Great concept! Great customer service and really interesting selection. I don’t know why anyone would go anywhere else within the neighborhood. What can be better than getting to taste the wines before buying so you know whether you will like it or not. It’s places like this that will revolutionize the industry.

Concept gets 5 stars, the wine selection gets 2 – 3 stars. I love the integration of technology and the opportunity to explore risk-​free. The disappointing part was the limited selection of wines for such a giant space in prime real estate. I hope they expand with more tasting machines and, frankly, more wines available for sale… Oh and put some pricier wines in the tasting machine! If I can try first, I’m willing to get a more expensive bottle. Majority of the machines were bottles under $ 20. Would just like more of a range of price points.
The app could also use some work, though generally a pretty good user experience. I’m sure they will work out some of the kinks to streamline.

What an amazing concept, this isn’t your standard wine shop! It offers a Great selection of wines that you can try before buying. The staff is very knowledgeable of their products and prices are great (purchased a good selection of fine wines for under $ 30). You just need to d/​l the application and that’ll grant you to a few tastings of the wines available. Def. recommend for a cool experience and spot to buy wines.

Love, love, love this place. So high tech and tailored exactly to your tastes, which is exactly what young people need who don’t know a TON about wine. I often go into a wine store, know my budget, and pick one with a pretty label, my only other determinate being if I’m in the mood for white or red. I don’t know what a «smoky tannin» is or how an «aroma of peaches» can be present in something that’s only made with grapes. But I love wine, and love finding new wines to enjoy! This place is great because it lets you taste 6 samples every time you walk in, so you know exactly what you’re getting and you know it will be great at the time of purchase. I’ll never need to bring a bottle to a dinner party again and be nervous that no one will think my choice was good! The price range of wines is great, for any budget. Bottles range from $ 10-​$ 40. The employees at Taste are also really knowledgeable and friendly to answer questions and help you choose. I hope this idea really catches on an high tech tasting rooms pop up all over the city and country.

AMAZING, Life-​altering experience! The ambiance is like a wine club, roomy. If they had music, I would’ve been dancing & tasting! Between the staff & owner, Gary, all are VERY knowledgeable, EXTREMELY HELPFUL & if you’re open to new experiences, they give take you a piece of themselves, while taking you on a world tour! If you’re not as open, they have standards to support your comfortabilities.

This is a very very interesting wine store that houses a ton of tech that helps you not only choose the wine you want to buy, but helps you by letting you take samples… AND LOTS OF SAMPLES!
Ok everything is run off their TaseWineCo app — which allows you to taste up to 6 wines, take surveys to determine what wine you might like, keep a record of wine purchases etc. It’s quite nice. But with this app in the store, you can use it to scan a QR code next to each bottle set up to try that wine.
Let’s say you’re looking for a white and you’re standing in front of 5 or 6 whites. But you don’t know which one to get. So you now have a chance to taste each one and figure out — ohhh i like that one over there, instead of the one with the crushed bear on the label.
This is where the store shines and i’ll be back to not just try wines, but buy wine. They have a lot of different prices from 10 i think i saw to all the way to 35 or 40, but on average the prices were 14 – 18. Go Check it out!

I’m normally immediately skeptical about a place without any unfavorable reviews (you can’t please everyone, can you?). But there is very little not to like about this place.
The app is easy to use and lets you sample up to six wines per day. The wines are about 11 – 30 dollars I would say, with most being around 15 or so. (that was a complete estimation based on my brief view).
It seems like a good alternative to buying wine because there was a beach ball on the label.

Taste Wine Co. catered an event for my company and were absolutely wonderful! Gary, Jinna and Cole were such a help to us– we appreciated all that they did.

Let me start off by saying I am a huge wine connoisseur and a wine collector myself. I cannot believe it took this long to establish a wine purveyor that allows you to taste wine on your own and freely as you go about your business looking to buy that perfect bottle of wine. I admit I appreciate the nuances of a classic wine tasting guided by a sommelier or a vintner but this is amazing. It’s at least 2 –3 hours to the nearest winery here in the city to get that experience but what better than to develop yourself in a subtle and simple taste of wine you want before you buy it.
This is an awesome place, prices are reasonable and you get to taste up to 6 wines! Cool place to stop by after work; taste a few wines, grab a few bottles. Great sales concept! I approve!

Taste Wine Co is awesome! They are not your average wine shop, their high tech wine tasting experience allows you to sample wines before you buy them. 7 out of 10 times I don’t like the flavor profiles of wines recommended by others so Taste Wine Co is definitely my kinda place. The sample is a pretty nice pour so you are bound to leave the shop extra happy. I just hope they expand to a bigger place or rotate the wine regularly so that I can continue to discover new wines each time I go.

