just one star because the lady who did my eye brown and eye lash extention was nice. that’s was it. but the eye lash and eye brown was the worst that I ever had done in any other place before in my life. I told the price will make a different or better bud was a big mistake .she did my eye brow and eye lash so damn fast that I told her to please take her time because I want a Quality work on my petition. but she keep telling me my eye lash and eye browm comes out nice and I say nice for u but not nice for me. but shes was not good listeners for the customer need. just money .I comes out so unhappy from this damn place the hope black woman like me who like to pay for good work then someone doing ugly work ., not recommend it at all. and beside that I tip her for bad work that she did .when she ask me if I like it I respond the right way no I’m not happy with your work. but she keep looking on my face like she did not understand me.,

I’ve been coming here for the past few years and stopped going about a month ago. I always had great experiences there until they apparently changed management or hired new employees. I decided to give them one last shot today because I was on a waiting list for a manicure next door and it was convenient to go there rather than trek to my new place.
Big mistake. I have to say that it was the worst threading experience I have ever had. I cannot express how painful it was. It was clear that the person had no idea what they were doing. I will never go there again even if it’s free.

I’ve been going here for almost two years because it’s so close to work and I haven’t had time to search for a new salon. They’re pretty inconsistent with eyebrows. They just don’t pay attention to detail. I went there yesterday and my eyebrows look horrible. My eyebrows are usually pretty thick and I go to the same lady every time. I always tell her to keep it thick and just clean up but they always just go about doing what they want. My eyebrows look so bad if I don’t pencil it in because I look mad and angry. No more touching my eyebrows. I would rather pay more to have someone pay attention to my eyebrows than pay $ 7 for messing up my brows and wanting to get it over with fast. Wish I was back in California where they charge more but actually pay close attention and take their time. Hope I find a better place!

I really like this place! It is very clean and the people there are hospitable. Both times I have come in exactly at their closing time and they are more than happy to help. I recommend this location.

I’ve been coming here for a year and it’s always great and affordable. Pinky is Amazon and the girls are all very good. I just don’t recommend the Asian lady.

I’ve been going here for about a year since I changed jobs and couldn’t make it to my previous threading salon quickly after work or on a lunch break (it’s crosstown). After the first time going, I didn’t feel the job they did on my brows was the greatest, but it was OK. They’re friendly enough and the price is OK. If my eyebrows weren’t perfect, I usually could pluck a couple hairs here and there to get it the way I wanted exactly afterwards. I went yesterday (which will be my last time going back to this place), I asked the woman to just clean up my brows, which I had neglected for like a month. She threaded them and trimmed them, and let me look in the mirror. My right brow wasn’t as arched as the left, so I asked her to arch it a little more. I closed my eyes and she did something. When I opened my eyes and looked in the mirror, there was a chunk missing from the top of my eyebrow! I told her I asked for her to arch it more and she argued that I said «cut.» Who asks for cuts in their eyebrow?! Do I look like Kriss Kross circa 1993??? Even if she thought I said this, wouldn’t you ask to confirm, since this is a weird request, in my opinion??? And it was literally a chunk missing from the tip of what was my arch. Anyway, she tried to fix it which left me with thin brow ends and I left upset. This was the final straw. I will make the effort to find a quality threading salon even if it means making my way crosstown, because this was just ridiculous.

Friday 7÷31÷15 at 6:15 PM Are you kidding me? I SAID JUST A CLEAN UP. This woman chopped off half my eyebrow. She clearly wanted to go back to sitting comfortably on the couch as soon as possible. DO NOT GO, UNLESS YOU WANT TO LEAVE THAT PLACE WITH HALF A BROW. Horrendous.

This place offers Tons of Services in one little cutely named location.
After months of growing out my Brows I decided enough was enough and they needed to be corralled. Oh I wish! I love strong brows and mine are not there yet but they did need some grooming.
I walked in as the girls were lounging in the seats, I asked if they were open because i was confused at their super relaxed almost bored stare. One girl proceeded to greet me and was amicable. I asked her to groom my brows but leave them Full, also informed her that my eyes water easily but I don’t mind. She was a pro at providing a Quick and Tear-​Less service, I was impressed. My eyes usually water endlessly. Paid, Tipped and left happy.
Upon revision later I realized that the downside to a quick service was the lack of attention to the little hairs that get overlooked. The ones I really wanted to groom, outside the acceptable brow area! The shape of the Brows she gave me was not spectacular (which I have received before elsewhere, who knows how they made that happen!) My brows are not awesomely snapped so I don’t expect them to work magic. I had to pluck the extra little creatures on my own.
So the service was good. not great. but good.
The scary part is that you never know who you are getting with so many girls working and the possible high turnover of employees.
They offer a punch-​Card, 10^th one free. I don’t know if I can risk it 9 times for a free one, nope.

I took advantage of a groupon deal for an aloe Brazilian here (oh hey if you know me) and it was the most painless one I’ve had, which is saying a lot since it was a long time since I’ve waxed. The staff was super caring and constantly asked if the wax was too warm & if I needed a break.
The space was plain, but secluded and the wax didn’t take long at all. They also gave a loyalty card at the end. The groupon price was under 20 after I applied the SPRING10 code for $ 10 off a groupon so the price was more than reasonable. The typical price was decently low as well, but I would call to confirm it, I vaguely remember $ 40. I would definitely go back in the future :)

Sonia was absolutely amazing — she stayed pas closing and did an extremely careful job, making sure everything was to my liking. Will definitely come back :)

If I could give this place a half star, I would. I came here for the first time this summer (June) since I am more comfortable with women who are familiar with Asian hair. That time, it was alright. I got handed a loyalty card and thought, why not come back again. So the day before I leave for a 3 week long trip to Europe with no less than 25 family members, I go back and this happens:
I walked in with slightly overgrown, beautifully arched eyebrows and left with one thinner than the other, and arches nowhere to be seen.
In the words of Chandler Bing (about Joey Tribbiani’s eyebrows),“It looks like a baby caterpillar chasing its mama.“
I am from Chicago and have spent the last three years with my esthetician trying to get a coveted arch since my eyebrows are naturally a little on the rounder side.
The lady who was working on me completely butchered them and I am not back in Chicago, having just re-​started the long process of getting amy arches back.

