Now I get the mixed reviews, The sapios in the Bronx is so much better even though its smaller. So I went here with my friends for ladies night. We arrived around four and was seated rather quickly because it was pretty empty. When we was seated we asked what drinks was on there happy hour list and was never told. So we just ordered our food, which was pretty decent. The grilled shrimp was actually pretty good. I asked if they had the henny coloda like the one in the Bronx, I figured same business they should but to my surprise they didn’t our server laura who was also the bartender made some version of it… It was okay. I got the fried calamari which was really dry I’ve had better. One of my friend had to send her drink back. The mac and cheese was decent… food wise it was decent, Drinks wise okay. Service wise it was ehh, but I guess that was to be expected since she(Laura) was the bartender/server. She did check on us a few times to ensure we we’re okay. When the check came I asked her why she never told us about the happy hour drinks, She proceed to give us attitude and said that she did when in actuality she never did… I’m telling you if gratuity wasn’t already included she wouldn’t have gotten all that… Overall we had a decent time, Would I go back… I’m not sure.

This place was worst than horrible I wouldn’t want my worst enemy to go here. I am not a picky person so this is saying a lot for me. The service was the worst. The drink were ok just a hole in the wall. I will start from the beginning when me and my friends walked into the bar we had to wait 45 minutes as one of my friends talk to the manager and try to convince to let us has a table once we were seated we didn’t receive service where at least 30 more minutes the waitress just kept walking right past us and ignoring us so we were just basically sitting there I had to say excuse me so I could get the waitresses attention and so they could wait on us and we still had to wait 10 minutes after that also the manager told my friend she did her a favor by getting us a table to sit at after like an hour and some really below average drinks we got the bill they charged my card and they kept coming back and saying that it was decline and I had a substantial amount of money in my bank account and every time they would come back and say that my card was declined they said that my bill was $ 185 then I asked to speak to the manager and I asked her why my bill was so much she said because we were sitting in the VIP area and we ordered a lot of drinks and I told her that was not true so she actually ended up charging my card $ 155 then they told us that we had to leave because I spoke to the manager about my bill she replied you didn’t have any money. I truly believe they tried to over charge my card for 4 drinks and one hookah they never gave me a receipt to show me what exactly that I had paid for. it was I just had a terrible experience I would never go back. On top of everything it was my birthday weekend and they ruined it if I could give zero stars I would.

I live nearby Sapitos and have gone there several times with mixed results. The service is spotty at best and they don’t really have their act together with it. Probably the most frustrating thing about them is they don’t have set recipes for their food. Our first couple times there the Mofongo was so good but then they changed the recipe and its barely average. The same thing happened with the Picadera sampler, the first time was good and the second the recipe changed and it was much worse.

I went for happy hour with the girls. They all sent the drinks back, the liquor use is very cheap and made the drinks not tasty. The food was ok. But the staff was very nice and pleasant.

This place seems to be fairly new but the service is horrible. My partner and I walked in on a Friday(1÷22÷16) after work for drinks and appetizers. The people working there were not attentive. I had to ask for the menu and the food seemed good so we decided to stay to give it a try. The bartender was no were to be found and no one had a clue as to how to manage the place. Someone took our food order and we had to find seats ourselves. The table wasn’t set up and the person who served the food after serving us put some napkins and utensils down. No water or anything to drink was served and when we were done we had to basically beg for the bill to be charged. Everyone was completely clueless and the only thing that was a little bit good was the food. We won’t be going back not even because it’s close to work.

WOW, I was not impressed at all. I normally go to the one on east tremont, which I love. The music at this one was pretty good, which probably was the highlight of the night. The waiter was very disrespectful and was very flamboyant with his sexuality and even called my boyfriend PAPITO! He almost knocked the hell out and the waiter was so busy talking and switching his waist that he lacked communication at the table and didnt come to our table for damn near 30 min, we actually got up to get him so we can get service… I most likely will not be going back. However the one on East tremont is the best even though its smaller, the hospitality is awesome in the BRONX.

Nice place. I was with a part of 6. We were seated pretty quickly for a Saturday night. I knew what sapitos would be like from their Bronx location so I expected the loud music etc on a Saturday night. We didn’t mind. We had fun. Customer service was really good. I had higher hopes for the food. It had mixed reviews. Here’s the breakdown of reviews from our table last night: Fried pork chops were huge, tasty. rice and beans were good. Paella was just ok. Shrimp scampi in linguini was great Seafood in linguini& garlic sauce tasted great but unfortunately the seafood was not cleaned properly. Sandy texture in the sauce and linguini. Churrasco: Tasted ok. Had better. Mofongo was the surprise hit of the night. Great taste. Wasn’t dry. Just wish there was more of it. Served traditionally in a pilon. But was hollowed out in the center so it felt like I was cheated. Drinks were good I’d definitely come back again.

Horrible customer service. Had people standing outside In the Cold and letting who they wanted in even though it was not crowded

I come back because it’s close to work. The food is good and so is the happy hour. Why 3 stars? The service. It very inconsistent. You have no idea who’s really serving you and they often forget the details like sauces. I’ll keep giving them a shot, but the service needs to improve.

I went here to celebrate a friend’s 23rd birthday. I saw the reviews for the Bronx location which said it was ratchet over there. So I expected the same here, but it wasn’t too ratchet. First of all after a certain time you have to be 23 and up for women and 25 and up for men. Did not know that I’m 21… but luckily the bouncer wasn’t a hard ass because it was my friend’s birthday. When we walked in it was a bunch of older people fairly mixed crown with black and Latin people. The dj played old music with a few new hits. The bartenders were darlings so sweet and started conversations with us and kept making sure we were good. There was a point in the night where the bartender stood on the bar and gave everyone shots at the bar, nice touch! I only have two complaints. One my friend ordered guacamole with chips and tostones for $ 12 and got 2 spoonfuls of of guac with a few tostones and a plate full of chips, the bartender took the food back with no problem. Secondly, I asked was there a birthday special and the only thing they had to offer was a bottle special for $ 150. There were a few cute chicks in the building, but nothing overwhelming. The bouncers were good at defusing situations before something could really pop off. If you want to hear throw backs with your older cousins and get drunk go here! The mojito was extra sweet and I loved it and normally I hate mojitos. Oh, the shots and drinks are the same price so you might want to do shots at a pre game and then buy a few drinks there. Paid $ 11 for a patron shot and $ 11 for a fireball shot. $ 11 for the mojito as well, glass of wine was $ 10.
