Rock Paper Scissors Events

Ara Farnam of Rock Paper Scissors provided day-​of event styling for my restaurant wedding reception and she was terrific! A month before the wedding, we had a meeting with her and the restaurant owner for a tasting and to discuss the setup details. We were so happy she was there because she helped me understand the table setup logistics and she helped us choose the food we had served. Since I was on a budget, I purchased all of the decorations and set up the sample guest tables and welcome table on my dining room table at home, took pictures, and emailed them to her the week before the wedding. The morning of the reception, she arrived at the restaurant, received my decorations and floral arrangements from the messenger service and styled the room to perfection! It was amazing how calm I felt that morning because I knew Ara had the decorating covered. Ara is extremely talented, professional, and warm. She was there to greet me when I arrived at the restaurant and even put the boutonnière on my husband’s suit jacket. She is definitely a great person to work with and I recommend her to anyone that needs any kind of event styling. She offers different event styling packages to suit different budgets. My wedding was a success thanks to Ara! Can’t wait to work with her again! Maybe for my anniversary party!

I just recently had a roaring 20’s Halloween themed 35^th birthday party and could not have done it without the help of Ara and her team at Rock Paper Scissors. Ara went above and beyond to create the party of my dreams. Her sense of design, layout, flow, amount of food and beverages are all spot on. She thought of small details that never would have occurred to me, but really made my guests feel transported back into time. Normally I am a control freak for these details, but quickly realized into the party planning that Ara was so capable I didn’t need to worry. She also stayed calm cool and collected under pressure and unfortunately, due to a freak storm that fell on the day of my party, Ara was put to the test and passed with flying colors. The heat in the tent I had put in my backyard stopped working (she had the repair person there within 40 mins) the snow, sleet, rain meant that guests couldn’t access part of my house in our original set up so she created a «speak easy» idea where guests needed a password and would get escorted through an internal hidden staircase, the cops came, she dealt with them — I mean really, anything that could have gone wrong did and Ara handled it all! When the invitations I designed didn’t seem special enough to me Ara was at my house within an hour to pick one up, bring it to Papersource and came up with options for how we could spruce them up. When my budget started hitting the higher end and I was getting nervous, so came up with ways to cut the budget without compromising anything (she even found a 15% off coupon for one of the vendors!) When I decided I wanted to add a photo booth at the last minute she called 5 vendors and negotiated until she found one that was willing to do it for me for my price. Honestly, I could go on and on, but know that the party was planned so perfectly that I am having major post party blues now and I am already thinking about my 40^th Birthday and what Rock Paper Scissors can create for me.