I moved from the EV area to the UWS and was no longer willing to make the trek to my favorite place in the old hood to clean up my eyebrows. One of my coworkers has amazing eyebrows so I asked her where she gets them done. She told me to head over to Pinky’s and to specifically ask for Pinky so I did just that. I have to say, she does a phenomenal job and I went to Pinky two other times until I was in dire straights for my eyebrows to be done and she was not there. I am always hesistant to let someone new touch my eyebrows because they are easily butchered and since my hair is light and I’m not some hairy mongoloid the hair does not grow back as quickly as it would for other people. So, with hesitation I let another person in the salon thread my eyesbrows and she completely destroyed them. One side is thinner than the other — she was taking hair off of the top of my eyebrow and I remember thinking. oh no, that is she doing?! And then the eyebrow on the other side (the thicker one) is shorter and doesn’t align properly with the crevice of my eye. I was horrified and pretty annoyed by the entire debacle to be honest. It’s been close to a month and they still look awful. I have to use an eyebrow pencil to make them look even (which I never use) am going to have to spend months growing these suckers out again from the last idiot that screwed them up.
ONLY GO TO PINKY’S IF PINKY IS THERE!!! I regret going against my gut instinct and am now paying. If I didn’t end up letting someone else thread my brows I would have rated this place 5 stars without question.

Leaving Pinkys now after getting eyebrows threaded by Sonya. Quick, easy, painless (as much as threading can ever be!), and Sonya was super sweet. I used to go to Pinkys on 6^th Ave; also good but this location seems newer and brighter. This is definitely my new go-​to spot.

Went in for underarm wax, terrible! Just terrible! Here’s a list of why you should run;
Tiny room (maybe not SO bad!)
Does not clean area (wipes a tissue over underarm)
Blows on wax (and I’m talking full on salivating blowing)
Wax was cold to the touch
Missed patches
Hair broken off at skin
A very regretful $ 10

Just a couple of blocks away from my office– been going here for almost a year. They are located just beside FIKA so i
Like going there before my coffee break. They rarely have a line, even during lunch time which I appreciate. They are efficient, you can expect to be in and out within 10 mins.
Overall service depends on who you get. I should try and remember the lady’s name I like. Sometime I get blisters from this one lady, and I had her again today… it was painful.
Do get the 10 for one card — my next one is free. After, I think I am going to try a different place since there are so many in the area.

During my initial visit, Pinky actually did my eyebrows. My experience was pleasant and Pinky was professional. The space is quite small. Service was quick, which was good.
Unfortunately, when I came in last week, Pinky wasn’t there. It was early in the afternoon, and I was the only customer. I was immediately greeted and asked to sit down. The woman who was set to do my brows asked me to move my «bag» — at least that’s what I thought she said (You’d think I was clutching my handbag against my chest or something). So I readjusted my handbag.
But then she continued to repeat something that sounded as though she wanted me to move my bag some more. And when I asked her what she meant, she said more clearly «your hair» (I’m sporting a new, shorter ‘do these days). So I moved my whimsical pixie-​esque bang outta her way. I guess I didn’t *move” it out of my face to her satisfaction because she repeated in an octave too high for my taste: «your hair, hair, hair, hair!»
Uh, huh. .. well, I’m not hard of hearing. So I decided to leave after feeling uncomfortable in that moment.
This review is based on two extremely different experiences at the same salon: One was performance based (4 stars for Pinky), the other customer-​service based (1 star).

$ 7 for quick eyebrow threading and clean-​up. They’ll have you in and out within 15 minutes, but the quality of the threading is really good.
Customer service isn’t the best and they aren’t chatty, but this is a good choice if you’re in the Murray Hill/​Flatiron neighborhoods.

LOVE this place — I started going in February after I needed to get my eyebrows done for Valentines day and didn’t have a chance to get home before my boyfriend picked me up.
It is now April and my eyebrows look amazing — this is the only place i go… granted it is a bit painful — just buck up and before you know it — it will be over

I was coming here for a quick eyebrow threading because I needed to kill some time before my dinner reservation. It was right next to Les Halles Brasserie and seemed legit. Therefore, I went in and think I could easily kill 10 minutes here while I waited for my table. Boy, I was wrong. But for a very good reason!
I got in and Pinky sat me down right away. She didn’t even ask me what shape of eyebrow I want. I guess she can read my mind?! It was slightly irritating but it was done in like 2 minutes! The seat was not even warm and I had to leave already! To my surprise, my eyebrows turned out great and it costs me merely $ 7.
They also offer a loyalty reward card. Come 9 times and get your 10^th for free. I think I will come back for another threading soon!

Based on a friend’s recommendation I visited Pinky’s for my first ever eyebrow threading session. They person who did my brow’s was super friendly and took her time to do a precise, clean shape.
The service was also VERY cheap (only $ 7).
Overall, I was very happy and plan to visit Pinky’s again when my brows are bushy enough for their next shaping.
