I cannot say enough good things about Releash. They have amazing products but most importantly they truly care about the dogs. We always take our chihuahua puppy here. They give great recommendations on food and bathing. His grooming was incredible and they were so kind to him. I would encourage all dog owners to go here!

First, I love how they’re technologically advanced they are. Receipts emailed etc. I hope they allow customers to book grooming on line!
I take my dog Mia for grooming and they always do a wonderful job. Prices are par for the course for groomers in this area.
The service is always responsive, caring and top-​notch.
You’ll see that the storefront is completely new — with the best selection of high-​end dog apparel, accessories and beds.
I highly recommend Releash — and it’s always great to support the local businesses.

Peggy and the staff are amazing and so friendly. My Pomeranians, Cooper and Daisy, get top notch grooming here. Releash is always professional and well priced. The dogs are happy to come back too. They offer the coolest pet accessories and outfits that are unique from the chain stores. They also offer great insight on referrals for pet related topics such as vet concierges, etc.

There is only one reason I wouldn’t recommend Releash – more people might use it, making it harder to get an appointment. After our previous groomer managed to get our dog bleeding, we woke up to the fact that we had Re-​leash a block away. Tried it. No looking back. Simply and totally the best – kind, responsive, immaculate, user-​friendly not to mention hyper talented grooming. And for some mysterious reason our mini poodle doesn’t start matting before I get her home as she would when groomed elsewhere. Silky soft for weeks. Look, I may be projecting but she seems to want to go into Releash every time we walk by – as opposed to running the other way when we were in the vicinity of the other groomer. Body language doesn’t lie; nor does a great cut everytime.

Such a great place for my little schnoodle Tucker! Tucker goes to daycare here twice a week and is always running towards the releash whenever we walk by. He comes back exhausted from playing and absolutely loves the staff. The staff is very attentive and also does a great job with grooming. Some nice perks include personal drop off to your apartment and 2 personal (30 minute) walks during the day.
I have tried coco and toto and Pawsitively love — Releash is the best!!!

Very nice staff however I went in looking for food and got sent home with samples of raw food that had been recalled a week before. Thankfully I checked before giving my dog any.
Bottom line a high end let store that only carry two brands should know when a recall occurs. And def should not give out samples of said food.

I can’t say enough good things about Releash.
We just recently got our terrier mix, Buddy, from a shelter, and he was a shaggy adorable mess so I searched Unilocal for nearby groomers.
The first thing I noticed about Releash was their response to every review on Unilocal — they care about their customers and every time I read a bad review I thought «that’s a stupid reason to write a bad review…»
So I decided to go with the good reviews and give it a go, and I wasn’t disappointed. I am a physician and have a very demanding schedule, and when I called to schedule an appointment, they had the groomer come in on Sunday (which he normally doesn’t work) to accommodate us.
When we got there, the staff was super nice to Buddy and showed me photos as examples of what he would look like afterwards. Not only that, but when they heard that Buddy was a shelter rescue, they told me that the groomer was very passionate about rescues and does charity grooming for a nearby rescue every month.
When I came back to pick Buddy up two hours later, he looked great and was so excited and kept interacting with the groomer and staff even after I had arrived. It was obvious that he liked them and had been treated well. Plus they gave him an adorable new bandana and some treats for the road!
We will definitely be returning whenever Buddy needs his next haircut and recommend Releash to anyone searching for a groomer.

Releash is the best groomer in Manhattan. I have tried countless places and the grooming services surpass all others.

Absolutely love Releash! My dog has always been very scared when going to other groomers. In fact, she will fight me the last few steps; NOT with Releash, she actually WANTS to go in! Every time we walk past (it’s in our ‘hood) she stops at the door *(and it’s not just because of treats, other places also have treats). I guess she feels safe and that gives me a great vibe. Staff is very friendly & knowledgeable. Prices are always the same & posted clearly and you can do add-​ons (pawdicure!). The first time I took my dog there, they asked for a picture of my favorite haircut. They did an even better job. They also have some toys, coats, leashes and our favorite. .doggie ice cream! I highly recommend it.

Releash is close to my building on the UWS and I walked in with my maltipoo for a grooming a few weeks ago. I provided notes on how I wanted the hair to be cut; however, was really surprised when I picked up my puppy a few hours later at just how much hair had been taken off. I did not even recognize my dog; the grooming was the worst around my dog’s face. I was so upset and called the groomer the next day who went over the notes I provided (it was clear the groomer had taken off more than asked) and told me that my shock was because this is the first time my dog had gotten a puppy cut. However, this had been the second time we went to a groomer (we went to Biscuts and Bath the first time and they did a great job) and even so, it is not up to the groomer to decide to take of more hair because they feel like it. The manager did offer me a few freebies because of the bad experience; however, I declined and will not be coming back there again. It’s been a few weeks and I’m patiently waiting for my puppy’s hair to grow back.

Releash is just great! The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly — they even helped us track down and sort out vet records across state lines when we were having difficulty. The most important thing, obviously, is the time and attention they paid to our little Sofia! I’ll admit, it’s been a while since she’s been professionally groomed, but they tackled the tangles like nobody’s business and she looks amazing (and she knows it!). We will definitely be back!

We LOVE Releash, the staff are fabulous, they give me the same person to wash each time so I know they are aware of my little Yogi’s special needs and what he likes and doesn’t like. Chris, Yogi’s groomer, is fabulous with yogi’s groom, does exactly what i ask and we go there once a week for a teeth cleaning, which is really great, and he is very gentle with my little boy, a teacup poodle. They do him straight away too, so he is not left in the crate.
If you live on the UWS in NYC, this is the only place to go. Jennifer and Yogi x

Friendly staff that was willing to take us last minute. They looked at my dogs belly to see what may have been causing her rash. The lady definitely went above and beyond to help me find out the cause and possible options to help ease her pain. Thank you for helping!
