Amazing wine shop! They even sell this delicious Sauvignon Blanc that restores 100 oysters per bottle with the Billion Oyster Project.

The guys that work here are amazingly friendly and helpful! Great wine recommendation. They gave me a variety of wine options ranging from the more affordable wines to the more expensive wines. Definitely some affordable wines. They have a reward program as well for those who live around the area.

not only is the staff super friendly, they’re very knowledgable and not snotty. and even though I’ve never been able to make it to one of their tastings, I’m always excited to hear about all the events they have going on.

this is my go to liquor store. i LOVE this place! they have a great selection of wine & liquor. the staff here really know their stuff and are SUPER friendly. i mean, they know anything and everything about every single item they stock. i always get the best wine recommendations and have actually branched out liquor wise too since i started coming here. they have an under $ 20 wine wall which is awesome as well. i am a member of their wine club and if you buy enough wine, you rack up $ 5 off coupons to use on any purchase — love this place!

Excellent customer service and quality selection. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about whiskey. I never thought I would review a liquor store, but I feel they definitely earned one. Next time you’re walking through «Little Tokyo», I recommend stopping here, if even for a chat.

Very knowledgable and helpful staff. I came in to shop for some local NY bourbons. The salesperson asked my taste in other brands of bourbon and after listing a dozen or so, he had a pretty good idea of what things I might like to try. I did not leave disappointed. Excellent selection. Great atmosphere. I’m going to make this shop my go to place for spirits.

The people who work here are all super nice, super knowledgeable and want to help you find something you’ll really like. Whether you’re the only customer in there or when its packed on friday nights, the service is good no matter what. Once you pick a wine, they’ll dig though the fridge to find you a cold one. Wish it wasn’t so tiny cause it does get packed during prime hours.

As the majority of the other reviews indicate, this store is a gem! I live 2 blocks away & somehow only just discovered it a few weeks ago (as I typically go out of my way NOT to walk down St. Mark’s Place). I also admit that I made a few assumptions/​judgements before stepping foot in the store which I’m happy to report were all incorrect! I’ve spoken/​met at least 4 different staff members and they were all extremely knowledgeable, friendly & approachable. «Very well thought out selection of wine and liquor» is an excellent description. They also are able to work within a wide price range. I’ve gone in 3 times in the last two weeks and have not been disappointed w/​any of my purchases whether they were $ 15 bottles for me to enjoy at home, or a $ 30 red wine from France purchased as a gift. A VERY welcome addition to my neighborhood, which seems to have lost much of its history & character & now boasts of convenience stores & chains. A 7 – 11 on SM !!! Who would have ever imagined it…

The young man in this store was extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about his spirits. My friend was visiting from out of town and wanted to purchase a local whisky for her husband. The guy (didn’t get his name) told us all about the different offerings they had and helped her pick out the perfect gift. He even printed an article for us that provided more details on the whisky she had purchased.
We were extremely happy with the serviceability here.

I was totally expecting another generic liquor store. You know, the basic booze in plastic bottles that gets the job done. The Unilocal photos, however, implied that they had a few of my old «natural wine favorites» (the Au Bön Climat Pinot Noir) so I thought that I should give it a whirl.
In order to prep for this nasty blizzard, I trudged through the hail and found myself in the most beautiful shop. The friendly staff offered suggestions, and here I am. Three bottles in hand, and I can’t wait until I need to restock. They have some great finds, including some local New York liquors. Although not all of the wine is necessarily boutique wine (a handful could be found at Trader Joe’s) I was really, truly impressed by the price range. St. Marks Liquor is very fairly priced and they will guarantee you a good bottle.

Stopped by this place this past weekend to check it out. Lovely, bright, not overly large setup (something I hate.)
Well curated thoughtful collection of fine wine and Liquor.
The key takeaway was excellent personal customer service I received. Had a short conversation with one of the managers about interesting products coming out of local Brooklyn distilleries. Extra thumbs up for the awesome gin cocktail they had out as a sample.
Check it out guys. No pressure to purchase. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. Great tasting cocktails… what’s not to like. Will be back for some bottles, for sure.

A fantastic shop for some quality booze.
On a recent visit to NYC, we came across this store on the way to our lunch destination. We were interested in purchasing some local whiskey to take home and made sure to stop by on the way back (thanks to a friend who remembered that we wanted to stop here, we almost walked by it since we were so full from lunch).
The shop is small, but narrow and with high shelves to store their delicious products. When the owner (?) knew that we were looking specifically for local, small batch whiskeys, he lead us to several makes and had interesting things to share about each. Due to their license, they cannot provide samples, but he did a great job of explaining the flavor and tied it with the scent (we were able to smell a couple bottles, yum!).
We left with several bottles of 3 different kinds of whiskey. Pricing seemed fair for what we are used to paying, plus the luxury of not having access to this product otherwise (not that I checked since getting home).
And now, weeks later, we are wondering if they ship. DO YOU SHIP?

St Marks does not seem like the go-​to destination for a wine shop with knowledgeable staff with well priced wine. I was expecting to walk into a dingy place where the employees only talk to you to ask for ID (if that) and to tell you the price. I was offered to try wines as soon as I walked in and was told about wines I would like based on my choices. I tasted (and bought) a $ 10 wine and got a $ 12 Tablelands Sav Blanc that I have been trying to get my hands on since trying it at Veselka. I’m very excited to go back.

If I lived anywhere close to this place, it would be my one stop shop for wine. From the street, I spied one of my all time favorites, and barely known, California Pinots from Au Bön Climate based in Santa Barbara. This bottle drew me into the shop and what can I say except wow!, what a great selection of both European and California wines. Normally when I’m on the East Coast, I rarely see good California wines… In general, they’re more expensive than the European types, but the ones here are $ 20, not bad at all.
There is a hard liquor selection, although I didn’t pay much attention to it so can’t say much there.

The girl that helped me (Courtney) was super knowledgable and helpful and my husband and I LOVED the wine I bought.
