Seung-Hee Rhee, DDS, FAGD

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Rhee for over a decade; she’s one of the most caring doctors we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. There’s honestly nothing negative to say about her staff, office, or manner. I highly recommend her!

I have seen Dr. Rhee as my dentist for about 12 years, and referred many collegues to her. She is fantastic dentist and a kind person, and also teaches at NYU School of Dentistry. I will never forget how when I first saw her and did not have dental insurance she did x-​rays without charging me. I unfortunately have had to have a lot of dental work done but Dr. Rhee has done a great job!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Rhee for a little less than a year now and she is my favorite doctor of all time. Ever. I know, that’s weird to say but it’s the truth. She is so kind, incredibly pleasant, efficient and understanding. I’m doing invisalign with her (looking to finish up this October) as well as regular teeth cleaning and check ups.
Another plus (that I don’t really want to tell you guys) is that she is open on Saturdays every other week. For those of you who can’t really make time during the week due to hectic work schedules, you’re in luck!
Also, she has a great office staff. I’ve mostly spoken with Rachel and she’s always prompt with emails, insurance matters, etc.

Dr. Rhee is a wonderful dentist – kind, caring, knowledgeable, patient. She takes the time to explain to you exactly what she is doing and why, which is such a rare trait. If you have sensitive teeth, she will be extra careful. I felt that she was taking excellent care of my teeth.
Unfortunately, her office staff is incompetent, and this is really a shame, because otherwise having Dr. Rhee as a dentist is a great experience. They will give you a confirmed estimate and then send you a bill for a completely different amount; they make errors in your dental insurance; they promise to give you a quick answer if you have a question and then don’t contact you for months. It is true that they are quite friendly to you in the office, but if you actually have to deal with any issues (billing, insurance, estimates), it can be tremendously frustrating.

I strongly believe you won’t find a kinder, more efficient or more thorough dentist than Dr. Rhee. My husband and I both would gleefully announce that we had to make an appointment with her because she is just that much fun to see — she’s warm, pain-​free and a darn good dentist. Her office staff is also extremely knowledgeable and competent too, I never dreaded calling them with billing questions because they were so easy to deal with and they’ll book appointments over email if it’s easier for you.
Moving from NYC to SF was the worst, mostly because I have to find a new dentist when I already had such a great one. Go to Dr. Rhee, your teeth will thank you!

I was new to NYC about 6 years ago and needed a dentist. I asked around my office and Dr. Rhee was highly recommended. My experiences with her since then have been extremely pleasant. The gold standard for me when visiting a dentist is discomfort — specifically, how little of it I experience. In that regard, Dr. Rhee should get a medal. There have been times when I have nearly fallen asleep in the chair as she worked on my teeth. Now I see her twice a year for cleanings and it is a pleasure every time. My wife has begun seeing her and has had the same experience.
Even though I now live and work in Queens, I am only too happy to make the trip to Manhattan to the dentist I trust. My highest recommendation.

Just the best, great dentist no doubt, but also just simply the nicest person… best bedside manner, puts you completely at ease

I had initially went to Dr. Rhee because of all the fantastic reviews on her. So, yay! I found a new dentist! I had been going to Dr. Jaclyn Park for 2+ years, and the last visit didn’t cut it for me; she was rough and didn’t do a great job cleaning my teeth.
Dr. Rhee’s office is great. The atmosphere is clean, modern and professional. And the staff is very courteous and friendly. During my first visit, Dr. Rhee cleaned and examined my teeth, and even escorted me back to the reception area and gave me a handshake. Who does that these days? She is very sweet, gentle, and giggles all the time.
During my second visit for a 6-​month cleaning, the hygenist cleaned my teeth. Dr. Rhee examined my glands, tongue/​mouth (for oral cancer, etc.), and teeth. Overall, very satisfied. This office even measures your blood pressure.

I have to admit that I use Unilocal primarily for finding and reviewing restaurants, cafes and bars. Not for dentists. But given that I found Dr. Rhee on Unilocal and because she was such a caring dentist, I feel obligated to write her a glowing review.
RACHEL at the front desk was really helpful and cheerful (imagine that!); she helped me clear up issues with my dental insurance company (Aetna). Dr. Rhee really took the time to show me what was going on in my mouth. I prefer health professionals who don’t condescend but strive to educate their patients. Brownie points for Dr. Rhee… or is it bad that I’m giving sweet, teeth-​ruining points to a dentist…

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Rhee for a year & a half and I have absolutely no complaints. I get to the office at my scheduled appointed time and I wait no more than 5 minutes to see the dentist/​hygienist.
The receptionists, Rachel & Martha are extremely friendly ladies. Will gladly answer any insurance questions you have.
No rude/​hostile staff to deal with.

I was referred to Dr. Rhe from a friend as I needed to find a dentist who was in my Aetna Dental Network.
Dr. Rhee is excellent. She’s honest, very gentle and does not try to recommend pricey procedures that are unaffordable for the already economically squeezed patient.
The office is very clean, relaxing and the front desk staff & dental assts. are professional & friendly. I will recommend Dr. Rhee to everyone I know.
