I’m 99% this place won’t exist after it’s lease is up. If you walk around the corner to 10th and 43rd, there is the BESTPLACE for chicken ever. Pio-Pio. How can they serve A-OK chicken around the corner from AMAZING chicken? I’m not exaggerating. You must eat there to see what I’m talking about. That being said, I wish Pio-Pio offered organic, healthy meat. They don’t. So this being a healthy meat place, they need to work on things. 1. The Kale salad isn’t great. It’s really only so-so. The recipe needs less tang, more salt, more crunch… more something. It’s actually hard to eat a ½ cup it’s so overwhelming. 2. Chicken is good… 3. The green Caribbean sauce is fine — but taste the green sauce at Pio Pio. Again, this doesn’t rank. 4. Tiny, and I mean tiny corn muffins for $ 2? Hahahahahaah

The stars are for the server(I believe his name was Arta?). He was extremely friendly. Alas, the food was a yawn. The kale chard salad was too dry and needed MUCH more massaging. The wings were tiny(which was fine bc Arta warned me and I don’t like huge wings), but the issue was that they tasted almost gamey, which was a definite turn off. Great concept, mediocre food.

Really tasty and affordable rotisserie chicken. The white meat is definitely expectedly dry, but the meat still has a ton of flavor, and the sauce makes up for the lack of moisture. Coincidentally I had rotisserie chicken from Poulette on the same day for lunch. I will say that chicken from Poulette has crispier skin although Red Hen gives more flavor, is more affordable and does not charge extra for white meat. Kale and chard on the side is refreshing and comes in good portion. I also got a small cabbage and onion slaw which went quite well with the chicken.

The Macaroni and Cheese $ 4.90(- $ 1 First Visit Reward — $ 1.00) was really underwhelming, so stick with the chicken, I guess. Transaction Amount $ 3.26 (Amy’s Bread Chocolate Chip) Cookie was weak $ 2.99 Other* * tax or other one-off adjustments $ 0.27 Total Rewards — $ 1.00 $ 1 Return Visit Reward — $ 1.00 Total Balance $ 2.26

The people who work here are crazy nice and friendly. I had the Vietnamese sandwich and the Citrus Brewed Iced Tea. The chicken is very fresh and high quality. The sandwiches and burgers come with potato chips. Usually, I find potato chips too salty and greasy but these chips weren’t greasy or salty at all and I devoured all the chips they gave me. I think the chips are made in-house. I’m not usually into iced tea but their Citrus Brewed Iced Tea is very refreshing and it’s organic, which is a plus. The actual location is adorably decorated, clean, and spacious. I can’t wait to return!

So I’ve been here a few times and what I find interesting is that every time I am there… its completely empty. Maybe it gets a lunch crowd but typically when I have walked by(I live nearby) I am the only person in the joint. I normally don’t base any review off a place if it’s empty or not but I think it is certainly interesting to note. I’ve had the Italian Chix Sandwich and the BBQ Pulled Special before. Both were good… but that’s just it. they were good and prices OK for the portion sizes. They serve antibiotic-free chicken and I will say I have not had anything other than the sandwiches they offer. I would go here if I was in the mood for a chicken sandwich of some sorts but it’s not always on my radar. It’s a good place to switch it up from the time to time. Customer Service is great — the guys behind the counter and the owners are all really good people, very welcoming and makes you feel at home. This place is also super clean and you definitely feel that when you walk in there.

The food here left me not only satisfied but healthy as well. I had a half chicken with buttermilk mashed potatoes. It wasn’t salty & did taste completely organic. The cashier, Blake made my stay here feel like I was right at home also gave me a complimentary cornbread to take home. I will definitely be visiting this place again.

Ordered from here via seamless. The food itself is pretty good. As expected, the chicken is well made and the quality of meat they use is definitely two thumbs up. Price-wise they are also pretty reasonable. Portion-wise you won’t get a ton of food, but you know you’re getting decent quality grub when you order. In addition to the chicken tenders, I also tried some of the mexican corn. It’s really more cream corn than corn on the cob, but the flavor was good and was a nice compliment to my meal. Again, I didn’t walk away feeling particularly full, but at least it was satisfying and the ingredients were solid. I’d come here again for sure.

This kind of looks like a fast food restaurant from the outside(the red and yellow signage screams Burger King and McDonalds) but this is a proper sit down chicken bar with tables or take out. It is also freshly made to order rather than premade. I ordered the chicken tenders with a side of creamed corn. It was pretty good. Chicken was good quality and the crispy coating was great. The cream corn was a let down though. The corn wasn’t really mashed at all and it was more like whole pieces of corn in a bland white sauce. Friendly service.

I kind of stumbled to this restaurant. Initially, I thought it was a fast food fried chicken place. But I was surprised how good the chicken was and the Mac and cheese was also very good. The chicken was very tender and cooked just right. Definitely, a great spot for lunch and I wanted some more after eating my quarter chicken. My only complaint is the portion is small for the price.

I love this place! It’s hard enough to find somewhere in NYC to sit down in a comfortable, clean, friendly environment and enjoy a quick, fresh, healthy meal at an affordable price.(Just try finding a seat at Fresh & Co at lunchtime.) But here, you definitely get all of those things. I got the veggie bowl and added chicken breast on top. My friend, who is actually a vegetarian, just got the veggie bowl– so yes, they do have veggie friendly options! The one thing I will say is I would have preferred for the bowl to have more veggies and less rice. Other than that, though, it was delicious. But the service was what really made the difference for me. The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. Our server who brought over our food also offered to let us sample the different dipping sauces. I was having a problem using an iPhone app to pay for my meal at first, so the owner Steve actually came over and introduced himself to me and helped me work it out. I will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes!

