Went for dinner last night. Sat outside, despite random people trying to sell us DVDs, jackets and jewelry, it was nice to sit outside. The pitcher of white sangria was great. Service was ok. Kind of slow but the servers we had were very knowledgable food and menu wise… the food took 45 minutes!!! Too long. We got the pasta special and the salmon special. Too long. The food was hot and delicious but not worth the 45 minute wait. Not to mention we were one of four couples in the place so it wasn’t busy… if I come back it’d be to grab a seat at the bar and watch a game.

Food is ok and overpriced. Drinks are overpriced. Management is extremely rude and does not know how to be in hospitality business. Fat «owner» is low class and needs to go back to school on how to run a business.

My friends and I went here a few weeks ago and the food was pretty awesome. But the service was horrible. Our drinks took about 20 minutes to come and the restaurant wasn’t packed. Then it took about another 40 minutes for our food to arrive. At the end of our meal, we spoke to the manager about our service and he took offense to it and be came very disrespectful. So yeah, ill definitely pass on going back to this restaurant.

My first time going with my bff and is was great. The drinks was good, the manager Cesar was playing awesome music from english, spanish, 80’s to current. He’s also a cool down to earth man. Most definitely going back, gotta try the food next time

Last nite my bff & i decided to wing it and try a new spot & we checked into here & i was a lil hesitant but i must say i love it. Very nice lil spot music was awesome, drinks were on point and most of all no looney people at the bar… lol the owner cear was absolutely friendly & nice to us he made our nite by playing sum goodies fm the past

I ordered Seamless from here. I got the steak nachos and the cheese was liquid cheese. No joke — movie theater cheese. Stay away.

I love coming here the staff is so friendly and the food is always fresh the drinks are great and the music is always good

had a great time when i visited prime one. The grits with shrimp was excellent! The service was good… no complaints. The server was attentive, friendly and pleasant. The seating was a bit tight. smaller on the inside. outdoor seating is more comfortable, when its opened up. Hopefully, will be back to try something else on the menu.

It was ok, nothing to make me return to… Maybe I need to try another dish, because that cheese grits with shrimps was NOT a prime winner. I enjoyed the garlic bread and the water with lemon and ice more.

I really enjoyed my food at this resturant. It’s much smaller than it looks in pictures but I’m sure in the summer time with the sidewalk seating out it makes it looks much bigger. My drinks was weak but the food made up for that. The food is a little pricey for the area by a $ 1 or $ 2. Go for happy hour and enjoy the specials.

Happy Hours was great! Frozen Margaritas $ 8. Appetizers were delish, main course so-​so.
Music was great. Service was average, but not the worst.

Went there this past Saturday. Got there at 12 sat and ordered a drink, 1 Hendricks and tonic. Went to order another but it was finished so Bombay. Could not order another, that was finished too with no replacement. Staff didn’t know how to turn volume up on tv’s much less turn the channels. Ordered steak and eggs. Wait staff says there no steak. Saturday morning with a long weekend ahead? Ok. Order shrimp and grits there were cold. Ordered fries, sorry, no fries. Will not give this place another try. Was in there for the 1^st hr alone and service was lack luster.

Amazing and under rated. The service is great and so is the food. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable about the wines available which was a plus following wine etiquette providing a tasting prior to the purchase of a full bottle of wine.
The baby lamb chop dish was great served with truffled mash potatoes and mixed vegetables. The serves noted a guest at the table attempt to pour wine in a glass, and came to the table stop the pouring and did it himself.
The surf and turf was also great. Age steak with garlic shrimp and choice of cut fries, or mashed potatoes with grilled asparagus. The crème Brûlée was standard, but good; too minimal for my taste.
The bathroom was clean and comfy. Overall, this was a great experience. I don’t give five stars on Unilocal,but the service tops it off. All staff were on board to make a great experience.

