Pre-Dame Makeup Party

I booked the Pre-​Dame hair and makeup team for my bachelorette party and my friends and I had a blast! The ladies arrived to our hotel room on time and with a bottle of bubbly in hand. They were friendly and effusive while still being extremely professional– setting up quickly, turning on an awesome playlist and getting straight to work!
Everyone’s hair and makeup looked on-​point; I actually think I was most dissatisfied with my own makeup! I’m a big beauty junkie and I normally like to tape up my lids before applying false lashes. I was a little bummed that none of the aestheticians had any tape in their kits. I also didn’t think my smokey eye was blended/​contoured as smoothly as it should have been (I prefer a more dimensional, rounded and large shape). But these are just minor tweaks that I would have made to the services. I really appreciate the complimentary lip gloss gifted to me as the bride; the color is so flattering and the formula makes my lips look moist and full– It has seriously become my go-​to gloss!
I am subtracting half a star for some confusion we had with payment; there was a slight overcharge which Stefanie fixed right away for us when we realized the miscalculation. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Pre-​Dame and I would definitely book with them again! I have recommended their services to a number of my friends as well!

I had a rather terrible experience the first time I went on a make-​up trial for my wedding. After that whole ordeal, I felt rather disheartened and worried that finding someone for my big day was going to prove more difficult then I could have ever imagined. I reached out to a friend who suggested I contacted Stefanie at Pre-​Dame and that was one of the best decisions I made. Stefanie is amazing. She knows a ton about make-​up and is great at giving you exactly what you are looking for. At my make-​up trial we went over all the details and she made sure I was comfortable with everything she was doing (and wrote down everything we decided on so she had it as a reference for the wedding!). On the day of she did such an amazing jobs on me and the girls. Everyone looked flawless yet natural which is exactly what I wanted. In all the pictures from the big day, I look happy and comfortable and that’s a testament to how good Stefanie is!

We hired Pre-​Dame to do makeup and hair touchups for corporate headshots for about 25 – 30 women back in November 2014. The Pre-​dame staff did an amazing job! The initial planning process went very smoothly with Stefanie. She was friendly, professional, answered all questions, and was very prompt with her responses. During the day of the event the Pre-​Dame staff arrived early, were very professional and friendly, and best of all did an amazing job with everyone’s hair and makeup. All of the attendees were very impressed and inquired about using Pre-​Dame for their own personal events as well! So happy, we trusted the other Unilocal reviewers and hired Pre-​Dame. They exceeded our expectations. Looking forward to using them again next year!

Stefanie is absolutely amazing! Not only did she do an absolutely gorgeous makeup job on everyone, she is an absolute pleasure to have around. She is a genuinely nice person and is a pleasure to be around. I highly recommend!

Stefanie is absolutely fantastic!!! I just recently did a makeup consultation/​lesson with her to get some fun tips on doing my makeup for television and film. She was so knowledgable and easy to chat with. All her techniques were clear and sensible and she relays the info with such ease! She made it so much fun!!! We literally gabbed and gabbed like we were old friends just playing with makeup. I had such a wonderful experience with her that I asked her to do my makeup for a following photo shoot, and again… sheer brilliance! She was so calming, fun, and funny that walking into the shoot was just easy and a blast! And, my gosh, she illuminated my face! Stefanie is fantastic! She was super responsive and helpful from when I initially contacted her about a makeup lesson for me and a friend. The lesson itself was fantastic — she knows her stuff and gave us lots of options from an every day look to how to glam it up more for evening wear.

Stefanie did a make up party for me and 2 friends when we were in the City for the weekend. She was AWESOME! Great personality and extremely talented! We were all very pleased with our make up. I did a Pre-​Dame party with some girlfriends and it was the most fun, glamorous way to get ready for a big night out. Pre-​Dame is like the rent-​the-​runway of makeup. I mean, how often do you get the chance to be made up by a professional makeup artist who knows how to make you look your absolute best? It was a unforgettable experience and I totally recommend it!
Stef showed up with a suitcase of makeup, champagne, and the sweetest, friendliest attitude. She came up with amazing looks for each of us, and I’ve never seen my friends look so incredible. Some of us wanted more old-​school glamour, some of went with more cutting-​edge looks — Stef was a pro at all of them, and helped recommend what would look best with our features. (Honestly, it would have been worth it just for the gorgeous facebook profile pictures we all go out of it!) To top it off, Stef gave me tips to help me recreate the look on my own.

Your own personal makeup artist + drinks = pure girl joy!

Recently pre-​damed, and it was freakin fabulous. I feel like I stumbled upon nyc’s best kept secret.
It was my best friend’s 30^th bday and we wanted to do something a little different/​special before going out to celebrate. We came up with the idea of getting our makeup done, and luckily had read about Pre-​Dame, which seemed awesome. There were 5 of us who wanted in, and when I contacted Stefanie she couldn’t have been more friendly and easy to coordinate with.
There were 5 of us girls — all really different in terms of style — but all really pumped about having someone come to US and do our makeup while we got the night started.
Stefanie came to my apt with tons of makeup and a bottle of champagne in hand on a Saturday evening. She was really fun (we honestly tried to get her to come out with us afterward we loved her so much, but sadly for us she had another makeup gig to get to) and insanely talented (she gave everyone a lot of individual attention and everyone was so happy with their look)
Everyone looked amazing, I mean, model amazing. It was seriously one of the best things we possibly could have done to make the night special — first because while the pre-​dame party itself was so much fun, but second because we felt so freakin hot all night.

I’ve been pre-​damed twice, and both times were amazing. Stef is such a talented makeup artist, but — bonus — she’s really fun too! Sharing drinks with your friends and getting to look just about as pretty as you can… who could ask for a better way to start your night out? Her prices are reasonable for a group of girls (just about equivalent to the money you’re saving by drinking at home for the first two hours…). I’m sure I’ll do another pre-​dame, and I always recommend her to all of my friends when they have plans for a bit night.

My sister had a pre-​dame party last summer and we all had a great time getting all prettied up. It was silly girl fun at its best, and I learned some awesome makeup techniques that I’ve been able to use myself since that night. Stefanie has a great energy and will quickly put you at ease – plus it’s fun to tell people you’re busy getting «pre-​damed.» Such a fun night :)

Stefanie is a professional, lots of fun, and great makeup artist all around. Learned some new tricks, got new makeup ideas, and a shopping list for new shades:) All the girls got great ideas and loved the way they looked when we were all done up. I’m not a girly girl but every once in a while it’s fun to dress and look your finest. especially when you have good reason to celebrate! My best friend decided she wanted to go out NYC style for her last night of her single life. She had heard abt predame from a friend and sold it to her bridesmaids as «a night of glamour» and told us Stef would be really chill. She was sooooo right! Stef was awesome! We sipped champagne while we laughed and had a blast! I was actually really impressed. Everyone looked great. It was the perfect way to start our night. It put everyone in a great mood. Everyone was confident, in good spirits and a litte tipsy. I’m recommending predate to all my fiends. LOVE Stef. She’ll be your best friend in like. a minute!

Pre-Dame’s service prepped me and my friends for my birthday celebration. By the time our visit with Stefanie was through, we were beautiful, tipsy and even had a few expert makeup tips under our belts to use on future occasions.