This place is so cool! Using their nifty little app, you can come in here and sample a wide variety of wines. All you have to do is download the app on your phone and use it to scan whichever wine you want to taste. The app operates on a point system, where the more points you have, the more tastings you get by trading those points in. You get points simply by downloading the app, taking quizzes, writing reviews of wines you tried, and even checking in on Unilocal.It’s a cool system not only to streamline the process of tasting but also is a great way for you to keep track of which wines you enjoyed in the actual app itself. I especially liked many of their cabernet sauvignons.

I know nothing about wine, other than I prefer reds and upon tasting know if I like or don’t like a wine. This store is perfect for me as I took advantage and tasted 6 reds. There was no pressure to buy, but I did buy 2 cabs which I really enjoyed.
The store is visually very appealing and the staff knowledgeable and sweet. I found the prices to be very reasonable.

They have this great new app so that when you scan the the machines (dispensers) in store you get to taste a huge selection of their wines. The owner was also very friendly and knowledgable. He helped us pick the perfect wine for dinner. check it out. A great addition to the neighborhood.

This is a newly discovered gem, for me, that is visually stunning and takes wine tasting to a whole different level and experience. You can download the app, take a picture of what you’re tasting, review it and buy it (or not). You get to taste 6 wines per visit, of whatever you wish to taste, since there are no «demonstrators/​pourers» promoting any of the wines — you select the ones you want to taste and it comes straight out of the machine, and the pours are not stingy. While I love going to wine tastings where there is a list of wines and people stand around and discuss them, this is a great addition and alternative for a day when you just feel like tasting different wines, that you want to taste, without all the «hoopla».
They have lots to choose from and the prices vary. There were a lot of wines that are not your average «wine on the block», for sure. The staff is very friendly and professional. I had the wonderful pleasure of «touring and tasting» there with Genevieve, an adorable young lady who helped make my first experience there very easy and pleasurable.
They are so «user» friendly that they even have wifi if you need it and a place to plug in your phone!
They also have some delicious «spirits» not to mention the people and place left me in «good spirits»!

Awesome place and great concept: love the app and try before you buy option! Amazingly friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back.

How do you know if you like the bottle you are buying? I’ve bought so many bottles of wine based on label (gasp!)…I know you’ve done it too… OR based on the suggestion of the employees at a wine shop (but how would they know what I would like?). It’s been a struggle learning about/​finding the right wine for me. I happened upon Taste Wine Co and really appreciate what they are doing for the wine world. It’s almost a wine for dummies kind of concept.
1) download their app (free and takes 2 seconds)
2) scan any of their wine dispensing machines (it tells you all about the wine. Now I can sound like I know about wine at that dinner party)
3) machine dispenses wine sample
4) drink wine/​love wine/​buy wine
5) app saves your tastes so you remember what you liked!
It just makes sense to buy wine this way. I’m learning about wine and also know for sure that I love it. Love this concept!!! Also, the staff are really laid back and helpful :)

My dad recommended this place to me after he saw an article in the New York Times (or WSJ? I can’t remember SOS! Jk you probably don’t care). It just so happens to be right next to #brians apartment so that’s pretty neat. We went for the first time this past Saturday, and have already returned.
It’s such a simple concept, but just hasn’t been executed before. They have a huge selection of wines that are in machines that automatically pour out a tasting size of each of the wines. You are allowed to try up to 6 different wines per visit. #brian and I made the most out of both of our visits and tried 6 wines each. We both left feeling slightly tipsy so that was neat.
I really don’t see why we would go to any other place at this point, especially given #brians proximity to the place. The prices are completely reasonable and comparable to other places in the area. If you don’t have time to try the wine, you can still just do it the old school way and grab one. The neat part about this, however, is that they have an app so you can keep track of all of the wines that you try so if you are in a rush, you can just refresh your memory with wines you enjoyed at a previous visit. The app also tells you food pairings to accompany your choice.
They also have a back room area that can host a small group for events, so that would be great to look into as well.
This place is an up and coming joint, and I truly want it to succeed because it makes perfect sense. I have lost track of the number of times that I have opened a bottle of wine and basically had to hold my nose to get it down so it’s nice to know that I can avoid gambling while I’m not in Vegas.

Gary and max are some of the friendliest people ive encountered when buying wine in nyc. Easily has become one of my favorite places. Not only is the staff great but you get up to 6 free samples before you pick out a bottle. Keep Up the work this place will be packed in no time.

Cole took his time explaining the wines and their chemistry to me. And of course, the wines were delicious! I imagine it would be fun to stop in with a friend or a date, get a quick lesson on wine, and pick your dinner pairing.

Wow! the first wine store of its kind… this store lets you taste before you buy, amazing how many bottles I used to buy bottles blindly never knowing if I’d enjoy them or not… Now theres no more guessing. They also have an awesome app to help me find what I like. Love coming here with friends and exploring :)