I really wanted to like this place! I have been here four times and had an issue each time. Every time I go, the servers are novices and that exacerbates the issue. I am told incorrect information and then overcharged so I must complain to management. Other times, the servers are to interested in the TV to bring the check. All the food I have had is delicious, but overpriced. I have been there 4 times and have had to call the manager over 3 times and had my bill subsequently fixed.
Visit one: birthday drinks and light food. We were brought (did not order) birthday shots and then they were on the bill! After involving management, it was removed.
Visit two: service was ok and food delicious, but all paid help was too interested in the 2 occupied tables to keep water filled or bring the check.
Visit three: came for happy hour drinks and happy hour. Charged full price for something told was discounted for happy hour. After involving the manager, was told the server was new and gave us incorrect information and check fixed.
Visit four: ordered brunch. Almost an hour later, someone that was seated 30 minutes after us got some wings. When we complained, we were told the kitchen did not start on time and the chef showed up late. I got the steak and eggs for $ 18. Served on a huge plate showed how ridiculously overpriced it was. I had at the most ¼ cup of potatoes as the side. We asked for sweet potato fries and got yucca fries. The regular fries were burnt and overcooked. Shrimp and grits wee delicious as was the French toast. Also, a bottle of Angry Orchard cider was $ 3, but cranberry juice was $ 4.

My name is Nichole and the first time I came I had a great experience ! I came with a friend last August, the atmosphere was wonderful and we met one of the owners and he was great! Great music, great food, an overall great experience !
I recently came by this past Sunday 8÷2÷15 with the same friend for brunch and our service was horrible. My friend and I took a table outside and we weren’t greeted for about 7−10mins which is a pretty long time without water in the middle of the Summer. They give like garlic bread which we received before we got water and gave in our order. After we gave in our order. she ordered a mimosa and I got a bloody mary. Our drinks took about another 10mins to come.
We continued to talk and by the time we knew it 20mins had went by and still no food. Our server came back and we ordered two more drinks. I actually ordered mine first. And about 5 mins later my friend ordered hers. 2mins later she received her mimosa, 7 mins later and I haven’t received my bloody mary. She told me that my friends mimosa was premade and that mine had to be made from scratch and that’s why it was taking too long. 3mins later she came back with my second drink. And about 5mins after that the busboy dropped off silverware. About 5 mins after that we received our meals.
She ordered the fried chicken and waffle and I ordered the shrimp and grits. To be honest we were a little disappointed. Her waffle was over cooked and my shrimp and grits were flavorless. My friends chicken and waffles also came out without any syrup!!! I was so confused because the last time we came the service was great, the food was excellent, and the drinks were perf! I chose not to complain about the slow service because from what I seen there were only about 2 servers on the brunch shift. And the manager came over right after we received our food I guess to see if we needed anything. Overall I give this place 3 ½ stars and that went down from 5 based off of my last experience ! I do love this place from my first experience and I hope to come back and experience better service !

I will note that the place was practically empty as it was about 9pm on a Sunday night. (Plus…we only ended up there because I wasnt dressed appropriately enough to hit up one of the nicer steak houses downtown). Things like that dont vibe with me because if youre a food selling establishment and you want to keep loyal customers, your food should ALWAYS be good!!!
I made the terrible mistake of letting a friend choose this place to eat dinner. I regretted it immediately. I wish I had gotten my wings appetizer with more time allotted before my entrée came out but that wasnt the case. The wings were essentially fried to death and had very little flavor. Because we couldnt decide on a sauce, we had them bring bbq and hot sauces out on the side. The bbq tasted just like Wendy’s bbq sauce you get for their nuggets and the hot sauce was something some people carry around to flavor their food with.
I made my mistake even bigger when i ordered the 12oz filet instead of the 8. Why oh why did I do that??? The steak was as plain as could be. The waiter initially asked if I wanted it butterflied to which I said yes. It was cooked all the way through but in my opinion if you go to a steak house and your food actually needs steak sauce, then the chef did a horrible job!!! I hate my mashed potatoes and some of my spinach. The steak just sat there. Our waiter didnt see me tossing the steak or I would assume he’d have said something but I just wanted the meal to be over. Luckily, I was in good company so it wasnt a totally wash.
All in all, I think the food was overpriced for how it tasted but $ 36 for a nice sized filet is a bargain. I should known something was up with that price right??? The total bill came up to about 120 – 130 for 2 drinks, 2 appetizers and entrees. (Happy hour was still going on when we got there and it ended at 9 so we lucked out there). Lol, well… lesson learned. Dont eat and/​or expect much from «hood» steakhouses.

It’s a go to spot after I leave work.
The food attempts to be upscale and you can that that they are trying but it is a far cry from one of the more well-​known steakhouses.
When I go, I get the baked clams and a bottle of white. The specials are pretty decent as well.
If you’re looking for a spot with decent food and a fun-​loving atmosphere, this place works.
I’d recommend reservations because you WILL be kicked to the curb if someone wants your table and you’re chatting it up with your friends at the end of a meal.
Business is business.

