa for everything you have done to make these events extra special for my family!

They are brilliant! I agree with the other reviewers here; hiring STAK will be the best thing about your wedding besides «I do». They are super nice people on top of being top-​notch artists. The guests at our wedding referred to them as «ninja photographers» because of the way they deftly snapped a million shots before you even knew they were there! Steven literally slid on the floor on his back to get a great photo. You will not be disappointed! Beautiful, professional work.

They are truly a class act! The responsibility of hiring our wedding photographer was my task. I’ve been following Steven & Tak’s work for quite some time before we hired them. My wife and I had no reservations about hiring them. We had complete confidence in their ability to capture our day. It was a long day but they never seem to fade away. Even within the 10^th our we were still getting amazing energy and work from them. They are truly a great duo. They made us feel comfortable and our bridal party really enjoyed their company.
I mean seriously, once you see their weddings and albums. It’s a no brainer.

Hiring STAK to photograph our wedding was probably the best decision my husband and I made in the entire planing process. From our first meeting with them (where they were nice enough to answer all our questions and talk to us for hours!), we were blown away by their work and their ability to capture the real emotion of the day in their images.
When we asked about the possibility of shooting our engagement photos at our favorite spot in Philadelphia, other NY photographers weren’t sure if they could accommodate that request. Not STAK… they jumped at the chance to photograph us in a location that was very special to us.
Both our engagement photo shoot and wedding day were perfectly documented. Several guests at the reception commented on how Steve & Tak seemed to be everywhere at once… never missing a moment. When we received our final photos, that certainly proved true! My husband and I couldn’t be happier with STAK’s work, and we both felt they covered every possible shot we could ever want.
Perhaps most importantly, we felt Steve & Tak really cared about our experience and worked their hardest capture our memories and emotions from that day, and they certainly succeeded.

My main goal in hiring my wedding vendors was that I didn’t want to worry about anything the day of. STAK fit in perfectly.
They are everything you expect professional and experienced photographers should be. Talented, reliable, accommodating, etc. They made my husband and I feel like we were their priority clients.
They have a fantastic eye and truly care about your experience with them from the start. Steven and Tak got to know us and were genuine in their interest and it especially shows in the album layout.

Tak & Steven (STAK) are two of the most amazing wedding photographers. My husband and I actually found them because one of the photographers that we considered was booked for our special day. He was kind enough to refer us to STAK, and I was blown away when I saw the pictures on STAK’s website. We are so lucky to have been directed to STAK for our engagement and wedding photos.
They really know how to capture all the perfect moments and as they said, «take each picture with a purpose». They know how to make colors pop and we love that everyone’s emotions are caught by their cameras. We’ve even had compliments that some of our pictures belong in a magazine! The quality of the album (inside and out) is also really good and I know it will last a lifetime. It’s only been days since we got it, and I seem to find a reason to look at it every day!
Since we chose them as our wedding photography vendor, they responded to all our questions promptly and professionally. It also helps that they are a really nice and easy-​going couple. I highly recommend STAK as a wedding photographer. Our experience was genuinely great with them. I would say that we didn’t just find an excellent wedding vendor, but we found two new friends!

STAK is one of the best wedding photographers around. Steven and Tak are the most talented and creative people you’ll ever work with. My husband and I had a great experience throughout our engagement and wedding with them. They have captured every single moment and did not miss a thing! We’re so happy with our engagement and wedding collection and it is worth every penny! It was such a pleasure as they are so courteous and professional. They are masters of their craft and their work shows for it.

(ours are Nicole + Josh) — they are an incredibly dedicated pair of photographers. Our engagement session was only supposed to be 1 hr — but they got so into our shots it ended up being over 2 hours! Not only that, they did not charge us for the extra time. At our wedding they did an incredible job — brought an extra helper for no charge and give you freebies when you get enough comments on their website — we have a beautiful black and white 8×12 of one of our engagement photos and will soon get a huge canvas of another photo due to the amount of comments we received.
Not only do they just have a wonderful, natural skill for taking gorgeous, breath taking photographs but they make you feel beautiful and are very calm, patient and help you position yourself in a way so that you show up in the best way possible. I would highly recommend them — they’ve been very professional with us and gave us beautiful memories for us to enjoy.

After weeks of looking for wedding photographers and interviewing some wanna-​be photographers, we were lucky to have Stak’s website sent to us by a friend. I fell in love with their photography right away. it was fun, fresh and beautiful. We hired them for both our engagement and wedding and till this day, it’s the best wedding related decision we made.