I walk by this restaurant every week and finally found the time to try it. It was 9PM, not crowded and very clean. There was a worker cleaning the walls, that’s how clean they are. Okay, best thing about this place is that they serve antibiotic-free chicken. I opted for simple 5 piece chicken tenders and side of mexican corn. I loved the chicken tenders with Jerk Mayonnaise. It was hot, juicy and delicious. The mexican corn I did not care too much for. Next time I really want to try the butternut squash. Can’t wait to go back and try the other menu items!

Despite the appearance of this restaurant, their food is actually pretty good! Perfect for those nights where I just want to order Seamless and watch some Netflix. I got the five piece chicken strips with the Mexican corn side dish and it was honestly a little too much food. I’d go with the three strip next time because although they don’t look too big, the entire meal can be filling. I like how their chicken tastes fresher and I also really like their agave mustard dipping sauce :) They don’t package it into pre-packaged packs like other fast food places do and they give you just enough.

What a great find in a very unlikely place! I happened to see someone walking out with a to-go bag when I was going past and decided to take a look. For casual dining with high quality ingredients and bold flavors at a great price — this is the place to go! The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and modern /contemporary. The gentleman behind the counter had a wonderful energy and welcomed us with a smile — he answered all of our questions politely without making us feel rushed. I had the chicken tenders served on a plate with a few sprigs of arugula — the chicken was moist inside, crispy panko breading outside and really fresh & tasty. I had a side of the Mexican street corn, which is kernels in a bowl of sauce topped with cotija cheese & a little lime wedge. It was different, but so yummy. The food was simple, clean, and well-prepared. The sauces were distinctive and delicious, too. I especially loved the agave mustard dipping sauce. Also, I noticed that the plastic sauce dipping cups are made in the USA — that’s what I like to see! My friend had the quarter chicken meal, which looked tasty with a side of farro and butternut squash. I, also, tasted the farro and it was delightfully delicious. The farro salad may not be something I would normally order, however, based on this experience — I will be ordering it in the future! Before we left, the chef and owner, also, offered us a taste of the Mighty Leaf citrus iced tea — a refreshing treat on a humid evening. It was a lovely gesture and indicative of someone who really is passionate about food and who wants his patrons to know the great options Red Hen offers. We were pleased all the way around and will definitely return! I’d highly recommend supporting this small business that left a big impression on us!

After eating far too much Dig Inn, I am happy to say this will be my new lunch spot! Stumbled upon this gem on Seamless after finding out it was a new restaurant. Delivery is prompt(15 minutes) and it’s great to know the food is local and antibiotic free. For $ 9 I ordered the quarter chicken with bbq sauce. The chicken was moist and the BBQ sauce is delicious. It also comes with shredded cabbage(the seasonal vegetable), though I’m not a huge fan of plain cabbage. The chicken meal comes with a side, so I ordered the Mexican corn. To be honest, I didn’t know it would be like cream corn and would be cheesy. I was hoping for fresh corn as a side. However, it was delicious! I also ordered a mini corn muffin for $ 2 and crumbled it into the corn. The portion size is perfect! Often time’s lunch portions are too large, full of starch, make me feel icky for the rest of the day. Red Hen is a great alternative to that. I am looking forward to trying the Chili next!

This great new find in the Hells Kitchen opened in the location where there used to be a «Peter’s Rotisserie» joint and I have to say that I hope this place is here to stay! I’ve dined in here several times and the service and food are excellent. I highly recommend the quarter(or half if you’re hungry) grilled chicken and the kale and chard salad for a healthy, and highly satisfying meal. The dark meat chicken is very flavorful, and the white meat is juicy and perfectly cooked. This is a regular stop for me on the weekends and I am counting down the days when I can order from them on Seamless!

I agree with the good reviews here– friendly staff, nice clean restaurant, and I also met Steven(assuming he is the owner) — who also offered me a free sample of chili(and even one to take home to my hubs). I didn’t care too much for the chilli — but I think the health-conscious would like it. Overall I gave an extra star for the service because I think that makes a big difference! The chicken is very moist and delicious. It is basically an «Americanized» version of Peruvian chicken– especially with the green sauce to go with it — the peruvian jalapeño sauce — just remember to ask for extra sauce because one wasn’t enough for me. Chicken was also pretty clean«without the nasties» as I think one other reviewer said, too. I will definitely be back to try some of the other options on the menu!

I wanted to rate this higher because the staff are really great, but it just didn’t live up to expectations. I stopped by on the way home late from work one night thinking I could grab something quick to go. I had to wait about 10 minutes for my order but at least that meant it was made to order and hadn’t been sat there all evening. I had wanted a grilled chicken burger, not an unreasonable request from a chicken restaurant, however they don’t offer a chicken burger! They have every other type of chicken and every other type of burger(beef, turkey and veggie) but NOT a chicken burger, weird. In their defense they do have chicken sandwiches but neither of them sounded appetizing to me. I asked the server what was the best thing on the menu and he recommended the wings. As he was so friendly and helpful I figured I’d go with it. They were OK; a little small and slimy with an average sauce. I like a crispy wing and this was the opposite of that. With Atomic Wings, Shorty’s(bar with great wings) and Buffalo Wild Wings nearby I definitely wont be ordering wings from them again. I love rotisserie chicken so I may try them in the future but again, there is healthy competition in the area including Pio Pio and Food Emporium where you can get a good, delicious chicken to go for less $.

This place just opened up pretty recently, so come check it out!!! Everyone is always super nice here, and the place is spacious and clean. They offer tons of healthy food options as well. I had their quarter chicken with a side of mashed potatoes. Oh, and they deliver within a couple block radius, fyi!