When my cousin convinced me to take the ride uptown to prime one 16 I didn’t know what to expect. What I found when we arrived was a very tiny yet surprisingly lively (for a Monday night) restaurant. The place was packed with late 20/​early 30 something’s who come here to eat, drink and dance to a mix of 90s r&b and up current hip hop hits. They actually play music videos on the large screen above the bar so it was cool to see some of the visuals that went along with some of these songs I hear all the time.
It didn’t take long for me to realize that I was in Love & Hip Hop Heaven. Some of the screens were showing episodes of the show and Chrissy Monroe (cast member) was hosting at the restaurant that night. Another random happening that night was some members from the Iconic Hip-​Hip group «The Diplomats» randomly making an appearance. Needless to say this place made me feel like I was I the old East Harlem and not the «new and improved» East Harlem. The vibe here is Chic and Ratchet at the same time. Chic because they serve relatively expensive cuisine similar to any upscale steak house in NYC and because the staff is dressed like they work in a high end hotel. Ratchet because they play loud music and the vibe is more like a small nightclub then a restaurant. I think they know who their target demographic is and from what I see they do a good job of catering to that.
The Food: Typical NYC steakhouse fare here plus some latin inspired options (it is «spanish» harlem). I had the Filet Mignon sliders appetizer and the arroz con pollo entrée. The sliders were tasty. They were topped with chipotle mayo, grilled tomato and caramelized onions. The meat was seasoned nicely and the toppings provided good combination of flavors. Although I’m pretty sure they are not using Filet mignon at this price point, it’s a pretty good appetizer. Next up was the Arroz con pollo which was comprised of pan roasted chicken, rice with pigeon peas topped with guacamole and a side of plantains. The problem with this dish was that the rice was undercooked. I mean really undercooked, it was quite hard. I had to send the dish back and they quickly brought it back out with thoroughly cooked rice. When I finally got the dish the way it was supposed to be served it was a good entrée. The guacamole on the rice was a nice touch. The chicken although not particularly moist was seasoned really well and had a great seared texture on the exterior. Overall I enjoyed the flavors of this dish.
Despite its major misstep, Prime one 16 does have some good qualities. Although the food is nothing special, it’s definitely enjoyable. It does a good job at offering a lively and festive environment to enjoy a drink and a meal on a week night. Personally I think Ricardo Steakhouse just a few blocks away is superior to prime one 16 in the areas of food and ambiance so I probably wouldn’t choose prime over Ricardo but that’s just my personal preference. Prime gets 3 stars. I consider it to be average in comparison to similar eateries. I would probably say 3.5 without the rice mishap but they corrected it quickly so I won’t deduct a full star.

So what can I say about this place? Well for one, we ordered the nachos for brunch, and after 20 – 25 minutes of waiting, the nachos came out cold and the cheese was dry and fake. We took one bite of th nachos and requested our money back. It’s been about 20 – 25 minutes and we have not not gotten our main entrée yet.
Update: it’s been about 30 minutes and we still have not gotten our food. And then the waitress had the audacity to ask us «is everything okay?» As if the water she served us 20 minutes prior had satisfied our hunger.
Update: 35 minutes and we still have not gotten our food. So def not coming here again.
Update 40 minutes: a friend of ours fully finished shopping before we got our food.
Finally got our food. My salmon plate came with a cold bagel, a huge, hard slab of cream cheese, and salmon, also the service was lacking.
I am bookmarking this place as to remind myself to not come here again.

This review is for the brunch. My friend and I stopped in after target to get a bite to eat on a Sunday afternoon .
We stopped in after seeing they have decent Unilocal reviews and it looked cute.
Points for the fact that the place is cute, has a nice outdoor section, cheap $ 3 brunch drinks and friendly waiters.
They lose a few points because the service was super slow despite it not being too crowded. Also the food was pretty meh. I got steak and eggs and my friend got eggs Benedict. Wasn’t gross, but wasn’t good by any means. Very plain and nothing I would get again.
I would have given 2 stars but I liked the drinks and the fact that they were cheap. Food was definitely overpriced, especially for the neighborhood and the fact that it was bland.
Stop in for drinks, but skip the food!
